Neville is an interesting one. I liked him as a kid but i've grown to think he is bland but cool. If you look at the wooden railway description of him, i think it says he dosen't hold a grudge, so i think he coulda replaced percy in Day of the diesels, because he wouldn't hold a grudge against the diesels and would comply only if their plan didnt involve hurting his friend, Thomas. (Also Molly shoulda replaced Rebecca in the BWBA era)

Something i think the Hit Era should've done with Edward was at least have him have a dynamic with Emily, the (at the time) newbie engine. Say that Edward was getting put down because of his age. Usually, he doesn't get very affected by being called old, but an engine, lets say James, says something particularly nasty to him and THAT one insult gets to him. Then Emily comes along, notices Edward and confronts him about it. Emily then tells him a little secret of hers, something along the lines of "If it makes you feel any better, I'm actually older than you". The reason she'd say this is because her basis, the GNR Stirling Single, was built in the 1870s, earlier than Edward's basis, the Furness K2 "Larger Seagull" locomotive. So yeah, Emily's older than Edward. The more you know.

How I would fix Edward Strikes Out: Instead of Edward and Gordon being rude to Rocky, what if Rocky is the rude one. Gordon witnesses Rocky making fun of Harvey for not being as strong as him and tells Edward. This makes Edward decide not to use Rocky. Later, someone gets into an accident and Edward takes the old twin cranes to the site of the wreck. However, in the middle of the clean up, Gordon gets into a crash and the cranes aren't available. If we need to fulfill the 7 minute runtime, have Edward ask Harvey for help with clearing up the mess. However, when they arrive, Gordon is completely tipped over and Harvey can't lift him back on the rails. Edward then gets Rocky and tells him he'll only bring him if he apologizes to Harvey. When Harvey feels like he's gonna be insulted again, Rocky brings up how he secretly feels jealous of him for being able to move and not being so heavy. He lifts Gordon back onto the rails, and Rocky and Harvey become friends.

Man. Am I the only one who would have loved an episode or a story about Whiff breaking his glasses and needing new ones? I want to see a story about him struggling to see without them and gets lost or even confuses cargo for trash.

IMO, I think Neville would be a good CGI Toby replacement and Rosie for CGI Emily and Hank for CGI Henry and Flora would be good for Whiffs Wish instead of whiff and Stanley would be a good replacement for Series 12 Onwards Thomas when he’s out of character such as being impulsive and naive.

I hate the word Life in ASodorLife that says on your channel not being mean about it I'm just saying it nicely and I just don't like it, it dosen't make me happy at all 2D version of Thomas & I wish it was gone forever I've watched Thomas ever since but the 2D version is the only one I'm never gonna watch at all because it's way too terrible and everybody else hates it too and want the 3D version back and I started to hate the Big World Bif Adventures Rebrand now because of Mattel Portraying me and everybody else by letting i deem a failure, wasting the BWBA rebrand ideas for no reason and replaced it with 2D after that and it's not good at all. We want 3D back once it does the better. Thomas was actually sticking up for Rosie after Diesel shunts her but then he, Bill, Ben and Gordon were all teasing Thomas for thinking that he's in love with Rosie but he's not and it's really painful that way and it really makes me very upset and I hate seeing Thomas & Rosie like that and I don't ever like it and I feel bad for what happened in there and why did they make Thomas & Rosie like that in the first place? And then says "I'll show them" in thinking he's plotting a very devious plan by thinking "lets he how they get on all day without me helping them?" and then they come looking for him and then thinks somebody is missing him but there was nobody around and Diesel grumbles that there's no one there and asks "And why aren't they looking for me?" and I hate the way he sounds when he says it like that and then finds glow in the dark paint and then has an idea of how to get the other engines to look for him and then goes up to Paxton and Nia all covered in glow in the dark paint and ghostly tells them that they must be missing him and that he wants them to look for him and it makes me upset in thinking he's doing some stupid plan to get there attention and playing some stupid trick on them too them and it's bad! I hate tricks, jokes, pranks, being fooled, I hate it when people joke with me and there and I hate them I hate those don't ask me why I don't like them I just don't and y gotta respect me on this ok I really don't like them there bad for me and I hate them and then Diesel's plan backfires when he gets a surprise from Nia and Paxton covered in the same paint too only on there faces, Diesel Do Right, because Diesel grumbles about thinking he's the only one that gets into trouble and then later has an idea of how to get the other diesels in trouble by asking Rebecca to do there jobs improperly Diesel and I hate it that he said in some very stupid way, Huh, silly diesels how would they like to be in trouble all the time? He should be taught a lesson for all of this and in Diesel Glows Away and be left derailed just like what happened in Diesel Ghostly Christmas, Thomas' Fuzzy Friend, because I hate dogs now because there too noisey and one I use to have with me and I felt bad for watching this episodes because it had a dog in there making very bad noises at the beginning of the episode and it interrupted Gordon when he tried to speak to Thomas but the bad yapping noises keeps showing up more times and James was making fun f him and then Nia comes along and asking what's he doing there? And I feel bad for watching it when I relasied I didn't like dogs at all even in Thomas too and I swear I'm gonna stop watching it now and I wish these were taken down too because I feel bad for what Mattel did to us on purpose and I wish better changes will happen.

