Good stuff. Your short story in the first issue was fantastic. I think Savage Sword got off to a shaky start if im being honest but there was a definite improvement with issue 2 and as issue 3 has Gary Nord, i know it will be even better! Conan the barbarian is just about perfect as far as im concerned and from what ive seen, Battle of the black stone it's shaping up to be something special too. It's a great time for Howard fans at the minute! Hope you can keep it going Jim.

What’s interesting about this is how it explains that all the conflict has to be expressed externally, I guess otherwise there’s nothing for you to draw? But typically when men are in emotional turmoil, they express themselves externally by breaking stuff and taking action. When women are having an emotional crisis they tend to turn inwards and do things like drink alcohol, numb out on watching TV, get depressed, etc. It’s no wonder that women tend to find marvel comics insanely boring. They’re not relatable at all to women. 😆 Nobody says to themselves “hey maybe I didn’t do the right things in my life“ and then they beat up a bank robber. 😆 That’s the kind of crap that gives us people like Kyle Rittenhouse, walking around a site of civil unrest with a loaded weapon like he’s a superhero of some kind.

L-O-L when he said his "Mt Rushmore" of artists who inspired him I was like, "what does that mean?" Then when he named four white dudes I got it.

Yes. More of this please. Also just picked up you recent Conan book. It was awesome.

Just between me and you the stories you write aren't really from your own mind. You are a receiver of the these adventures by cosmic forces of the universe. Even the artists are controlled by these forces that bring comans adventures that are all true stories. To comic book format. You're all possessed, you just don't know it.

To be honest, this is a pretty nice cosplay of Votoms. Imagine someone on roller/inline skates with sparking flint, very convincing. Votoms universe in general, is everyone at any condition can be a disposable soldier, even down to the last ditch civilians. That's what I like about Votoms.

Hey, I just wanted to say Thank You. I've not looked forward to Wednesdays this much since the mid late 00s thanks to your take on Conan.

Are there any publishers that will accept a graphic novel manuscript without art work? Will any company pair the writer up with the appropriate artist or does the creator have to do that themselves?

I paused to read the write ups and they were delightful to read. With Batman: The Diagnosis, you can immediately see the contrast between Batman and Harley Quinn and how you used those character opposites to create some witty dialogue and a scenario to match. Yes, batman is totally destroyed on the inside and Harley is happy and always smiling. But Batman is as logical and calculating as Harley is crazy and that's how he was able to beat her in this game of deception. With Rick and Morty, I love the description of Rick and you totally captured his essence. Love it! Thank you for sharing this.

You don't really write any stories as the stories are all true. They are transported to your mind through archaic sorcerous means and you are convinced that you are making these stories up. I'm sure other comic books you write are of your own imagination but not the Conan stories.

I was kinda baked at a comicon once and had Mr.Zub do a custom cover for me. He was doing some kind of Rick and Morty thing at the time…..naturally I got a pickle rick. The reaction I get from people when I show it to them is hilarious. Not a lot of my people are into the scene, I get a lot of commentary like “so you met a famous artist and you paid him to draw you a murder pickle robot?” The looks my wife gets are worth every penny. Also check out his drawing vids they are great

Jim, if you write any SSOC stories, please respect the source material! Arcudi writing in Conan as being saved 4 times by ANYONE in one story is just wrong! Thats not Conan! Imagine REH or Jordan or Dixon or Roy writing Conan as a damsel in distress needing saved 4 times in his own book!

Good day Jim, I wish thank you and the entire team for reinvigorating my interest in the world of comics. More specifically Conan the Barbarian. I was introduced to the works of Robert E Howard at an early age when my cousin gave me a copy of Almuric. His character description and writing style sucked me right in!! After reading that book I made it my mission to find every Conan story I could find! Perhaps I will read additional stories of Easu Cairn in the future?

Cool video...loving the job you and both art teams going. No disrespect to as a writer, but Conan needs these intense, dedicated artists to work soo well. Now that the first arc is out there in issues and in paperback, I'd love to hear your thoughts and process on details you included in this story. Cheers, Sleepy.
