    Great video. Super high quality video and audio. Need to learn now to add all the little pop ups you have throughout the video. Your ending, referencing all the different media formats you are located on is super cool! Nice Job, as always.

      Thanks Jeff! I can help you with those pop-ups, not too hard to do. Video was shot with my GoPro. Audio was straight from the GoPro as well. I was pleasantly surprised with the audio quality. I had only intended to shoot some b-roll while paddling, but ended up doing this video as well. Had a great time photographing some Egrets and a flock of White Ibis. Next time I need to bring my 400 f/2.8...although it might sink my canoe....lol

    Handy video. Loving my X-T5 but am thinking I could do with just a bit more grip depth so that my three fingers are slowly straining to hold the camera on long walks.

      Thanks! Yeah, it's a comfortable grip and adds a bit more security when holding.

    happy to see a review on this L bracket for the xt-5 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 was looking at it on ebay and i was wondering about the grip feel / material etc… love smallrig gear too! - too bad they didn’t/couldn’t find a way to tuck that key away better as in other L-plates they have made
    thanks for sharing your thoughts👍🏼

      Thanks for watching! Amazingly enough I still have that little key attached! It has fallen off several times but I always manage to find it….🤞🏻

    Hey there great video.
    One question: What kind of head are you using in the video?
    Thanks.

      Thanks! It’s a RRS BH-30 ballhead. It’s about 15-20 years old so logo may look a bit different than current models. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the video! Can the side of the bracket (where you showed that it’s extendable) be removed completely if I just need to use the hand grip at times?

      Yes you can! Thanks for watching!

    Hi mate, I carelessly purchased a combo len 18-55 + XT5. I figure out I need 16-80 and one more len like 70-300. Should I keep 18-55 or replace it to 16-80. Hope you could answer me soon

    • @TomReplogle
      @TomReplogle  Před rokem +1

      Hey Alex, thanks for the question. I bought the 18-55 with my X-E1 around 2013 and it served me well for many years. I recently sold the lens and purchased the 16-80 for more range and couldn’t be happier. It's a good all-purpose lens in the 24-120 full frame focal length.
      I use my fuji kit for travel and backpacking when I don't have room for larger equipment. The 16-80 + 70-300 is a perfect pair to fit this application.
      Having said all that, since I don't know the types of photos you want to shoot with the lens, it's hard to say if the 16-80 is a good recommendation. If I were needing a lens strictly for portraits or low light work, then I'd get the 16-55 ƒ/2.8.
      I hope all this helps and thanks for watching!

    It might make you feel even better about your purchase to know that the grip handle is actually made out of wood. 🙂

      Wow! That’s great! When I ordered it there wasn’t much info about it. Thanks for the intel and thanks for watching!

      Mine is definitely not wood. It's a rubber like material that somewhat grippy better than wood, imo

      @@stevengower7396 does your rubbery grip plate have the ‘L’ aspect part of the bracket?? i saw one like you describe but none with the ‘L’ feature piece - i was wondering how both grips felt as to slip or no slip per extended hand piece

    • @stevengower7396
      @stevengower7396 Před rokem

      @andreak4280 I guess mine is not technically an L bracket but a grip and base only. It doesn't have the arm on the left side for Arca tripod mounting in portrait. I'm good with that as the L has to be moved to access ports on the left side. I can tilt my tripod. I like the larger grip and Arca base mount.
