12a full bridge turbo Dino pull
It made 289hp but as you can see the Dino was cutting off mid pull and I think it was closer to 450 500hp but it is still undetermined engine is low on compression, so winter maintenance to rebuild engine

Hi mate , i see you have blocked off your distributor/Cas how have you configured your direct ignition are you running a triger wheel for the timing? Are you still using the 12a front cover and lastly, Is it going directly from ECU to coils ? Looking at the fueltech 450 what are your thouts. Thanks
Yes trigger wheel 12a front cover yes It Is Fuel Tech four-cylinder A&B harness Coils are controlled by ecu 450 is great depends on how many inputs an output you want the 550 has more outputs and inputs

I’m trying to add a turbo and fuel management to a 12A. Any suggestions on what to buy and where since it seem you have tired some stuff
I’ve tried the holley stuff, and I’ve kind of veered away from it when using turbo can’t control timing, the last couple engines I pulled apart and they’ve had scoring due to either not enough fuel, or the timing being too much and have predation so I’ve tried Fuel Tech and I am liking it Better There’s a lot more features to adjust but well worth the investment the hardest part was finding the intake manifold and turbo manifold to fit with the turbo I am using

Hey man. Was the Holley giving you problems with the turbo? Saw you having AFR/MAP issues and then you yeeted it, just curious. Got some silly plans I'm the future
Just need timing control I was slowly trying to figure AFR/MAP but it wasn’t working for me with the turbo that engine still works But I had another engine that I wanted to test out before I go 20b
@@custombuildrx7242 yeah I was curious if you just used the MSD for ignition and had timing set on the dizzy to a constant. Or what ya did there.
@@dianasnyder9202 Msd for ignition and My timing was locked out at 25 and 7.50 psi of boost I did look inside engine and one of the rotors faces was dented from pre detonation which tells me that it needs timing retard
Just curious did you blow up the previous engine? Reason I ask is in your previous video I see it had a different engine in it.
The last motor is still working properly pulled it out to try a different engine setup And different engine management systems

You've got a MAP sensor fluctuation going on that may screw you up.
@@custombuildrx7242 wherever the MAP is at, the signal is very "dirty" and not consistent. So that block setup I would say isn't properly done.

What size of holley
Hey question about your holley sniper turbo 12a car. I was wondering what port you had on the 12a sounds great. exited to see more people building first gens. My favorite rx7.
it is a large street port from a friend engine the port is flat on top to make it like a scissor for a fast close racing beat street port for the exhaust ported up to have more over lap

How hard was it to find the pro jay 12a intake?
I've never seen or worked on a rotary engine. So they really look quite small, yet they produce power far above and beyond that produced by a common V8 or v6? I'm guessing that each plate that has a rotating piston or whatever they are called is considered a 3-cylinder engine. In any case it is an interesting study topic.

do you have a write up or list of things you had to do for a build like this? I want to do exactly this, a blow thru turbo setup on 12A, but it can be hard to find info on getting things right.
What porting are you running? I have that same turbo on my 13b half bridge.
An interesting approach to do a P-port with a 4 barrel carb. Typically a Weber works real well for this

It a metal intake with rubbing hoses to seal it up Works great i might try a longer runner on my next one

Hard to find good information on turboing the 12A. This looks like a pretty clean and replicable setup if you get it to work. Thanks for putting this project out there for all of us.
