Available modules on the mobile writing app are currently: Characters, Cultures, Items, Locations, Manuscript, Magic, Maps, Philosophies, Religions, Species, Systems (No Flowchart) Timeline (Events only). You're welcome to use the modules however you prefer! So yes, you can use modules for ones that don't exist.

That's correct. They will not show up in the final manuscript!

We have a simple formatting tool available to everyone--including free users! When you are working on a project open the PUBLISH menu and select COMPILE MANUSCRIPT to use it. I'm personally hoping to improve it a bit more later this year as well, but I'm not sure when that will happen yet.

We actually just launched a new update that fixed a bunch of the issues people were having + improved performance. We appreciate your patience with the delay, but things should be much better now!

Hey there! Yes, each chapter does count as an individual element. However, the manuscript limit is by word count and not element count. So you can write up to 25,000 words for free in the manuscript, regardless of how many elements that takes for you!

We just launched an update which fixed a bunch of those issues + improved the app's performance! Give it a try and let us know what you think. :)

You can link to other elements within Campfire by pressing "@" and selecting the element you want to tag! You can also create text links by highlighting the section you want to turn into a hyperlink and selecting the *link* icon when it appears.

There's no way to predict this in the Calendar's tools, but if you can set an even you could have it reoccur with the event repeating options if say the eclipse happens every 100 years or what have you.

There is no "should look like" for any modules, really. People use the Timeline in different ways. Some create intricate histories of the setting, while others use them to plot out events in the story. If you'd like to see one used as a bit of both, this story published on Campfire has a pretty detailed timeline, though you may not have everything unlocked by default (some authors hide content like this until the reader has begun to complete chapters of the story): www.campfirewriting.com/explore/Rise/timeline

Pro is a retired version of the product so it's no longer available for purchase. The most up-to-date version of Campfire is Write, which is free to sign up for and available directly on our website!

@@campfirewriting Was a bit confused at first about why that'd be the case, but then I realized that not everyone uses AI-generated images the same way... When it comes to writing I can understand not wanting AI writing given it's generally garbage due to mistakes it makes and plot devoid of meaning and so on... AI images though in my opinion should be fine BUT I can definitely see where it would lead to copyright concerns since while some AI images are grabbing from a ton of different things (which I would think would make it so no one should own it) I realized there's also people who would just use Sylvanas Windrunner from World of Warcraft or something very specific and copyright infringing like that (it's also popular to use something like the style of Van Gogh which is very questionable in copyright infringement I think)... And yeah, in retrospect it's probably simplest to ban AI generated content altogether... At least for something that's going to be sold... Plus also it's your guidelines so obviously you don't really need a reason, I was just pondering the rationale behind it...

Yep, that's right! Once open applications are available, you'll just need to submit it from within the app, and pending review, it should go up shortly after.

It is not. We weren't able to provide everything we wanted to with Pro, so we've moved on to the modern version of Campfire at campfirewriting.com. You can, however, migrate all of your work from Campfire into that and pick up from where you left off on desktop or mobile!

Readers can find books on our website, campfirereading.com. A mobile app for iOS and Android (phones & tablets) is on the way early next year as well!

There's no way to automatically create that list, but you can locate them via the navigator card, or add notes as you said.

You can self-publish your work on CF, provided your story is approved (it's a quick and painless process, and if you're denied we'll tell you exactly why). We don't have any exclusivity deals either so-yes-you can publish with us and on anywhere else. Provided the other platforms also allow non-exclusive publishing. Not all of them do.

Okay - think if figured it out - I have to add headers, which in a story doesn't go well. That being said, I just switched some key words to 'headers' then formatted them back to how they were before, but still was able to keep the functionality. Thanks!

Self-Publishing on Campfire is currently more focused on prose, but you can add images to your manuscript, and we have lots of tools outside of it to add images via image panels. You can see the latter on this tutorial: czcams.com/video/IeUb18qtkRI/video.html

Are you perhaps looking for the Calendar settings in the Timeline Module? The Calendar is an element like a character or map-all you need to do to select it is click on the calendar from the left-hand sidebar list of your elements.

@@robgagnon Glad you worked out the relationships/canvas options! As to your other question, we can't have more than one timeline, however you can have multiple pages on it, and that does something very similar. We point those out at around 0:36 in the video. Hope that helps!
