I know this is from 3 years ago but I do have a question. Unlike yours mine does seem to have power and it peeps but it doesn't seem to recognise any discs. Is this also a problem with the ribbon cable? And if isn't what other things I could try?

Mine turns on only with the charger. 😢 No battery power, but battery is fine. Tested it. What could it be?

Worked for me try just disconnecting the big ribbon and reconnect and update with usb for me it worked perfectly

This steering wheel is a pile of shit and is completely unplayable on forza 5 despite changing the settings a million times.

amazing but that's exactly what I have too. I had no idea whether it is power charger socket cable, or buttons housing board, or mother board was problem...it turns out it is a same blown fuse like in this video. Btw if you don't have tool to test circuit, I just unbended and used a paper clip to make that bridge...after that boom and light went on. Now just gotta find solder and make this permanent bridge (put a solder dot over fuse) Kudos to my man for making this video guide

Man you really should try to replace that fuse with some type of fuse. With that fuse gone, next time, instead of the just the fuse blowing, it will fry a more important component, And lots of people are just bridging their fuses now because of this video. Im glad you made this video to show where to fuse is at instuff, but just bridging a fuse for more than just testing purposes is a very bad practice, that may come to bite you in the A$$ later down the line. Try to replace your fuses properly guys, these PSPs wont be around forever, and they will never be re-made. Try and take care of them.

My xbox 360 sync button doesn't work. And the touch button doesn't work. There is a click but it doesn't show the light cycle like what you would see when holding down the sync button on the controller

The braid gets stuck because you need more heat in that gun....its not heating up enough and melts the solder slightly and boom the braid is soldered to the solder.

everything worked until the longer update at the end (the actual update file) it just sent me straight back to safe mode :(

Hey when I plug it into the Xbox , the Xbox won’t turn on , no beep nothing . But I unplug the steering wheel and the Xbox works fine , as soon as I plug it in again , it instantly turns the Xbox off . I’ve read through the comments , so would i be right to assume most likely a fuse problem ?

Thanks for upload. Just installed new SSD to PS Pro. There are 2 files to download on PS site. At first I tried to install the "update" file when I needed to install the system "re-installation" file. Make sure you are using the correct download if you are fitting a new SSD otherwise you will get a message saying that the file isn't recognized, and a CE-347880 error code.

Just had some batteries that I had left in the guitar explode and the guitar would not power on.So it turns out the battery acid ate away at the red and black wires where they're fixed to the battery terminals. Cleaned,sanded a bit down and soldered them back on. All good now!👍Awesome vid and thanks!
