I have been listening to this and the Daft Punk one over and over again EVERY BIT as much for the reaction and the emotional freak outs as for the amazing performances. I'm not all that much of a music guy but I'm learning from this what is good. Watching her (you) grimace and smile and groan and swoon and sway and scream and swear and no way at the "marvelousness" that you present us makes me like music more.

I may have gotten the wrong impression from your words at around 11:56, but "living in the consequences of a small group of people's actions" couldn't sound more British. Britain was illegally occupying Ireland, a sovereign nation, for 700 years. The freedom fighters were fighting for the independence they once had until colonial Britain came along. I'm not Irish myself, but I am indigenous Canadian, so I too have *strong* emotions towards occupying colonial powers like Britain. Fuck the Monarchy and the British Empire. Did you know that almost every *single* week of the calendar year, there is a country celebrating its independence from Britain? Yeah, Britain were the bad guys for most of the empire's history...like the Cardassians in Deep Space Nine, occupying and brutally oppressing Bajor. I was liking your channel and song reviews, but I'm afraid I've had to unsub and hide your channel from my recommendations now. There are a lot of vocal coach reacts channels out there, I'll choose one that doesn't side with the oppressors... I think you completely missed the gist of the song too...

Honestly, I'd just like to hear you do a cover of this song! When you sang "Dreamin" and "More than a feeling", mimicking another singer perfectly again I might add, your whole body opens up, your face lights up and your terrific smile just shines. You do it without thinking about it and that's why it's so good I believe. The notes are deceptively simple, but they're catchy. It's something people can sing along with and they feel more engaged by the song. They connect. This is what I've heard referred to as a "hook" in the music industry (the chorus usually but also a chord or riff). You've said yourself that a song or melody can be technically almost perfect with brilliant lyrics. But if it does not resonate with the listener, touch or confront them in some meaningful way, it won't be remembered for long. I realize this is new age for music of course. But some things never really change.
