@@ShawnSetGO You are absolutely right. Some of the problems in gacha is artificially engineered becuz, well, ya know, its a free gacha game. They are "features" rather problem. I know, it sucks. You get gated all over the places. Mihoyo is not very aggressive on things as far as I know but you can find similar problems in Genshin and Zenless Zero. I recommend you to try some of the other gachas so that you will understand. See if you like them. Also, dont get too attached to any gacha or specific game. gacha games or mobile games can go south any day even with some of those good ones. My strategy is playing several gacha games at once, and spend more time on the ones that I feel good to play while keep others on lowest maintaining mode (rush the daily and alt+F4). You keep their online KPI low, they will know their games are bad, so there may be changes.

@@wangruochuan I've been rotating wuwa and afk journey on idle while I push story on HSR and ZZZ and been pretty satisfied but yeah doing one gacha is detrimental to one's mental state lol

@@hyoomanmaol I said at the end that a valid argument is that "at the time it wasnt like this, these were introduced over time", but still my argument holds that if you want new players you shouldnt overwhelm them and should ease them into everything.

Especially when they already have some insane art and videos of their own.

@@ce551029 versatility in a unit, not a single application, in my opinion, makes a unit good. I also mentioned in the beginning that a pvp talent has been tacked onto these new heroes and it seems to be their only strong feature.

@@ShawnSetGO you mentioned Ulmus as a PvP unit. I was talking about him as a Pve unit. And personally I think you are asking something that the dev is not going to give you in the short term. These units with multifunction are like puzzle pieces. Think about your whole team as a whole puzzle and you need to fill the puzzle with different functions. Like a 25 total pieces of puzzle with dps, control, tank, heal and buff/ debuff, and each character may have 3 pieces of tank and 2 pieces of control, some may have 3 pieces of dps and 2 pieces of heal. Note that when faced with different situation, you may not always need 5 pieces for each. And having these characters with multifunction is like building a puzzle with your purpose in mind. And this encourages you to pull more characters. And the way you are talking about is building up a cookie cutter team fits all situations, which contradict to what the game designer wants you to do. So it won’t happen in the near future. And locking character function in the high tier is the same thing. Don’t think a character can function at one copy, they won’t because it’s just not how the character is designed for. My personal opinion, when talking about a character, there’s no pre ex or po ex, because they are all meant to be po ex. A gacha game, to be honest, are all catered to P2W. If you don’t have a character’s ex, don’t even bother to talk about them. It goes to both f2p and p2w. That’s why when invest in a character, if no plan to bring them to at least m+, no point.

@@Ryarat I actually agree with all your points enough but I do think you are making a different point for Talene than I am. For Ludovic, I agree, it's too soon, but I was just noticing a pattern as of recent that made me think to make the video.

@@franciscodelapaz7092 I wish I had your perspective, cause i havent played as long to see those releases as they came out. I do hope the charm system can begin to allow for more flexibility in time, but for now it just seems like buffs for already strong characters

@@ShawnSetGO indeed, it does not change the core system and usage but changes stuff like damage, reuse, amounts and some duration afoot skill points, and everything thing else is just durability and flexing how strong I already am kinda bonus.

@@mrasiun I would argue that odie is one of the exceptions that you dont need a mythic+ to be a decent character. Talking phraesto: I would say his kit more reflects a support because his kit has CC and buffs other characters, but having support features is in line with tanks still in my opinion. Lastly, my first point was the only difference in the two was that Ludovic, as well as these other characters recently, have a use in PvP, specifically ludovic with his stun and ability to move his healing and not being channeled.

@@ShawnSetGO phraesto dps in dreamrealm is insane, ludovic stun almost never triggers in pvp cos require that enemy units walk in the area, if he puts the area under the enemy that would not stun that why i say that he s S+ is very bad, i mean go to S+ is okay but M+ with +10 is better than S+ with only +5

Since when do Hoyo games add new quests daily? That's news to me. They only add new quests on an update, and only if there's a new map expansion, main quest, or character. WuWa has planety of quests to do when you're not doing the main story. There's 6 Exploration Quests and tons of side quests. Did you know that people are already UL 60? And people are even already Proxy 40 in ZZZ.

@@XenoWars just played both games, lvl 28 with nothing in the sched. but then tomorrow ONE new quest they teased a long while ago. the trains one (interactive map with really good reward. ) UL 29 finished every main story and companions. only quest left are the sides. both no energy. people reached that high since they played since launch.

@@caseyviajar2464 ZZZ's quests are not daily. They unlock through story progress, including that Rally Commission you mention. WuWa's quests are also not daily. Some of them require waiting til the next day after doing a part, but not actually brand new quests becoming available. UL 60 and Proxy 40 are not just "played since launch." If it was just that they'd only be around 50 and 30 like the rest of us. What they most likely do is be whales and spend the currency on energy refreshes. I am almost UL 48 and I am Proxy 28, played both since launch.

This is actually a valid point, I like having side quests and I feel like HSR has had some decent ones.

