Mandarin definitely helped me with vocabulary and sino-korean numbers! I think as I progress with both, I just get confused though😅 Some words just make more sense and stick in one language over another😂
Is there an ebook or tablet version available. I noticed that you were working with these books via tablet. What kind of tablet do you have?
Her skin is amazing.
My first words I learned in Swedish were jag älskar dig . I am an young royals fan
❤❤
i have the first book 3rd edition but it seems more tailored towards a class room where i can see it being effective but for solo study its not the greatest least not for me its still good i assume if you wanna deal with that tho i assume
Bra video :) du kan intervjua mig om du vill
Cool
Hej Hej.. I am learning Swedish. I’m running into an issue where I pronounce “G” and “J” from my throat like in Dutch, so far nobody has corrected me but I notice that no natives talk like that
Your Swedish is beautiful by the way. I understand you fully.
I started laughing so hard when u said skolpadda because yesterday I kept repeating it out loud 😂😂
I have situation with korean grammar 😂.. there hasn't been a language that I have stopped to learn so many times. Interesting video . Miss watching you ❤️🌸 I started learning mandarin some years ago ,i love it sooo much. Grammar is much simpler.
I am commenting something!! haha. No but I found the same even with wildly different languages. I started with Japanese and went into Russian, and despite previous attempts before of learning Russian, after having reached an intermediate level of Japanese, it was a game-changer for my Russian. Not just because I've experienced learning a language now, so previously frustrating concepts were more hand-waved off, but also the relationship between those two languages specifically. The grammar, while structurally different yes, has concepts that overlap. Learning Russian from English, those concepts are lost because they don't exist in English, so the explanations are, basically, trash, haha. But Japanese books that teach Russian can just say, "Oh, it's just this in Japanese," and my mind was blown lmao. So even if languages are completely opposite, imo, there are still going to be connections you can make with them. (Like Japanese can't capture every concept in Russian, but English can fill in some of those gaps!) I think that's why the more languages you learn, the easier it gets. Not just because of experience, but because of these overlapping concepts. Anyway thanks for coming to my tedtalk okay bye xD
I started with Korean and am adding in Chinese but like you said they are very different languages.
What about the fees?
I love this video!!!! and I need a flip through this first notebook so bad
What English proficiency test did you take in order to fulfill the basic requirements "basic elegibility" from Lund University?
I’m an native English speaker so I didn’t have to do that ~ Rae
I really appreciated this vlog!! I'm looking into studying in Taiwan and this was so helpful
does anyone know how I can join the discord, it said invalid invite :<
Can we have these books pdf , can you share the links please ?
no Duolingo is nice
Dislike because you use Duolingo
I plan on moving to Taiwan to study Mandarin in the future! Oddly it's a bit difficult to find videos like these that give me insight on what my experience may be like, so 谢谢! Love your content.💖
I couldn't get through the first 5 seconds, to be honest.
I mean really 😂
It is ...multidemantional...as language..as acts
Thanks for this video! I'm planning to go to China or Taiwan to study chinese for some weeks. Thanks a lot for sll the details! 加油!!!✨💪🏽
I've been on and off with Swedish forever. It just take so much mental work and I lose energy and drive for it. Thanks for sharing your tips!
It's easy to be too alert when in others' company.
I work as a Swedish teacher and the issue that I have with Rivstart is that the grammar explanations are usually very incomplete and over simplified. As a teacher you have to have a lot of grammatical knowledge to really be able to supplement the explanations of the books. I can imagine this must make it more difficult to study on your own. As for the C1-books, I find that the book Språkporten is a bit more interesting as it's more focused on Swedish culture, whereas Rivstart is very focused on literature.
I know that having a teacher would be ideal but for those of us who don’t have that option what book would you recommend for a beginner speaker?
@@euroesc5013 Unfortunately there are no complete grammar books in Swedish. They are all overly simplified in my experience. Rivstart is the "best" option. I have a CZcams channel where I put up videos with more in depth grammar explanations so if you want you can use those videos to supplement the teachings from the book. Go to my playlists and you´ll see everything organized by level. :)
@@TeacherAlexAlexyou just gained a new follower ;) you channel looks really promising and organized, i like it. I’ll use your videos and if i find it necessary i’ll buy the rivstart books. Thanks for ur help!
@@euroesc5013 Thank you! I'm happy you like it. 🙂
This is perfect inspiration for my podcast about introverted language learning (Shhh, I’m Learning), thank you so much for talking about this!!!
What a great title I'm stoked!
Omg I’ve never heard anyone else describe the experience of having a surge of energy when you’re having a really good people time, but then crashing afterward. I totally have that at times as well. Great chat 💜
Wow

Jimin's WHAT NOW?! 😂 No, but actually!! Accents can be such a point of tension for language learners. It's completely okay to have an accent, and if anything it shows how colourful of a person you are. Be proud!
there is a grammatical rules in duolingvo? really? I didn't find them on laptop version
Great tips! Makes sense!
What was that 😂 03:29
do you think it's possible to get the rivstart book for free online?
yes just look up the pdf
Thank you so much for your videos! They honestly deserve more likes and attention
I love this video. I've wanted to learn many languages since i was a kid and i've only picked up bits and pieces until the last few years.
You can do it! And I think the most important thing is that you still enjoy them and have love for them. Imagine if you rushed it and began to hate it!
