Great video as usual. You did fail to mention there are two versions of the song. I prefer the original version where SlimKidTrey doesnt omit the N word in his verse, and Imani's cadence is completely different and better in his verse as well.

This album was my introduction to J Dilla. Once I heard “Fall In Love”, I was hooked.

That weather report bassline is 🔥 ... there were a couple of other Golden Era tracks that sampled this, but I am blanking.

Question, a computer on two AT 120's, is that a good idea? Especially with two Serato disk on them. And an Akai controller merriely finger drumming.

Overlooked in favour of Labcabincalifornia, this debut was great straight off the bat. Now, Mr DTG, how about those other Left Coast greats, the Freestyle Fellowship?

I need to listen to this album again. If I remember right, I felt like Passing me By was good, but most of the other songs on the album were better.

Gansta rap has been nothing but detrimental to the community. One of the reasons why hip hop is mostly trashy at the moment.
