Great video. Buy some boots lol
Very nice bench, gives me some thoughts about when i finally make my main down the road. Also the commentary and Sarcasm is so cold but so funny I had to SUBSCRIBE and look forward to watching more of your videos but only if you keep it up
Looks great. If you use a miter gauge on your table saw you mostly likely have to cut grooves in your bench top for it to slide. That’s a mistake I made.
Nice job. Very thoughtful. I like your narration and presentation. I think you will be a successful CZcamsr. Keep up the good work. You have one more subscriber.
❤ Good job
Looks awesome and sturdy for big jobs and snu snu( yes I watch Futurama 😂😂😂). 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Thanks! Yes sturdy enough for the large women, and the petite women!
Only feedback I would say having front facing power source
Agreed! In fact I'm already noticing that the power source just on the inside of the cabinet is pretty limiting. Already made plans to run another power cord to the front, more accessible area
This is a $2000 work bench. Easy!!
You think?? Honestly I have no idea how to gauge what people would pay for something like this, but 2k would be fantastic
Dude I love this table.
Like that Periphery tshirt, bruh
Hell yea! They the best
video wasn't too long. I like the 20-30 minute videos. The bench is beautiful!!! love that you "recycled" the flooring for the top. also like the contrasting colors.
Thanks! Alright good to know, trying to dial in the right length, level of detail people want to see. Appreciate the feedback!
Nice work 🇰🇪
Thanks Kelvin! Wow all the way from Kenya!
White dev Patel
That’s exactly right. My high school yearbook picture is straight out of slumdog millionaire
Good looking
Thanks Rachel!
laminate flooring for the covering the top......why didn't I think of that?!!? I literally have a box in my garage I could have used *facepalm*
Never too late! Haha. Thanks for watching!
Rabbit hole of YT workbench videos...ABSOLUTELY! I'm currently lost down that very same hole but your video is helping me (so far) crawl back out of that hole. I really appreciate the "list of must haves" and overall realistic approach to your design based on entirely on your honest assessment of what type of woodworking you actually do. Making forward progress out of that hole is much easier when you say to yourself, "Hey, this is what I do" and avoid getting caught up in, "Hey, someday I might want to do this thing."
Wow, this is a great comment, exactly what I was hoping to hear from the viewers where we are all facing the same challenges and trying to navigate this great hobby and recognizing that people progress at their own pace. Glad to hear that you got something from the watch. Thanks for watching!
Your bench looks killer and the floor boards are a great choice I like how your content is raw and honest. I’m looking forward to watching your journey just don’t burn yourself out and have fun it’s a great game we do I love it and I’ll sub your an easy watch cheers from Australia
Thanks for watching Bradley! I am a bit worried on burnout, trying to stay aware of it as best I can while still getting these videos done. Appreciate the positive feedback. Cheers buddy!

I'm here for hollow knight, let's see how the video plays out!
I’ll take it! Figured there would be some woodworkers out there who appreciate Hollow Knight
@@vanishingcabinets aye, hollow knight one of my favorite games! :D ayo I'm just finishing watching the video and my man, this behemoth makes the table saw look like it's suppose to go in a drawer! Well earned like and sub, keep pushing and you gonna break through! I would suggest, since you asked for it and everything, that you make smaller and quicker projects so you can churn em out a bit quicker. It's gonna be easier to grow like that and people get a lot more invested in smaller projects that they might actually make on their own which also makes people revisit the video. Well earned like and sub anyway!
You’ve done a great job on the bench. Like everyone else is saying, don’t care so much about other’s opinions when it comes to your work. The best thing about that top is that once you’ve decided to replace it in a few years, it’s s not like you’re destroying the entire thing. You’re just replacing that top.
Thanks Jason! Yep good point, not a full commit, should be able to use the body of the bench for a long time
That, ah shit, moment when every thing gets real quiet for a minute. That’s when genius kicks in, or the fuel and matches come out.
