Went to the CURRY MILE in Rusholme, South Manchester on Thursday 11th July 2024.
Dining out can be tricky when trying to stick to a Low Fat Low Carbohydrate eating programme. Some restaurants are better than others.
Had a wonderful experience at the ZIYA RESTAURANT and the staff were super friendly and I was able to order a LOW CARBOHYDRATE Chicken Curry.

This is a method that I use to create one of my favourite Chinese dishes Foo Yung. Chinese Restaurants have large woks and use high heat to cook their food. Unfortunately home cookers aren't able to do this. This is the way that I make Foo Yung which I have modified to suit my taste. LOL ..... Well spotted....I added the SALT AND PEPPER when I was frying the Onions. Unfortunately it wasn't videoed, I thought it was, but it wasn't..... If you give this a try, add when cooking the onions. As I note3d in the video, I should have fried the boiled ribs first, then added the Onions. That way the onions remain more 'Al Dente'. I am confused ! You say eat low fat but you eat skin of the animal, I would never ever eat that & saying to eat the yolk of the egg that is fat also. Every time I watch your videos you talk about bread & biscuits which I would only eat once or twice a year. As strict as I eat on low carb I am always hungry & don’t eat sugar or carbs unless it comes from vegetables. I guess I’ll try fasting because I am hungry all the time anyway. I am just to the point where I just can’t win. Sorry for rambling but thanks for the video 😊
I'm sorry that you feel confused. I'll reply to each comment you made separately. EATING CHICKEN SKIN. They are the small skinl offcuts from the chicken Thighs laud out on a baking tray, placed in the oven whilst the CHICKEN THIGHS are Roasted They are tiny but crispy. All the fat has drained out of them. I eat them cold with added salt. Less than 1oz total weight. LOW FAT doesn't mean NO FAT! Regarding BUSCUITS, which is my downfall, I am a Carbohydrate Addict. I've struggled all my life. I can resist Bread, Pasta, Rice, Potatoes etc my downfall is biscuits. Well done 👏 ✔️ you for not eating them. I am 5 years in on my LOCALOFA journey having lost 9 stone in 12 months. I have realised that keeping my weight down and sticking to eating inly ONE MEAL A DAY is based on my own daily decision and overcoming temptations. Sometimes, I fail and fall, but I always get up. If you are hungry all the time, try drinking. Sometimes, we can feel hungry when we are thirsty. You don't mention which vegetables you are eating. They need to be LOW CARBOHYDRATE VEGETABLES, which is the topic we will be discussing next week.

When I started out on my change of diet/lifestyle you were a tremendous amount of encouragement to me .That's about a year and a half ago so I am basically now doing Keto/HfLc/Carnivore and still allow some treats at birthday parties and holiday celebrations. That's very kind of you. So glad that I've been able to inspire you. Keto, with the HIGH FAT content was never intended as a weight loss diet. It emerged in the 1920's to treat children who had Epilepsy. The high fat content would have been included as source for the Liver to produce Ketones. If a person is carrying a lot of Fat on their body, reducing the Fat on the plate and keeping Carbohydrates below 20 gms a day causes the Ketones to be created from the BODY FAT thus resulting in weight loss. If you are happy with your results that's great. Adding FAT to your plate is a great way to maintain weigh, as it stalls weight loss. Thanks again for your kind comment. 😊 Best wishes

Tandoori mix grill is my go to. Also saag paneer (spinach and cheese) and mutter paneer (Peas, cheese, onions) for a wet side dish as otherwise the meat can get a bit overwhelming.

Really interesting video. My Dr said he has no issue with keto or things like the fast 800. Also worth noting many who treat keto as eat as much as they like will often go high fat and also very high protein. So the fat becomes needless ketones but high protein will also eventually be changed into carbohydrate in the body. It's a very poor conversion but does happen and will knock those doing it out of keto on and off too. So a double whammy.
I'm finally making great strides and the weight is coming off. Got COVID at the moment so it's slowed me down but so glad I had started looking after myself.

It's definitely more economical to make your own ghee. Also, knowing how to make ghee with just a stick of butter is very helpful when visiting a relatives house or just general traveling when lard and tallow are not available.
