You should ignore the ignorants. These videos are mostly about Todd, but that OBVIOUSLY doesn't mean you care about or love or treat the other cats any less. You obviously do not.

Just because Todd is learning the English language does not mean he's the favorite. How he carries his jingle ball snarfed on one side of his mouth does. We love you too, Paulie!

This is usually such a friendly and loving comment section that I wasn't sure how to take that comment on the previous video. So I scrolled past. I know your kitties are loved, valued, and get attention. I also know that cats enjoy watching action, and if they really want your attention, they'll stick their noses in your face, literally! Ask me how I know 😹😹😹

I'm afraid my boys are going to ouch their shoulders the way they leap down from high places! Especially the orange boy, Ginger Ninja. Actually, I think I should change his name to Ginger Sumo Wrestler, if you know what I mean. He was s healthy 10lbs when I brought him inside after he had been hanging around on my windowsills (and spraying through the screens because he was an intact tom). He's FIV+ or I would have released him back to his happy free lifestyle. Now he's inside, never has to fight, and has more food than he needs, so he's chonked up quite a bit. I wouldn't over feed him intentionally, but my other boy was starving when he came in some months before Ginger. He should have been 14lbs but was only 10lbs. Different sized kitties. And after learning that there was always plenty and he didn't have to scarf his food, he became a natural grazer. Only problem is, now that Ginger is here, I have to work to make sure one gets enough and the other doesn't steal his food. I haven't been successful. I try, though. I worry about the extra weight on Ginger because of the FIV especially, but also because of the stress on his joints. He and Ombre were buddies on the streets and Ombre was lonely without him inside, so I want to keep Ginger alive and healthy as long as possible. P.S. editing to add that it took me a while to figure out that Ombre wanted Ginger to move in. Buttons might have helped!

I just clicked on a video with something in the title about animal intelligence. It's on the Jimmy Akin channel, and the video is a replay of his weekly guest appearance on Catholic Answers where he answers questions on just about any topic. Jimmy gave examples of animal intelligence, including how he's teaching his sister's dog Luna to make requests using talking buttons. It's interesting because he only has Luna when his sister goes out of town, so it's not like he's got much time to train her or interact with her on the buttons. He didn't go into it much too describe how he trained Luna, just that she's learned that when he's working in his office she can press the "Outside" button and he'll get up to open the door to let her out. But he says she's still learning, and doesn't understand that he's not able to go outside and play with her every time. He also talked about how you can see that she's working things out in her mind about how to get what she wants, and she tries different tactics. Tying this thought to what Todd does, I can definitely see how he works things out in order to communicate his wants and needs. He's very intelligent 🧠😺

I respect a lot of what Jackson Galaxy says and does for cats in his CZcams videos, but I don't agree with everything he says. For instance, there's a lot more to cats than just hunting, eating, and sleeping. I haven't watched his show and probably never will, because I think his videos are more authentic. That said, I don't understand how you could watch Billi negotiating about her medicine or Todd casually letting you know he's going to take a nap and suppose that all they're doing is asking for rewards. I think Jackson is wrong about this topic. I also don't agree with Jackson that cats are not fully domesticated. They are; their behavior is similar to wild cats' because their primary purpose has been vermin control. Their brains are smaller than their wild counterparts', and they have become social animals rather than solitary. They actively want our companionship, even if we give them more than they want sometimes and stress them out. Unless you're dealing with a bengal, savannah cat, or other wild or domestic-wild hybrid feline, the average housecat is fully domesticated. One animal that sometimes isn't considered fully domesticated is the ferret, and I'd be interested to see how they'd work with the buttons, if at all. Ferrets are smart, but I think to use the buttons effectively requires the animal to not only be somewhat intelligent and want to learn, but also to actively want to communicate. My cat doesn't have buttons (yet, I'd like to buy him some), but he is one of those cats that pays extra-close attention to what you say. He knows the meanings of many words already (honestly, probably more of them than I think he knows), which is why I think he'd be an excellent candidate for the buttons. If I ever get them, I'm not sure whether I'll put him on CZcams. Sure, it'd be cool to share, but I'd mostly be doing this for him, so he can communicate more effectively with me using words he might have already learned anyway. My reasoning is that since he's already actively tried to learn what I say (because I've never made an effort to teach him) and he's pretty smart and needs to keep his little cat brain occupied, this would be good for him.

