A pyramid in New Zealand? or just a pile of very even blocks of stone. If it is a man made structure, we know it is at least 1800 years old. In 186 AD the Taupo eruption covered a vast area in volcanic ash and pumice....including this mound of stone.

White folks love making videos about how standing stones (not even carved in this case) are somehow evidence of European settlement. czcams.com/video/cjvjLji5VQ4/video.htmlsi=0nQFN4NqyHiQMK7S note the Rapanui Easter Island Elder in this video speaking the same language as the Maori documentor (each in their own lands dialects but the same language. More importantly note the Easter Island Elder explaining that the Ancestors of Maori are the same as the Ancestors of Rapanui. When the same people went to Rapanui Easter Island they built and transported mega stone. When these same peoples sailed to Aotearoa they carved in the abundant material wood. When the same peoples went to the Chatham Islands they carved in wood and stone. CZcams is full of videos by people looking for evidence that undermines indigenous explorers the world over. Martin Doutre and Noel Hilliam are not qualified archeologists , their theories are highly speculative and selective , and not taken particularly seriously by actual academics in the relevant historical forensic and archeological fields. More often than not they tend to misrepresent fringe theories and unverified anecdotes as established historical facts and have generated an overall ahistorical narrative that has somehow come to be believed by a surprising number of people. Frankly there are holes in the narrative big enough to drive a truck through , and it was already inconsistent. And when you are falling back on literal Fairy creatures and mythical 9 foot giants to support your theories , it astounds me that people actually buy into this tripe🙄

@@johndevere1846 👍Absolutely. 🧐To start with, it’s not true that ONLY Maori have an issue here. Most academics ,many of them Pakeha, consider these ahistorical Fringe theories with little evidentiary or scholarly merit. Even academics cited by Doutre and Hilliam (egHoldaway and Moon) say their work is being misrepresented. 🧐Also , it’s no secret that the primary drivers of these theories, like Doutre and Hilliam, bear a distinct resentment towards the Maori status as the indigenous people of NZ. Their desperate efforts to divest and deny that status and attempt to supplant it with a Eurocentric one of their own is rather transparent and spiteful , so it hardly surprising that same resentment would be reciprocated. 🧐Then there’s the astonishing eagerness to buy into a blatantly ahistorical conspiracy theory and declare it as established fact, with no actual conclusive evidence to support it. Indeed it has such obvious gaps in logic and more often goes against all ACTUAL evidence. They’re actually citing 9 foot giants and literal fairies for goodness sake , and people are still eating this obvious BS up? That’s irrational. 🤔And I’m just going to say it , Doutre , Hilliam and their associates are of utterly dubious character. They have no standing in the academic fields they lay claim to , their “scholarship” is awful, often involving unverified anecdotes, misrepresentation and , when all else fails, blatant imagination. They make the banal into the fantastical and are happy to cherry pick what suits their narrative. I honestly wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them. 🧐I can go into the specifics if you want to go down that rabbit hole, but here’s a link that covers most of it. www.thefreelibrary.com/Maxwell+C.+Hill%2c+To+the+Ends+of+the+Earth%3a+did+the+Greeks...-a0322026988

There are many things about the history of this planet we don't necessarily know the full story of. However posing the idea that they were from Ireland by simply pointing to some rock features or symbols is not enough. A quick search shows that there are Polynesian symbols which give a very good match to the ones in the video here and spirals are very common. You kind of answered your own question as to why the government is suppressing this info, at 5:45 you say the real tangata whenua of NZ are these forgotten cultures. That would mean Maori can't claim to be Native & the whole tourist industry of NZ is gone, which would have huge economic impacts. Plus there seems to be a global suppression of ancient cultures & info about where humans come from & what happened to us in the past. To quote George Orwell “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” Follow the money.

even if there was evidence of pre-maori peoples (there isn't), maori would still be recognised as tangata whenua. so no, it would have no impact, and no, there is no conspiracy to hide evidence of early visitors to nz.

Even the Maori oral history says there were people in NZ when they got there (watch the doco) There are lots of examples of European culture in NZ but they're ignored, destroyed or kept secret.