Which even that they shouldnt be worried about considering it's only 1.1. HSR and HI3 didn't have nearly as much content as they do now when they released. Expecting like 5 endgame modes on release is unrealistic. WuWa is fine with 2.5 right now (Tower of Adversity, Illusive Realm, and Holograms are the .5). Aside from those, WuWa does have plenty of content anyway, tons more than Genshin's release even.

You only need so many and they're pretty standard. You can map the keys except for I think one. You can even map them to the side buttons on your mouse. Map the utility key to one of the side buttons. You only need 1,2 and 3 and a few keys.

Definitely more of both, but definitely some waifus too. I think zzz also appeals to a younger fan base as well, but that's just an assumption of mine.

@@ShawnSetGO that’s the excuse, but we all know these games are not played by kids. Unless you somehow missed the swearing and cursing in the game, although censored. They know what they’re doing and they want to appeal to the people who spend exorbitant amounts of money on furry and loli related content.

zzz is mostly auto play, and wuthering wave is mostly manual and skill based, sorry that is the reality

imagine you need certain character to do certain things, but they changed suddenly. so no, your automatic opinion is invalid to most players who wish to become better at the game. but for casual gamer and non-hard-core gamers this game is more than ok.

i am not saying you are wrong in most aspect but i think you are too young to understand how a semi pro or full pro players play these types of games. get remarried and have some kids and get 60 years old then you will know.

for me i am not conviced , while there are some interesting and good mechanics, but the thing is that we shouldnt acept the thing as its especially when a system that hate people unless you pay for real

Device issue. I saw various amounts of WW gameplay on mobile and even defeating the hardest contents. So maybe just device issue, but with the constant optimization updates being pulled out, we can expect better performance. ZZZ on the other hand kind of solves this by banning the use of lower end devices lmao.

You can definitely play both, but I think it would be a bit shortsighted to say the TOP 5 gacha games in the market arent in competition. It's money, they all want the most of it, and they share from the same pie.

one major upgrade is when spending youre wave plates in zzz - u can chose how many u wanna spend instead of in WW u have to do the event again and again and again and again looool

Can I ask how Wuwa has better combat than ZZZ? I'm still torn between the two. The combat and difficulty is what is important to me because I'm a dmc type kind of gamer.

@@nhq4162 I see thank you for clarifying. I would like to try both to see for myself. Genshin combat is not really my style so hopefully Wuwa is better. As for ZZZ i'm expecting like a dmc/tekken style of fighting like juggling and combos which suit my style.

@@thisguywil6479 ZZZ has none of that. There are no combos. You literally mash one button. Players are finding some hidden mechanics in ZZZ but we need clarification if that's intentional or it's something that accidentally carried over from the previous implementation of their combat mechanics. To clarify you need to dodge sometimes but that's it. It's mash fest in it's purest form

​@@thisguywil6479​ Honestly ZZZ is a mash fest for people who want it to be, but for those who like to dive alittle deeper into the combat there are more options/tools available for each character, maybe Billy is the most "button masher" but he still has a fair amount of kit available to him. A load more than genshin in comparison (and I loved genshin). But there's no juggling like in dmc and no aerial combat (jumps ect). I don't have a mobile powerful enough to play Wuwa but if I could play both, I definitely would.

I can hear you, it's definitely a slower pace. I dont have the frame of reference you have, but that seems understandable.

Also, must be mentioned, while WuWa certainly ruined Genshin gameplay, ZZZ ruined WuWa's UI for me. Obviously, WuWa takes top billing for having the best of the most important parts (gameplay, overall aesthetic, mature tones and design), but ZZZ made the UI and menu design elements, font, etc. look years dated not a month older. I'm glad Kuro prioritized the important parts in their obviously crunched and pressured release, but I'd like to still see them touch up elements to keep up. It really does add to the experience to have that polish.

For sure, I'd say wuwa wins overall, but some things are achieved better by hoyoverse.

WuWa makes it frustrating to craft, having to teleport to the city to synthesize materials doesn’t seem like a big deal but when your trying to farm and determine how much materials you need it’s really annoying to go back and forth. And if I remember correctly ZZZ has an option to downgrade a material to get the lower level versions of it, I would love that feature for WuWa

@@user-rv3si3lx2g considering most responses requires a dissertation of explanations, let me put it in short: The difference in f2p and p2w should be speed of access, but that does not mean f2p can't have access as well (nor would that effect ranking). The mage build is the payer = skill doesnt matter if you're non meta can pay to be supreme+ and one shot. The mage build can also be the f2p because the casual argument should allow me to play simply and still complete content effectively, even though it lacks complexity. So what you have here is two meanings that can both exist simultaneously, you just chose to deliberately misunderstand me because you have the comprehension of a kindergartner.

@user-rv3si3lx2g no, because you made a lot of incorrect assumptions about how I played, misunderstood my comparison, and then assumed, with bad intent, that I somehow think challenges are something to gripe at in video games. I'll retract my comprehension statement, as that was not entirely fair, but you made a lot of sweeping assumptions that were categorically wrong.
