Hi Guys, so I have my Force 1.0 and I have a Gigbar ILS. I have the DMX profile loaded and basically working but can I ask did you make any special changes for this setup. For example DMX fixture group numbers and the Channel group assignments. Thanks in advance, I know you guys are probably super busy right now.
Hi David. Absolutely. A lot comes down to personal taste so what is "correct" in our minds may not be the right decision for you, all subjective! In this video we used two GigBAR Move fixtures so I'll provide feedback based on the GigBAR ILS. The first thing I would personally do is to make sure the Laser and the Strobe of the GigBAR ILS aren't active during slower subtle slower moving effects. This is done in the DMX Universe editor page of the App. For the "FLASH" (strobe) sub fixture you would set the "Strobe or Blinder Fixture" column to "YES". For the Laser sub fixture you would set the "Active During Mood" column to "No". In addition, I would likely also disable the Derby's during the slower subtle moving effects as well. Derby's aren't Strobe or Blinder fixtures but if you set the "Strobe or Blinder Fixture" column to "Yes" for these, then the Force 1.0 will turn them off during those subtle slow moving effects, whether your in Mood mode specifically or the Force 1.0 transitions to it automatically. If you do all of the above, then your GigBAR ILS will be configured as close as possible to how we configured the GigBAR Move fixtures in this video. Hope that helps!
@@A.I.Lightshow Hi Guys, thank you very much for your reply, appreciated.
Is there a mode to play all fixtures in one color as well?
Yes, you can use the “Color Overrides” function to do this (new addition). You can pick a single color or a combination of up to 10…this includes settings for gobo wheels, prisms, color wheels, and other attributes of fixtures that go beyond just simple Red, Green, Blue, Amber, White, UV color settings.
Hello there, so I have an AI lightshow, but when I press Attribute Banks/ scenes: nothing happens, so do I have to connect it to internet or computer, please I would like some clarification
It sounds like you don’t have a DMX Universe currently loaded on your unit. Without a Universe loaded, there’s no lighting fixture information so the ability to create Attribute Banks or Scenes is not possible. You need to start with the Force1 App in order to create your DMX Universe(s). Once created, you can transfer/save them to the unit and then you’ll be able to access the Attribute Banks | Scenes.
@@A.I.Lightshow Thank you for the prompt answer, I will work on it thanks.
Shut up and take my money 💰
Is there a way to save your edited universes from the force 1.0 back to your PC with all the attribute banks saved? Also it would be really great to add a feature to fixture profiles where you can specify channel ranges for color wheels then match those ranges to a list of colors that the force can use to identify and sync to the rest of the lights.
A future App update will allow for all Attribute settings to be made directly within the App with real-time feedback from your lights. We certainly considered what you are describing but opted against it due to the amount of inconsistencies we’ve come across with “identical” fixtures (majority being the inexpensive unbranded reproductions) having different color wheel arrangements, gobos, etc. Many people are buying these unbranded fixtures and we’d like to offer a universal fixture profile library without having to resort to numerous revisions due to those inconsistencies. We are certainly still considering this option. However, you can use the Attribute Banks to dial in specific colors across your rig and use the Color Theme Overrides to select those at any time. Good comments/questions!
Edit: figured it out! ha! didnt know you can just unzip new version and it would recognize existing user profiles and universes already made. then can just delete old version folder or replace it with new version didnt know where else to comment but trying to find anywhere instruction on upgrading the force1 app to v1.1 without losing user profiles and universes i've made on v1.0. is there a way? i click the update force 1 application software version in the tools drop down menu but it just says to download new version and instructions from the website. thanks in advance
Hey Derrick. All you have to do is download v1.1 and run it. You don’t have to install or download anything else when just upgrading the App from v1.0 to v1.1. You don’t have to download any database files or anything else. We are working on a better set of instructions to clear this up. Your personal database will not be impacted.
@@A.I.Lightshow thanks for the comment! 😎😎😎 appreciate it! I ended up doing it right before i saw your comment. Ha i just didnt know if it would lose any of the user profiles and stuff.
@OmegaDerrick You’re a brave man 😂! Glad you figured it out!
