in that clip of the interview it says that Steven Seagal worked with him and fought with him and that he thinks that Bruce Lee was also learning from Seagal, which if Seagal had his first kid in '75 then it'd be after Bruce Lee died during the making of Game of Death, which I don't recall any Bruce Lee movies with Steven Seagal, not saying there isn't, but not that I've seen so far. Bruce lee did how ever work with chuck Norris and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and was also a role model for Jackie Chan.

You can contend that Gene lied but Gene definitely told it on Rogan's podcast. Don't know why that one got pulled but I remember listening to it when it came out during the UStream days iirc. And many of Gene's guys have retold it. The Bruce Lee story is also as Gene told it to his students. You can say Gene lied, but you can't say Rogan made it up. Also, no offense, but none of the judo or JJ instructors were the level of Gene. Saying his first exposure to real or high level grappling was with Gene is a fair characterization.

It would have been SO much more in-character and more impressive for cliff booth if Bruce's character was written differently. Rather than beating Bruce Lee down a peg, why not portray Lee as respectful like in real life? They could have had a fair sparring match, ending in an actual draw with Bruce Lee shaking Cliff's hand as a symbol of "Hey, you're pretty badass for keeping up with my pace. Normally I'd have to slow down for my stuntmen." Boom, instant street cred for Cliff Booth, which aligns with what Tarantino wanted Brad Pitt's character to be anyways.

Honestly, I would believe Bruce Lees brother and sister over his estate. Linda nor his kids were actually there when he started. His estate may be more inclined to propagate a myth for financial gain. His blood siblings not as much.

I read in the Book of Bruce Lee by Linda Lee , about a fight that Bruce Lee had On Enter The Dragon , now it has been a long time since I read that book and it got destroyed in My Fathers Basement , where I had it stored during my Divorce Process , But I read there was one of those workers on that set , wanted to fight Bruce Lee , Linda mention in that section of that book , Bruce Lee generally would like to avoid fights , not because he was afraid , he just like avoiding them , And at one particular time , Bruce Lee was not feeling very well in other words Bruce Lee was sick and that person was not going to Leave Bruce Lee Alone , so that fight happen , and from what I remember reading , There was only One Punch from Bruce Lee , And it busted the Guy's Lip , and that Guy was laying on the Ground , And Bruce Lee was standing over the Guy asking him did he have enough , I guess that guy stayed down , and with Bruce Lee feeling sick , that person mostly said yes and stayed down , I Know I would have , I hope that I wouldn't been that dumb to begin with , now me at 66 , maybe I not remembering it correctly , or I mis read it , But if there is a person , that I could win a fight with one punch it would be Bruce Lee .

People just make up stories. I remember in my hometown someone started a rumor that they saw Bigfoot behind the Woolworths, there was a little wooded area back there and a dumpster. Folks camped out for weeks trying to get a picture of him. Even made our local news. Turns out it was nothing more than a wino wrapped in a brown shag carpet rug to stay warm.
