Greg, as a fellow Aussie who lived in Jomtien for 5 to 6 years which was a base during FIFO work from about 2011 it is an embarrassment to watch you riding around and supposedly try to inform people watching about Jomtien. Instead of just riding around on the motorbike why not pick a Bar, Restaurant, Accommodation or Massage place and get details of there services instead of guessing what they offer. It would be better if you review one place in Soi 5 for food, one bar in soi 7 and a massage in soi whitehouse as an example. If you need money to be able to review these places I will and I am sure others would help, its rubbish what you are putting out, I am sorry but it has to be said. Jomtien is a great place and has many highlights and can be shown in more light than what you are doing. You may have done this previously but the Aussie/Kiwi for instance my be grateful to you for showing the menu, sports TV and operating hours etc which will provide a service to anybody watching including helping owner with advertising, you may find you could get some kick backs for places you highlight. Mate take this as friendly advice not criticism.

Also if you are setting up a business, even a bar, you need the correct visa and a work permit. That costs money. And proper advice from a lawyer and accountant I hope you get enough money from the court case and super to enable you to set up the business properly. But be aware, its cost money. Do not call me a troll just because I say this.

Also, the reason people say you have to have been in Australia for 2 years before applying for the pension is because that probably meets the residence criteria for applying for the pension. So you need to be 2 years residence before the application for the pension, and 2 years after the grant of the pension for the portability provisions of the pension.. That equals 4 years.