So cute when Todd starts playing with the brush, as you try to brush him. To cats, everything is a potential toy! Nice to see Glamour and Paulie in on the action, and I'm sure you give them plenty of attention even though Todd is the feature because of him using the buttons to communicate.

Glamour is geriatric which comes with its own issues. Paulie and Todd haven’t always gotten along. But Todd has been making a real effort to be friendly to both of them. If Glamour and Paulie used the buttons it would be a lively conversation but unfortunately they both dont show interest in that, they are just happy to be part of the crowd. Thanks for showing us a slice of the kitties day. (PS its the Todd channel in case someone missed that 😹).

Todd is such a loving cat. I was always a dog person until I adopted my cat a couple of years ago. He too loves attention and is very smart. I now consider myself a cat person 😊

Ok so, Jackson Galaxy may know a lot about cats in general, however, he does not and likely will never know Todd! Especially since you’ve never treated the talking pad as a reward system. This just points to the fact that context and not jumping to conclusions is everything.

Paulie is mostly a mammas boy but also likes to keep to himself but he is never denied any pets if he wants to we all know that

Maybe that edited out piece is the answer to what Todd was saying. You brush pet Todd, you tell Pauli you love him while Glamour is changing her location. Maybe Todd thought you should make Glamour happy by acknowledging her too

I grew up with friendly feral cats, a lot of them! I communicated with words and actions they communicated by running to me and giving cuddles and snuggles and meaningful gestures. I wish we had word buttons.

Well it certainly is plain as day how those 3 floofs are "unloved & un-cared-for", the "abuse and neglect" are just SO obvious!! LMAO I saw that comment, and would like to think that person has only started to watch Todd, and does not know how seldom we even saw more t;hat a flash of Paulie on video a year ago. He chooses to be on the outside of most of the action; but I've noticed a lot more footage of him in 2024. And really, who could live with those 3 beautiful cats and not love them all?! Todd Talks, thank goodness or else none of US would have had the chance to meet all three. And as lovely as Paulie and Glamour are, (I love it when they include themselves in the video); I probably wouldn't tune in daily to watch Paulie run downstairs and Glamour in her basket, bitching as she does! 🐱🐱🐱

Those of us who watch you regularly KNOW what a loving, amazing pet parent you are. I would dare to say you go over and above many pet owners with your care and attention. We KNOW you shower affection and attention on all THREE of your fur babies. I have discovered a sad formula I call the "Ugly 6". In most social media posts, someone usually criticizes with a mean or angry comment by the 6th comment of any post. My " Ugly 6" rule is sadly and consistently more accurate that I would like. Just keep being you. Those folks will move on to complain on someone else's post.🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm sure all three cats are showered with attention, I'm just sorry people don't understand you can't include every minute of the day. But on the good side it shows how much your viewers have grown to care about you cats.

I apologize, Dad. I was one of the people that made comments, and I am sorry. At one point I had 5 cats, and I tried very hard to get them as much attention as possible. They usually worked out one on one time with me that the others respected, altho I slept with 3 on the recliner every night. Like you said, we only get a moment of your day, not a complete diary. I never meant to imply that you were ignoring him, altho I know it came off that way. Paulie just looked so forlorn in those moments! That being said, I love how Todd is including Glamour and Paulie in his conversations with you! His communication with you is as important to our understanding of animals just as Jane Goodall's work, and then, later, Koko the gorilla's was. Please accept my apologies and thank you again for sharing this very special fur man with us!

Glamour is the Queen of the Kingdom, she watches over and rules everything, gives orders. Todd is the Jester, the Star of the Show the one we all gather in the throne room to watch. Paulie is the Guard on the outskirts doing his job of keeping order. He gets his acknowledgments after the show is successful. (He's camera shy).
