Currently building my 'first' stitch and glue 997cm (almost 10 feet) flat-bottom skiff with wide stern and up-angled narrow dory bow here in Kumamoto, Japan. It will be powered with a 2HP Tohatsu outboard. May put a removable front mast for small sail rig in future. No plans, just using what I learned from watching Sam Devlin's Polliwog video, so inspiring!!! Using 1/2" plywood (not marine grade) but it's already very sturdy (with wood powder and epoxy welds) and looking great. Should be a tank once coated with epoxy and glass. The hull is very light and will have wheels that can be lowered for easy one-man boat launching from my truck bed. Have been working on it for one week and it has been a blast. I want to build another after this one. Sam's larger boats are beautiful and thank you for sharing this feature.

Silver Spray was the boat that unfortunately found the Destination. They found a coil of rope, an EPIRB, and a lifering which clearly said "FV Destination SeaTac" all of this pointed to that the boat went down and Destination was gone. Silver Spray had to go back to SeaTac and tell their families that they were gone.

A shame the governor ruined the finest ferry system in the world. July 2022 and they're still running at half schedule or less, it's nearly a useless ferry system now, unless your workday to be 15 hours with the ferry ride.

My brother locked the keys in the car. My mom was oh no how are we getting off the ferry. I’m let’s find a coat hands no break the window. I’m kicking in the window there is a schedule we need to move this car off the ferry.

Love Helly Hansen and Washington State Ferries! When I was the Operations Manager at Victoria Clipper in the late 1990s we wore fantastic jackets that kept us warm, dry, and looking good.

Very cool. Something many people don't understand is that people who work in natural resources/outdoor recreation often have greatest vested interest in the continued stewardship of the environment. Pure environmental preservationists don't have the depth of applied knowledge that conservationists use every day in both work and play. Good for Helly Hansen for partnering with a great company and producing gear for the working man and not solely for the elitist.
