Great video Dana. Should you land left at the end of the backswing or when the club stops moving on the backswing then slam down & left?
Changing irons. Titleist t 200 lost distance. Got fitted ; down to Wilson Dynapower forged irons or Mizuno 223. Lessons by you in person would help. Any ideas on the 2 clubs. Hit 6 irons Srixon zx5 mark ii, Titleist t 200 again, cobra. And another. Obviously, not a game changer
Have you looked at Mike Adam's approach of identifying biomechanics and post location?
at 9:30 you say feel like you keep left tilt throughout? Why?
why don't show coach motion?
My anatomy and range of motion don't allow my hands to get behind my shoulder, under any circumstance. I have since stopped taking lessons because I'm not able to do what's asked of me by instructors.
Great but what about its arc depth . One inch of drop can equal 4 inches behind the ball
Yup. Super cool to watch and learn from.
more vids plz!
Thanks that’s a very thoughtful assessment!
struggling with losing my angle in the backswing and head / spine lifting :(
The title should say only for Athletes, haha, the golf world is in 2 directions right now, if your an Athlete and can play golf, Know ones better than Dana, if you suck and been slicing every drive into another fairway for 20 years learn from coaches who concentrate on more arm and wrist level speed, forget about body rotation being the motor for your swing, and I'm not being a dick, I'm being honest, if you've been playing golf more than a couple years and can't control the club head learn that first, please! I believe Dana's golf mind is absolutely brilliant, but it will only work if you're a pure Athlete,, period.oh a quick edit, Brock is a pure Athlete, unbelievably pure.If i had that form i couldn't care less where the ball went, its just a thing of beauty!!
Ouch... you're not gonna play on the pga. You dont have the skill
Amazing 👏
Well done, Dana. Player arrives with the look of a swing of 30 hdcp and leaves with the look of a swing of a 10 hdcp. That student is so athletic to change that quickly as well. Hats off to you both.🎉
I like the first swing better. In my opinion she is a little stuck with the right elbow at P5 with not as much room. It wasn’t broken she shouldn’t have touched it.
@ddahlquist - I'd love to hear your thoughts on the mechanism behind Cameron Champs shallowing mechanism because his is absolutely different from any other's I've seen. So interesting and unique!
Dana is “the” best. I’ve gotta figure out how to get some lessons from him 👍
Hi Dana, Iv been working on this myself but sometimes I feel like my weight gets to the outside of my right foot instead of the inside on my backswing. Is this wrong and if so what would be the fix. Thanks Joe
@10:56 @16:25 You are sharing Pure Gold Dana! Thank you!
Chipping with the scaps 🔥
I think I may have finally submitted to Cookies, takeaway move. He really turned his torso almost as if his belly button pointed away from the target. Allowing great body turn. I shot a 75 exaggerating this move

Dana can Steve's before here and lack of seperation mean less right side bend on the downswing
I just passing by to tell you that you are amazing! I got to know you thanks to Jerome (S2) and just watching your lessons my swing has improved. Still a work in progress. Started like 14 months ago I’ve gotten lessons with 3 different coaches but none of them helped me as you have.
BEST VIDEO INHAVE SEEN YET ON THE SWING! Thank u !!
“If you want to play over here you have to launch…..” ?
Need to get my son in for a lesson⛳️⛳️⛳️
What video does Dana talk about Rory pressuring the club at the top then ‘turning it down’ into impact??
Thanks, very interesting lesson. Eric has great tempo, what a swing!
Was this part of a longer video? I'm a big fan of DJ's action and it's hard to get real metrics on him. well.. beside the usual youtubers blindly talking about his wrist flexion in isolation of the rest..
Since this will make the ball go too low, how do you begin to work release into the swing after a basic lesson on lateral pressure like this?
I like the high hands finish.
Excellent as always. Thank you for sharing. FormerTourPlayer, PGAofAmerica,PGASweden. PeterCarsbo
Hi Dana, I’m a HitBombs subscriber and a longtime fan of your teachings. I notice you advised him to let his right arm relax and bend. You always hear the axiom not to let the right arm bend past 90 degrees at the top. In your opinion is an overly bent right arm okay for most people or more acceptable than a straighter right arm that’s too far behind you?
Dana, would you want these thoughts/feels working their way into the longer clubs (including driver)? Or is this wedge specific?
Dana, as always great instruction. But I cannot for the life of me get right side crunch on the backswing.
You are not supposed to get right crunch in the backswing, the student in the video needed to try to get right crunch in order to get the correct amount of left side crunch. Remember, feel is not real. If you have the same problems as the student in this video, allow yourself to exaggerate as much as you can and record your swing to see how much change you can achieve.
Yes correct. If the trail hip loads properly the left bend will happen as part of the turn. Steve was just left tilting and ripping his arms across the chest. There will always be a left bend in the backswing. Some players can over do it
More torso rotation, hand path, and so much easier to stay under/on plane coming down and through. #Money
Steve is looking solid
Can you explain the anti pattern to the pelvis move at 14 mins you go through Dana? Is it hip staying in Flexion and not be able to turn torso?
Why did he need more forward bend Dana?
He is over extending in the backswing. This would encourage most speed and potentially are lever issues on the downswing.
Hi Dana, In terms of lead shoulder rotation, is the feeling for the lead shoulder to stay internal p1 to p4?
Yes and right arm extended so hand path does not get too inside
Would this hip bump at setup be similar to the "reverse k"?
For him this is needed as a feel. Yes.
Wow how good does it look at the end! Your the best Dana can’t wait till I can get back down to so cal
Super fun player to watch and love the analysis, very understandable and usable insights!
Wow, finally golf instruction with emphasis on wrists and impact!
"promosm" 😆
Just devouring these vids, i swing very similar to Dana's teaching so great to have these vids to watch, learn and refine the movements
Do you do analyze subscribers / fans swings?