Edward Strikes Out should’ve been called Edward and the Runaway Crane and here’s how the episode should’ve been: the episode starts with narrator explaining who Edward is and then it would cut to Edward puffing into Brendam docks to see Gordon and Percy angry and upset. Edward asks them what’s wrong and Gordon tells them that the new crane (Rocky) is very rude and unpleasant and tells him to watch out. Edward heeds Gordon’s warning and then goes to collect his pipe train. When Edward backs downs into his goods train next to Rocky, Rocky looks down at him and starts making rude remarks towards Edward and tells that he’s old, frail, and useless. Edward knows what Rocky is saying is not true and tells him that he may be old but he’s still quite useful and Rocky then says more rude things to Edward, but Edward ignores him and puffs away when the guard blows his whistle. Later on Henry arrives to collect Rocky and take him to a new location. Rocky says rude things to Henry which obviously makes Henry upset. Henry then pulls Rocky out of the docks and while they’re on Gordon’s hill, the coupling between Henry and Rocky snaps and Rocky becomes a runaway. Rocky races down Gordon’s hill with ever increasing speed. Meanwhile Edward is puffing down the line after finishing delivering the pipes and then a loud HEEELLLP and then Rocky races by Edward and then Edward says ‘oh no, Rocky’s a runaway I must save him’ and then Edward chases after Rocky. It would be a intense runaway and would be able to overtake Rocky and the signalman who change the points so Edward would go onto Rocky’s line and Rocky then slams into Edward and then Edward slams on his breaks and is then horrified to Thomas with Annie and Clarabel on the same line as Edward and Edward puts every once of strength he has against Rocky to save Rocky, Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel. Thankfully the signal man changes the points and Edward and Rocky are diverted into a siding and stops mere inches from the buffers. Everyone cheers for Edward for saving Rocky, Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel from a terrible accident and Rocky then apologizes to Edward for being so rude to him and Edward forgives him. The scene would then cut to another of the narrator saying that Edward and Rocky are now good friends and Rocky now helps clean up accidents and also apologized to the other engines that Rocky was rude too. I genuinely wish that THIS was the official episode instead of what we got.

Be real, if Percy was female instead of male, then Edward would’ve been a more prominent main character in the classic series and in the Brenner era and he would’ve been way better treated in the hit era since he would’ve been the 5th boy instead of the 6th. He also wouldn’t had been written off in season 21. This is what Edward’s starring episodes in the Classic era would’ve been if Percy was female instead of male (but still have her be named Percy and have her look and sound identical to her male counterpart in every single way) 1. Edward and Gordon/Edward helps out (season 1) 2. Edward, Gordon and Henry/Henry to the rescue (season 1) 3. Trouble in the shed (season 1) 4. A cow on the line/cows (season 2) 5. P.A Problems (season 21) As you can see here, Percy being female would’ve benefited the franchise A LOT in the long run, especially Henry and Edward. Edward would’ve still had been unfortunately written out in season 22, but at least the writing off of Edward would’ve been a last minute decision instead of always planned since he would’ve been the 5th boy instead of the 6th. Also since Edward would’ve been more prominent in the classic series and the Brenner era along with being way better treated in the Hit era, then it would’ve destroyed the argument that “Edward is stronger as a side character than as a main” since Edward would’ve been more prominent than Henry and almost as prominent as James in the classic series, would’ve been just as prominent as the others while staying perfectly in character in the Hit era, and would’ve had the same amount of starring episodes as Henry in the Brenner era while staying perfectly in character. This probably would’ve all had been the case, since the writers season 8 onwards would’ve saw the dynamic between Edward and Percy in season 5 and in Magic Railroad and they definitely would’ve sometimes utilized it when writing starring episodes for Edward. Of course you can still have Edward give advice to other characters in other episodes where Edward’s not the starring character. I genuinely wish that all of this was the case and I’m genuinely frustrated that it wasn’t. Percy is a uni gender name short for both Perseus and Persephone so Percy totally could’ve been female.

