Phantastic drummer!
Great song!
Barbara and Jon, thank you for the music. You were magnificent!
Absurdely wonderful! Great !
I heard Jon when Colloseum II visited the very small town of Boras in Sweden, dont remember the year, probaly late 70-ies, - i was the drummer of our band and was impressed by the awesome solo he made! - we played jazz-rock as many youngsters did back then, and not the terrible rap-crap they do today! :D greetings, Levi
Arbiter Autotune drums at the beginning! I went out and bought a set of these after I heard Jon Hiseman - strangely, I didn't sound quite like him, though...
This is so awesome 👌 👏 👍🏾
Parkinson's is a b*stard disease - it does so much more damage than just the obvious shaking. It ripped my Dad apart. And what a torture for a musician. Jon Hiseman was my first drum hero, and criminally underappreciatrd in his own country. I saw the band a few times, and spoke to him, and he was a good guy. Sad story.
Barbara and John Hiseman great singers, and Colosseum a fantastic band.
Barbara and Jon were two of ny alĺ time favourite musiciansand I was lucky to them live in many of their varied bands including in the orchestra for the first week of Cats the mysical. I have both biographies which are well worth reading RIP both and your legacy lives on.
Lovely balance and textures !
Beide waren große Musiker. Ich habe sie mehrfach zusammen und jeweils ohne den Partner auf Bühnen erleben dürfen. Jetzt gibt es Colosseum und Paraphernalia nicht mehr. SEHR; SEHR SCHADE!
I fi
Sadly, I only discovered Jon's talent after reading about him in a Modern Drummer issue after his death. Since then, I've been discovering his great music. He is in the pantheon of drummers associated with prog rock and jazz fusion.
I saw her around ‘79 at Nottingham Playhouse. They were quite a decent jazz rock band.
What kind of drums are these..??
Arbiter Autotune
It was my dream since 16 years old to see him perform live, hoping he would play in some jazz festival here in south america. I stealed (and still do) so many of his great chops that i can't even keep count. Praise to that great musician, he shall live forever in gems he left us to listen.
What a wonderful talented couple...................
two of the best
I was fortunate enough to have been part of the Big Sky choir that worked with Barbara on Journey to Destination Unknown, I truly lovely lady.
So sad. I am in tears watching this. I didn't even know she was ill. As a saxophonist I met her many years ago when I was the principal saxophonist with the Band Of The Scots Guards and we met in London. I will never forget how encouraging and lovely she was. I will never forget her wonderful music either. I also feel anger that this insidious disease could take such a wonderful human being and such a wonderful musician and rob us of so much. RIP Barbara.xxxxxx
allways in my heart ❤️
RIP JON I CAN'T FORGET YOUR CONCERT IN DUSSELDORF IN MAY 1969...WITH COLOSSEUM-- AUGUST I WENT TO WOODSTOCK..BUT YOUR DRUM STILL INSIDE ME...CIAO FROM ITALIY JON
RIP JON I REMEMBER YOU FOR ALL MY LIFE...HERE MILANO ..ITALY..AND I SAW YOU IN ITALY AND AROUND THE WORLD..WITH COLOSSEUM AND QUARTETT...YOU STILL ARE THE BEST DRUMMER IN THIS WORLD ..
Barbara was a wonderful musician. I loved her music
what an awesome docu - I used to listen a lot to Jon and Barbara's music in my 20ies, lateron lost track for lack of time. I'm glad that I can find such videos on YT, even though it gives me some sadness to have to find out who has died in the meantime. Thx for sharing :)
splendid
John Hiseman ,the bet drummer ever. /Freddie the Swede.
i found out about this dynamic duo from the closing theme song of TV show A Touch of Frost-se1 ep1.
Rest in Peace, Sister!
I didn't realise that Barbara had left us. I saw Jon with Coliseum in 1971 and Barbara and Jon in a jazz club in the early 90's. Great evenings that I will always remember. RIP Jon and Barbara.
This is Excellent music
When Dick, later Jon, and at last Barbara came to heavens door, the angel at the door applauded and said: "well done..." 😇
Sad he shuns his work with Gary, John and Done.😢…

I just saw your mum on 24 in the ER here in Holland and my dad played saxophone either therefor I thought I look at CZcams and I found her.... What a sound... And what a pitty to read that she has past away..... But the show must go on as you said and there is still the music... Take care...
I've just tuned in for the same reason. Truly an honour to hear part of her story from the show, and to watch her perform live.
Heartbroken to hear Barbara died recently. Am working my way through this moving film. RIP Barbara and Jon.
