Everyone loves a good hunting story. But a hunting film is even better. We aim to share high quality, educational, + entertaining content that illustrates the importance of hunting and conservation. Our focus is mainly public land western backcountry hunting and public/private land midwest hunting.

Part 2 of a backcountry spring bear hunt deep in the backcountry. After shooting a bear the previous day, Jeff and Brian packed the bear meat and hide up to the snow line to stash while Adam continued to hunt and self film. It didn't take long to turn up a bear and with limited days remaining, Adam decided to go after this bear. A solo mission that ended in success to wrap up the trip!

Great bull. I enjoy your hunts and content of your videos. I like how you put different bulls you see. I am trying to show young hunters how to id different bulls and use your videos to explain count size to them. We hunt high in BC and use mountain bikes to access. Not bad for a couple 56 year olds.

Yall said it would likely be a 3 day pack out. I’d love to know the distance and elevation yall have to travel as well as the gear weight. Just curious for comparison of what my friends and I do in Idaho. Also, have yall done a “gear dump” video? Love your videos! Great work!
Hey man thanks for the comment. It was approximately a 8-9 mile pack out and about 3000 ft in total elevation gain. I did a gear dump video a few years back but a lot of my stuff has changed since that time. I’m hoping to do another gear dump video soon but I’m not sure if it will be before elk season kicks off. I daho spring bears are not fit to eat..lot of times they eat winter killed elk...bears full of worms...fall bears on fruit are ok..

Headed out for an archery elk hunt late September 2024 in the Bitterroot. I’m from the midwest so wondering if insulated boots are must? I bought some non-insulated but thinking I should return them and go with insulated boots. Appreciate the the videos and was fired up to see your Dad get his bull. Thanks
Thanks for watching man. I wouldn’t worry too much about having insulated boots (even in late September). What boots did you buy? I just did a spring bear hunt with some snow and had 200 gram boots. I think it’s more important just to have a way to dry them out if they get wet.

Awesome buck! Great video, well edited and high quality. I appreciate your review of the shot placement, it tells me a lot about your desire to consistently grow as a hunter and show what actually happened on the hunt. It is definitely hard to be patient with a buck like that in the crosshairs, I would say even more so when you are cold and most likely a bit hungry. Thanks for the comment. I have always gone the last week of April or the first week of May. So that’s the only dates I have experience but we have always been in the bear during those dates. I’ll be going about that time again this year. Good luck when you give it a shot!