Haha yea for real. Sometimes my favorite moments though, get into problem solving mode and put out the fires, always good practice to fix mistakes as seamless as possible.
I love the work bench. My work bench is very similar, but nowhere near as fancy as yours. I may steal your bench top idea to use some leftover flooring to cover my MDF top. By the way, how does your dust collection work when you need to tilt your table saw ... I ran into the same problem. I just subscribed, I look forward to your future content! Keep up the hard work!!
Thanks Patrick! Yea I did have to extend the hose from the port to the reducer piece, but it’ll tilt to 45 now, although the actual performance isn’t as good as when it’s at 90. Just gotta deal with it at this point to maintain the tight fit
You are to hard on yourself You are a genius Loved the bench😍
Thanks Kimberly! Appreciate it.
Did you have plans for this?
I do not unfortunately, I will try and create some on future projects though in case people are interested
It’s beautiful. You just gain new subscriber. Can I ask what size is your workshop?. I mean what is length in meters and width in meters please. Thanks in advance and keep doing great job.
Thanks a lot Mike! Appreciate the kind words. It’s a three car garage, so I would estimate it is about 7x11 meters.
HOOH. Damn.
That’s beautiful,nice work
Looks beautiful!
I gotta say tho I don't work with that type of stuff I would make this as kitchen island cus it's just that beautiful.
Just recently found your channel and this is the first video I watched. Great job and LOVE the idea of using the flooring for your top. I recently did a kitchen reno and have some left over flooring as well and this is a great idea to use up the rest. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate you watching.
This is one of the best benches I've seen. Great job
Thanks so much! Appreciate it
Way more than just baseboards. If this is any indication of where you'll go with this channel, I can't wait to see what else is in store.
Haha, indeed. Thanks! very encouraging to hear
Beautiful workbench! I like what you did with the top, and am curious to know how it holds up. Yes, you really do like black, but that's not a bad thing. Keep up the good work, and keep those videos coming.
Thanks Paul, thats the plan! Appreciate you watcing
Nice one! I'm definitely going to steal some ides from this build.
Thanks! Yep thats what I'm hoping people will do!
don't worry fam u good lookin
This was the real feedback Ive been looking for
This video showed up on my screen and I thought I’d watch as I looking for ideas for a table like this for my Metabo table saw. A couple points for you. 1. This is a great build, but don’t apologize or care if people come down on you for making your shop enjoyable and beautiful to be in. I do the same in my 12’x20’ shed shop. 2. Don’t beat yourself up by being hard on yourself for making mistakes as you would not be a woodworker if you didn’t make mistakes because you sat back, realize what you did wrong and fix it and this is what a good worker does. 3. You asked what I would like in a table like this, and I want to make a sliding extension for cross cuts. And 4. Myself being a 40 year experience cabinet and furniture maker, I honestly like your work and thought process that went into this. I would like to learn sketchup so I can create designs on my laptop, but I am intimidated by learning a design program. Would you sell the sketchup file, so I can look at it and kind of dissect it to learn process. And lastly, I am now a new subscriber to your channel. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Oh, sorry , I forgot to also mention, that I love the fact that you use affordable tools as, while I do have some expensive tools, like the very same Festool extractor and sander, I also have Rey reasonably inexpensive tools like 2 Wen sanders(ordering 12” Wen disc sander soon, and Wen track saw which I would put up against your Makita any day. Sorry for the long post, but I am excited for your continued growth and what’s next
Thank you Steve for the thoughtful comments here. I do feel that I will grow in confidence as I get more experience, but really validating to hear positive feedback from an experienced woodworker like yourself. Man I would love to have a sliding extension, seems like a tough component though to actually build. As far as sketchup, honestly, I have also found that quite intimidating and yes it has taken some time to put together some basic designs. I'm using the free version so unfortunately I can't export anything at the moment, but I plan on putting more time into this as well to keep me organized in my builds in the future, and also keep the plans in case anybody is interesting in seeing the specs. Exactly as you notice, as far as tools I have a pretty big range of low, mid, and high end as I really tried to research where to spend more and where to get something more reasonably priced based on the types of projects I plan on using them for. Thanks again!
