You could drive these happily with a set of SET's, pardon the whatever, and they would sound glorious or OTL's actually that would be incredible..My Alsyvox's I have Kondo amps driving them and the rest is not to be mentioned after the latest controversy..I'll be getting rid of said dac and transport asap!!

It is spelt "Cinnamon" as per the headline but not the accompanying comment from Ultimate Audio. Far more importantly, I had the opportunity to hear this DAC over three days in a very high-end system that I know very well. I have zero link to the Portuguese boutique manufacturer: Let me simply say that in my view (and I own Alsyvox speakers and have had the chance to hear six figure digital front ends over the last few years) this is the first DAC that has moved me as deeply as a top analogue front-end. And no - it's not colored - it captures the nuance, the body, the presence of real music. I urge music lovers to audition if they ever have the chance.

$20K DAC and $25K amp for $5000 speakers?

At 25K, the Gryphon Diablo 333 is a lot of amp to be using on speakers at the Mofi Sourcepoint 888's price point.

Any speakers should sound good in this system.

Dammit, I wanted to hear these so bad but now I can’t listen because the music is so bad. God, I hate this track. I seem to hear it on all the audiophile channels. Will Nobody play real music? you know, like a Brahms string quartet or something? Led Zeppelin?

Finally you got my absolute fav speaker brand in the world right now regardless of price. The new Reference Ultra is an exceptional speaker and overall my absolute fav that I would pick over any other speaker right now even those costing 1M etc etc.. Even the little Plural Evo will outperform most speakers in terms of overall coherence, naturalness, sound staging, dynamics and transparency. Should be a great combo with Halcro I suspect. You know why they always demo these system on such “empty” music? Because everything more complex sounds like shit regardless of the system, because the room is an echo room. 50% of the sound is the room. But audiophiles seem not to care about the sound but only about the system itself 🤷

This is top 3 best system we had at Ultimate audio.my opinion of course,Halcro amps are superb sounding.👍and match very well with boulder preamp and Tad Ref one speakers.
