They can be depending on where you get them from. Captive bred will always be a bit more expensive but well worth the price compared to wild caught. I would recommend joining an emerald tree skink group on facebook as there is often people with babies or pairs.

@-tfy-8453 looking back I have to agree. I think I was a little excited to hopefully have babies and misjudged the springtails.

Prices for the duckies has come down so much in the last little bit. Dairy cows are nice because of their size and boldness, mine are always out and about.

@PatsCreatureCave in the UK Duckies are currently £60 for 5 whereas the Dairy Cows are cheap and better for beginners. I'm looking forward to it.

That would have been awesome. I was always out stomping through the woods and marshes when I was kid. Even to this day I still catch critters on my adventures. There is only lizard found where I am from, the Five Lined Skink and I have never seen one in the wild sadly.

That's awesome. That would be a dream trip for me, would be great to see all the history and culture of that area. I learned recently that there is a population of these in parts of New York.

She is a sweetheart. This little one was produced by my adult pair. They hatch out so small.

Already named him Shiro. So maybe Shiro the boss? Or boss man Shiro?

I don't have a care guide but I do have a video up of how I initially housed them. I think @Aquarimax Pets has a care guide for them.

They really are. The variation in each of them is nice as well. There is one that is more of a turquoise than a blue with a different shade of grey.

They really are. Of all the types of lizards out there, they are by far my favorite.

She can be a little hissy...most of the time. I blame the sunkissed gene. Amels are gorgeous looking, I really like the lack of black pigmentation that they have.

They are extremely fast. They do feel safe in their enclosure which is bonus if they get spooked. So far I have only been able to get them to come out on my hands for food before bolting back in.

I use the green floral tubes in different spots in the enclosure. 9 times out of 10 they will lay in the tubes for me.
