Gillen's Journey into Mystery is my favorite comic book series ever. Can't wait to read Die, Once & Future and Eternals
This channel deserves way more attention than it's getting! Maybe it's because comic books are a more niche artform, but as someone who's now working on my dream to write comics this series has been invaluable!
If you read the Broon's you'll see the primary source for Frank Quitely's art style - so different to so many US influenced artists, but so clearly influenced by the Broons...
between the beano and dandy, oor wullie and the broons, and even asterix and tintin, it feels basically impossible to grow up british and not encounter comics
I went through the Beano to 2000 AD pipeline in late 90s - early 2000s and dropped off as a teenager, there's a rich culture of comics here
OR, 1:17:18 someone goes "THIS IS THE WORK OF THE DEVIL!!!" Wow, MERPS! I had the same reaction as Kieron; utter confusion. And I HAD played D&D before. But it was still a good read.
Woow Amzing 😂