Great idea with the flooring, will consider for future projects. Your work is amazing and video making is great, easy to watch and very informative. Looking king forward to future vids. Keep up the great work.
Wow thank you so much Naomi for the kind words. Really encouraging and much appreciated!
Bench looks great. This is something I am looking to do. Can I have copy of plans?
Flattered James, but I don't really have any detailed plans, just a high level sketch I showed in the video. Think I will make plans in future projects though just in case anybody is interested.
Dude, this is b@da$$
Thanks Seth!
You’re not on your own in using laminate as a table topper. I have it on my fold down bench in my shed. Your bench looks spot on. A job well done, I have workbench envy……
Cool, glad to hear there are others using the laminate. Haha thanks a lot Richard, I hope to get a lot of use out of it.
I designed a similar bench. One mistake you and I made was blade guard removal lever is at left of the saw my hand wont fit. So any time I need to move the blade guard had to move the saw. 😢
Yep you are exactly right. I noticed way too late. Upon realizing though, I'm not sure if I would have changed anyway as I did want it as tight as possible. Guess I don't plan on moving the blade guard often at this point.
Holy crap, Batman. I applaud your use of flooring; however, methinks your construction is way too complex. It works, though, and I salute you for that. You have very specific needs, Just between you and me and the fencepost, this is akin to building a house from top to bottom rather than from bottom to top. It can be done, but it's a lot slower and requires too much extra effort.
Thanks, true, at this point I do spend a lot of time overthinking. Hopefully the more experience I get, I will get better at taking the bottoms up approach. Thanks for the feedback!
The Anakin reference was incredible 💀
One of the best monologues ever written
I probably watch 20 hours a week in woodworking videos and I have to say that I have never seen anyone use woodflooring in their workbench and I am seriously impressed sir. Great idea and it looks amazing. Keep up the great work sir. Looking forward to more videos from you in the future.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the kind words, encouraging to hear
I really like the idea of the flooring for the top. I’m looking forward to a future video of your thoughts on how well it works.
Thanks! Yea I’ll definitely give an update some time in the next year to see how it holds up
@20:23 Best pro tip ever!
Haha, if you know you know
Creative and meticulous workbench build. The top surface seems pretty clever. I’ve used 1/8” hardboard and it’s pretty cheap and replaceable. I look forward to an update to show the bench in use and any revisions or things you love about it.
Oh yea hardboard even more inexpensive I would think. Not a bad idea. Yep for sure, see what this thing looks like in 6 months, may have to tweak some things.
Nice job! I like the floorboards on top. Cheap, durable, flat and nice for the eyes. I like it !
Subbed 😊
Thanks a lot! Yep that was my thinking as well. Lets hope it works out
Is there enough room with the flex hose off the back of the saw for 45 bevel cuts?
Very astute! At first I couldn’t figure out what was hanging up the bevel. There is just barely enough room to swivel the blade to 45 though I just needed to add another couple inches of hose which compacts down when sitting at 0 degrees. Super tight though
You’ve built a very nice functional low cost bench. How are you not getting snipe on drawer fronts? I’m diggin’ the removable wheels, dust collection and the huge outfeed/assembly area not to mention the art work. Keep coloring outside the lines, best ideas are out there. Well done IMO. Only thing I cringed at was the cheap blast gate. Consider replacing it with a high quality metal gate that seals better.
Wow thanks for commenting Tom! Really encouraging. Hilarious about the blast gate, you are right on. That thing was a cheap pos, already looking to replace it. I think I got lucky not getting any snipe honestly, the passes were shallow though, maybe 1/32 at most and those extending supports on the planer did a pretty good job supporting them all the way through.