@@A.I.Lightshow haha!! Ive been told that before 😂 Cheers! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Is there a way I can hop on a phone call with you? I recently received my unit and am trying to program it with some LaNuatz Lights and some unbranded moving heads. I can compensate for time.

@@A.I.Lightshow Just emailed! Looking forward to chatting!
Unusable for techno when it refuses to settle into a 32 bar groove. Thing changes its mind every 4 bars. The scenes within those moments are pretty cool though. I’d like to select a color palette for my night, can I tell it to NEVER stray from red and yellow? These two features would make me buy
Yes, you can set any color combo you’d like and force it to just use those indefinitely. The effects engine was designed to be as creative as possible in both the effects generation and its decision making process. We may design in an option to allow users to select the frequency it is allowed to transition if there’s enough requests. Here’s an example of how it performs unconstrained as it is now: Force 1.0 Office Demo (Fully Automated) czcams.com/video/MWJBHoy2Lrc/video.html
is it intended that the Brightness Knob doesnt affect a overrided group fixture? also, what happens when u override a group of moving heads and assign a bank to it? are the moving heads still gonna moving around(with static color) according to the internal engine or are they just gonna stay in one position n static color? would be good if we could just change color to the moving heads only and have it still operate and have movement accordingly to whatever mood u have selected.
Hey Derrick. Solid questions as always… Yes, the intension was to guarantee that any Attribute Bank that is called would operate exactly as it was created, regardless of the global control knob settings. If there’s enough requests to have Global Brightness control applied for this as well we will certainly consider doing so! There’s some options for moving heads. If you override a fixture group containing moving heads, they will move to whatever position you defined for that attribute bank and will generate whatever color, gobo, focus setting, etc., that was defined. An intended use case example would be if you wanted to focus a spotlight on a drummer or guitarist for a solo while keeping all other lights in your rig responding to the audio feed. Now, if you apply one or more Color Overrides instead, then all lights in your rig will only utilize those colors and other attributes defined in those chosen banks. However, your moving heads will still react as normal in this case. I will certainly take note of your request to provide the ability for your moving heads to still react in movement when a fixture group override is applied. We can work that into a future upgrade. Thanks for that feedback…great idea!
@@A.I.Lightshow thanks for the thorough explanation and examples! Appreciate that! 😎 makes complete sense now. Yeah in my head this is how i was thinking it, what if we could assign via override group fixtures for example, a purple color to Washes(fixture group 1), then all moving heads(fixture group 2) a yellow color that has already been defined through the attribute banks. Then all washes would only use purple and moving heads would only use yellow, while on any of the 3 mood modes still generating patterns according to the music. That was my thought process when i first saw the fixture group overrides. Change each group to a specific color and still have the internal ai engine generate patterns. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 you all rock!
I recently got new lights and dj kit after being out of the game for 15 years. looked at dmx controllers etc and found this online. an amazing piece of kit. its magic in a box. I do chairty gigs mostly so I know ill never afford it unless a find a used unit up for grabs. amazing though and cool to see. keep up the great work
Great to hear you’re back in the saddle Lenny! Appreciate the kind words! Hope your Charity events continue to go well…very respectable!
This is incredible tech! How does it work for a live band? Could you set the front lighting to a different mode than the back? I am also assuming you can tell it what type of show, slow or fast song. Thank you for your response
Many bands and musicians have grabbed one of these. Yes, if you want a consistent light output for the stage you can assign those particular fixtures to a dedicated fixture group and enable Wash mode. There’s three primary operating modes: Max, Normal, Mood with Max being the most aggressive and Mood being very subtle. You also have global speed control if you’d like to dial things up or down in any of the modes. The device was designed specifically for DJ’s but it’s finding a home with many bands for particular use cases.
What is that center light bar?
That’s an unbranded bar light, from some Chinese supplier. All others are from American DJ, Chauvet DJ, Eliminator Lighting, ProstLighting, or Rockville.
Which download is best suited for Apple M3 Pro?
