I am planning on building a 7x8 room. This video is probably the best thing I've seen that isn't large scale. I'm using Google sketchup to help with the lumber needed estimates. Thanks for all the videos.

The foam / moving blankets inside are a MUST. Otherwise your ears will die from the high end, especially cymbals

JUST big enough to fit my kit lol, but sadly it's been demolished for my now-office

Outside the Drum room: You can hear quieter drums & cymbals.
Outside the Room the Drum Room is in: Drums, hardly any cymbals.
30 ft away in my Bedroom (door closed) I hear essentially nothing. A tiny bump sound from the kick if I listen for it.
***** Would you please make a video of yourself playing in the drum room with the camera outside the drum room? You could drum some with the door open, and then some with the door closed. If you have a decibel reader, that would be really interesting to see in frame but outside the room as well.

Awesome! Thank you. We just bought a drum set for our son yesterday, and it is pretty loud. So, we're very interested in soundproofing.right now. :-)
