No of the techniques in comments worked for me (i didn’t open it so can’t say for this technique). The thing is i didn’t use this flash since 3 years… but the battery had only 3 charges it was almost new. Do you think it’s dead ? Because i received a « used refurbished » one from Amazon and this one doesn’t work either…

This worked for me. I had the red power LED on and some of my green charge % indicator LEDs on. When I re-plugged the power brick, it looked as if it the brick was getting power and then running out of juice, maybe due to the battery being at such low state of charge that it was drawing so much current that it was depleting the power in the brick itself. I let it do its thing for a little bit, then re-plugged it, and now it's operating as normally and the monolight turns on again! THANK YOU!!!

Would you mind taking a photo of the reset button? I can't seem to find it. My battery is only showing a red light too. I have only used this flash about a half dozen times and didn't realize I should be storing it with a charged battery. Thanks so much!

Excellent tips! Love the swipe right for fast switching between film sims. Been trying to figure out a quick move for that for a while. Took a few rewinds of the video, but got there in the end 👍, so easy to forget how to navigate that menu, cheers from Neil in Bristol uk

For me this did not work. What did work was putting the battery on the strobe itself and then press the start button and the resetbutton (next to the lights on the battery) at the same time.

Hello. Good video but how do you get white balance with studio flashes? You need to take a photo and then get white balance.

It didn't work for me. I opened the battery, it had only 3V left. I gave it a jump start with a small 12V powersupply for a few seconds. 8.5V pack voltage now. Then I got a constant green light on the charger, after a few minutes it startet charging.

Great tips! I have one for you! If you press and hold the display/back button it jumps right to the custom button settings. Also, the OVF does work with the level activated and I keep that on swipe down. Great content. Love the tips on back button focus. The VI is everything the V was and more.

Unless I missed it, what do the "Extended Menu Banks" do and how do you program them? Apparently they are associated with the main Menu Banks, but I'm not sure how them work as there is only a "Yes"/"No" option.

Can I make menu bank A for photo settings and then B for 4k24 then C for 4k60 then D for 4k120? I want to shoot aperture priority in bank A but manual video in BCD.. can’t figure it out

Tom, while you demonstrated several ways to "measure" the WB, once acquired, you did not reveal how to find what value was given (other than importing the file into LR/PS). Is there a way to know what degree K the camera is using once you performed this operation? Also, when you say "then you can go ahead and take the shot", I assume once your WB is set, you can take the rest of the shots using that PRE value in the similar light and circumstance, not a shot of the grey card. Yes?

I recently submerged my Cannon T6i along with the Tamron 600mm telephoto lens. I vacuumed camera and lens out then exposed it to gentle heat for 4 days. The lens came back to life and I will try the camera today. Any further tips?

I've custom film setting on the Function 1 tab, my 7 film simulations recipies on function 2 tab. This means you can easily select and scroll through both the films and your personal custom recipes efficently. I tried your swipe right to go b&w but you end up stuck there - so you end up visiting the Quick menue to escape. Its super nice to see how various people do things. Each to their own. what is the Point of Back Button Focusing compared to ShutterButton Focus? I can hold the Shutterbutton, holding the Focus and recompose the Frame. What am I missing? EDIT: tried the setting, and as a "from above" shooter, its absolutely unuseable to have it set that way - my hand can't do the twist 😂 not using the VF anymore, my left eye got worse over 15 yrs of taking Photos...so I hope sb can explain what I'm missing here, it just can't be only because of the Reframing, and that's what eb on YT is saying when they talk about BBF. No hate here if sb feels triggered, my way of commenting is just very unsympathetic😅

FINALLY! That OVF problem was driving me crazy!! You can use touch to activate the horizontal level and still use the OVF but not when the vertical level is active. Same with the histogram. The small normal histogram activated still allows you to use the OVF but not when the RGB histogram is on. Crazy.

the viewfinder do not work even if you enable the 3d level. My blood ran cold when I saw that it didn't work after just one day of use and then I realized. But it's actually something that isn't mentioned in the manual.