Give the M1/M2 download a go. Well look into any compatibility issues with M3. Side note: I just saw your other comment about a Restore vs Update and was trying to reply but you may have figured it out. Just in case… The first time you install the App you’ll need to also download the database file located on the same website page as the App. That requires a Database Restore process. This essentially sets you up with all necessary database functions. All library updates from that point onward require a Database Update. The library update files are available separately on the website as well. Yes, we certainly acknowledge that this is a little confusing and we plan to modify the instructions shortly. Hopefully that helps. Feel free to ask more questions or email us separately for direct support
@@A.I.Lightshow Will post any issues with the M3 here. Yes, you're right, I figured it out LOL. Thank you so much for posting that clarification though. Hopefully someone else can use it.❤
Excellent, thank you!…on all accounts!
Please do a demo with rock/metal music. Considering pulling the trigger on this for my venue but I NEED to see it work with something other than dance music
That’s certainly on our to-do list! Once we get some breathing room we will certainly fulfill this request and check it off the list. Thanks for the request!
Nice visual upgrade from the previous version. Definitely notice the new patterns and behaviors
Thanks Harry! Have you had a chance to upgrade your unit and give it a spin? We're definitely all highly interested in hearing your thoughts after you've had a chance to work with it.
@@A.I.Lightshow Not yet! Will probably update it next in a weekend or two and give it a run through!

Nice!
Thanks!
Having both intel and M1/2 is a massive sign of the teams ingenuity!
Thank you Isaiah!
Loving the speed and detail of these videos, but I and I’m sure many others would appreciate if someone did a slower, ground up tutorial starting with manually loading in a small universe consisting of 6 different lighting units, setting up safe zones, esc. A solid, 20-30 min video, that is at a much more receivable pace for those who may or may not be knowledgeable on dmx programming.
Excellent suggestion, thank you. We will certainly work this into our near term plans as it would be a great resource as you pointed out. Appreciate the feedback!
What if some are upside down or on another location, can I adjust them later individually?
Absolutely…here’s an example of adjusting them independently: Force 1.0 Moving Head Pan/Tilt Range Tuning (Independently) - Tutorial czcams.com/video/Mz3b9nh1GGo/video.html
Is there any recommendation, based on the type of music to be played? How do we know what's more adequate for a more rythmic or more fluid light show?
The biggest way to influence the dynamics of the light show is to use the MAX, NORMAL, and MOOD buttons. The audio conditioning blocks provide different approaches at conditioning the audio signal. As long as you’re able to generate triggers correlating to the rhythm of the music then the box will handle the rest. A lot is handled behind the scenes but the triggers create an immediate reaction, so you want to ensure those are occurring to the beat of the music. Whichever audio condition block gets you there is the right answer 👍
Has anyone tried using this with lasers?
We’ll have future upgrades dedicated more to enhancing laser performance but the unit can certainly control them now: A.I. Lightshow Force 1.0 - Fully automated laser control, no programming. czcams.com/video/pH1-8BL748o/video.html
When will this be available? The website has been on hold for awhile now
Website will go live late tonight, with some areas held off until orders open. Orders will open up for reservation list folks Tuesday @ 10am EST. Orders will open for everyone Friday & 10am EST.
Can we import our existing database profiles in the app?? Would be great to not have to start from scratch re-adding our profiles we have made so far.
Hi Derrick. Unfortunately, due to the significant upgrades and addition of information added to the profiles, since the beta release stage, all profiles and DMX Universes will need to be recreated with the new App. This is a one-time thing, all future upgrades down the road will be backward compatible with fixture profiles. The FW upgrade to the Force 1.0 is also required for this. We are working through rebuilding all profiles requested by early product adopters now. We will also have a fixture profile request form on the website for making requests. If convenient, you can continue using the Force 1.0 in its beta form and request all of your profiles to be added to the library. Once available you can make the jump. We will be sending an email out to all early product adopters shortly with information related to this.
@@A.I.Lightshow sweet deal! Figured that would be the case regarding all the major updates which is fine and dandy. Thanks for the information😎 looking forward to it. It actually works out as i’m building a new pc.ha!
Can you make a video like this for the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR please? I understand that your time is valuable and I assure you, this will be a one-time request.
No worries with the request, you’re more than welcome to ask and we will certainly do our best to accommodate! I can certainly ensure that we have a profile for this fixture added to the master database. You could then access the contents and see how it was setup, in addition to using it of course. Would that be adequate?
