HELP! How Do I Get Out of a Real Estate Contract?

    yeah. Now I see why in Canada you can’t build any structure within a given distance of the property line. Imagine building a swimming pool that is so close to your property line that you couldn’t tell that it went two inches over!?! that means that the builder of that pool had to go through a great deal of trouble to also really disrupt the neighbours property in order to put her pool in. Even though she thought she was on her own property with the final product. Some people are just entitled and evil.

    Good video. A few things. If the deed doesn't contain everything that you agreed to, you can try to get a confirmatory deed from the grantor. Talk to your closing attorney, and if this was a mistake on their part, you should be able to get the deed written and recorded for free. Check your deed, not only for missing parcels, but missing calls. I noticed on mine that it totally missed one of the lines, and even though it's a rectangular parcel, the deed only had three of the lines written. Again, it was a simple fix with a confirmatory deed. Depending on where you live, deeds may not be at the county courthouse, but in the town hall in the Recorder of Deeds office. Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island are three states I know of where this is done. And in Vermont, at least, we have many small towns where nothing is online, and business hours can be intermittent.

    That’s crazy. True story: my ex girlfriend owns a professional cleaning company and one of her most common jobs is cleaning new-construction homes. She charges THOUSANDS of dollars to clean them. It’s not even funny. She has deals with several builders in her market and employs dozens of people to do this work. They would sometimes blitz-clean three or four houses in a weekend and cash in!