I was thinking the same thing why Edward didn't like Rocky at first because he did had an accident when Big Mickey knocked him over with a ship boiler in season 7 which is Edward's Brass Band and that's why he hated Cranes since so I could understand why he didn't like Rocky just like you said. But I do like how Edward appreciates Rocky in the end and he doesn't hate Cranes anymore I love that.

i think they could've written edward strikes out with the motive of edward, the old and experienced one, being conservative and disliking modern replacements like ''the old one always worked fine, we dont need this new nosense''. this would at least kept some consistency and still add a flaw to him to work with. moral: stay open to new things. but hit messed up. 5:57 i really like your theory and i think you could've tied it in with my motive pretty good aswell. very good and entertaining video btw. :)

Emily was very inconsistent, badly written, generally unlikable, and was the main indicator that what was apparently still 'classic' Thomas had all but stopped caring about the show and its legacy. Why people constantly come to her defense is beyond me.

I'm probably gonna get shot for this, but... I actually like Billy, since although he was seen as S1 Thomas 2.0, he is kinda relatable to me when my sister acts like my mom. Also, he looks pretty cute.

Certainly an underused but colorful cast. And yeah, I'd also consider 7 to be more Classic than Hit. Character Gallery currently covered Mighty Mac, Hank, Hector, Madge, and Molly - some darn good ideas in that. Molly certainly does ring in 'main' with the red boiler bands, and compared to the others, she had numerous mainline passing cameos. Mighty Mac had a nice concept in their debut, if only I could settle a number for them... Dennis managed to get a personality driven story and sorta got a brother when he didn't irl. I feel like you could still have the rumor continue even if you made Edward his true self, like Percy being unsure and spreads it anyway. His basis, along with the 'ugly duckling' could also make for wartime PTSD. My main doubt on the basis dynamic, would be Thomas leaving the year he was built. Haven't really favored her red over the lavender, but still a shame her reintroduction went to waste. Jeremy might be better off talking with Gordon... Not much to say on Rocky. Freddie being 7 is messy, but for me so is Ivo being #7 almost 30 years after Duke joined. Whiff having glasses is interesting. Billy getting annoyed with Charlie could be something... Madge could likely be seen as most tolerable, and giving the SkR a road friend was a great move. And of the few Miller era girls, she stands out for being a road vehicle. Not much to say on Hector either... Stanley, yeah - unfortunately bland. Hank could be interesting with the Big 3, but the C was warranted there. I heard Flora might have road wheels, and the coach looks interesting, but yeah. From Isobella, Molly, Flora, to Carly, Rebecca, Darcy, they had a weird thing for yellow girls. Rosie the closest to a purple one, which even then didn't last.

Funny that you bring up the rewrite for Edward strikes out as Brendam Productions basically did your plot 4 years ago. Not exactly but still in a similar direction.

Whiff is such a lovely Hit era character. While in the model series I personally didn't think much of him, he feels so right in the CGI series. Definitely wish he was given a brenner era main role. Also a comment on him as an inspection engine. This would actually be accurate Aerolite in real life! Aerolite was purpose built as an Inspectors saloon, pulling a single coach so directors/ the chief mechanical engineer could inspect and travel the line. Funny as it is kinda the opposite end of the spectrum to pulling rubbish trains. Maybe Whiff's knowledge of the railway through his island wide rubbish collection made the Fat Controller see him as the perfect guide when doing track and infrastructure inspections. So much more going on with Whiff then most people think.