If i have a Soundswitch dongle connected to a separate laptop, and I have pre-programed autoloops that I want to run at a specific time, will the method described in the video work for my scenario?
Absolutely, that’s a type of situation which this function was intended for. Just run the DMX OUT from your Soundswitch dongle to the DMX IN port of the Force 1.0. Then just follow the video instructions. (The new FW on the Force 1.0 will indicate the shift function assignments on the screen so you won’t need to memorize anything like the video alludes to)

Any new updates on the release on the force 1light controller?
Final stretch! Still on track for end of this month.
hi. when can I buy this?
Very soon! Sales will be available through our website by the end of the month.
Does it do the lightshow in realtime or do i have to upload the music to the device first? And is there an mode, where i have to do absolutly nothing? It it plug and play? Like the maestro dmx for example
The light show is generated in realtime. It takes in a balanced line-level audio input via XLR or 1/4”. All you have to do is setup your DMX Universe via our App and save it to the box. After that you don’t need any external equipment (no MIDI, phone, tablet, PC, MAC, etc). Controls are all built into the unit. It can be fully autonomous or manipulated/controlled with the controls available on the unit itself. Hope that helps.
Is there a list I can opt into to be notified when the next controllers are ready for purchase? I NEED this in my life!!
Our reservation list is currently frozen until we open sales later this month. Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook to be notified when units are available.
How do we get on a mailing list so that we can be notified as soon as the new units are ready?
Our waiting list is currently locked pending sales opening up end of this month (still on track). The best thing to do now is to keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram, and CZcams accounts for an announcement.
How do I order?
We’re still on pace to open up orders at the end of this month. Keep an eye out for an update on our social media channels and/or when our website goes live.
Great updates!! Now the only thing this little bad boy would do good with is it got some basic manual movement controls for moving heads 😁
Thanks Derrick! Noted!! 👍
@@A.I.Lightshowif not possible, maybe we can use a second controller solely for manual control plugged into the Force 1. But then again doing that force 1 seizes operation in that mode right?? N becomes a dmx pass through for the other controller?
@OmegaDerrick You’re correct regarding the DMX pass through functionality. What kind of manual movement control are you looking for? Are you looking to call up specific positions you’d want the moving heads to point to at certain times, ability to manually control the dynamic movement of those fixtures, or something else?
@@A.I.Lightshow right on, yes ability to manually control the dynamic movement of those fixtures. Since force 1 can already recall specific points to point at by setting it up to do so. Im talking more actual manual control, lets for instance you want to “follow” someone with a spot or multiply spots while, you have a static color scene going on. I can prob achieve this with a second controller plugged into the pass through, just that the work flow would be a bit of hassle. U’d have to setup color scene first on the force 1, then switch it to pass through, then begin controlling moving spots manually with other controller. But then you lose ability to change color scenes if need to through force 1. You’d have to switch back to force 1. Then switch back to the other control for moving the heads. Hope that makes sense. I do a bunch of mix martial arts events where most the time we have spots follow a fighter as they come in to the ring. The workflow is just a hassle to do so. That was just one example, which can apply to weddings or any other scenario. I use the force 1 mainly for live bands. Lighting up just a lead singer n “follow” as he moves around is something that came to mind if it had just basic manual movement control. Thanks again for a awesome product! Been loving it ever since i got it, it has been a very profitable asset.
@OmegaDerrick Crystal clear! We have this documented and will address it for a future upcoming upgrade. Great idea and appreciate the insight and feedback as always!!
what addresses you put on the gig bar?
I don’t remember to be honest. I know we had the GigBar in 35 channel mode. If I was setting this up today I’d likely just assign the first one to Address 001 and the second to Address 036. It really makes no difference so long as the controller knows what they are addressed to and the addressing guarantees that no channels from one fixture are overlapping into another fixture’s channels within the same DMX Universe.
Can anyone give me the tutorials from the scratch about this? I m gonna pay him or her. I have been getting issues with addresses with light fixtures
Are you looking for Force 1.0 specific tutorials or help regarding DMX in general?
