Best Guitar Picks - Top 10 Best Guitar Picks Of All Time
As a 6-string bassist, and having tried hundreds of picks, my top 4 are: 1) Dunlop tortex 1.0mm (including triangle pick) 2) Nylon Jim Dunlop 0.80 (Yellow) or 0.94mm (green). Generally to play chords or have a little more brightness and clarity in the notes 3) Dunlop sharp 1.14mm or the Dunlop jazz III Ultex (for fast and precise playing) 4) Jim Dunlop Stubby Jazz III 2.0 (this pick is smaller than the Ultex or Nylon one, but it gives you more speed and precision, the downside is that it slips a lot, I do not recommend the Dunlop Stubby Jazz "1.0" because its tip wears out quickly).
I've been using the screamer for a few years now but I really cannot agree that it sticks to your fingers. I always have issues with it slipping
I'm using 1.20mm Alice pick. It's fine but i need a thicker and tight grip pick.
Wow man this is such an awesome guitar cover right here I love it. Shred on dude.😃👍❤🔥⚡🎶🎸

Thanks so much man! Really appreciate it!
@@GuitarPickZoneYou’re very welcome. Much love.❤️
My 40 years of experience as a professional audio engineer/musician is that sometimes the high quality high price cables are overkill. One of my credos is that it’s only rich people who can afford to buy cheap stuff, because they can afford to buy another, if it fails. Of course I prefer to use the Mogami/Neutrik cables I carefully soldered myself, but… You have to consider the context. There are different aspect if you buy/make a 20 feet cable for a running-around-throwing-the-guitar-up-in-the-air-guitarist as opposed to a short patch cable that lies in a “permanent” position, only affected by the vibrations during transport. I’ve use a lot of low budget molded-end cables on keyboard rigs, mixers, pedal boards and even on no-board set ups, without a hitch. And I’ve had (store bought) high-end cables fail during gigs. So it’s not that clear cut. And it’s also important to realise that electrical cables/wires are designed to withstand pulling and twisting forces. And it takes a lot more material to withstand pulling and twisting forces than it does to pass electrical current. The stiff "installation" cables used for solder-less connections are a special case. The gist being to avoid twisting and/or bending it "excessively". If a cable comes from reasonably serious cable manufacturer it will carry your signal just fine. The critical points are the connections between the cables and the plugs. I won’t go into the finer points of the capacitance/inductance…, “breaking in” debate. My main point is that if it passes audio and it sounds good, it is good. And if you make a set-and-forget installation on a pedalboard, you will, most likely, get by just fine using even the cheapest cable from a reputable dealer. But shit happens, sometimes twice😉
Not so much for back pain but how about for shoulder pain???
The Fender custom shop 1.0 mm. Banjo picks are my favorith for Electric guitar, but very hard to find, can you help me please........? ❤
It’s a pity engineers won’t repair the smaller d class heads! Proper pain… all I want is a switch replacing 😂 this is why I might buy an older big beast as a back up, or tbf, could just get another class d as a back up. My terror bass hasn’t failed me in over ten years… just the impedance switch broke off
I love V-picks Jalapeño for recording but use a Taylor Thermex for practicing as they last a long time. Lately I discovered the Taylex/Radex which promises to be the Holy Grail of guitar picks; bright clarity of V-picks and durability of Thermex.
I guess I am an oddball, but I swap out picks depending on what style I'm playing on what instrument (6 string bass, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer). My favorites strummers are the LePik, .60 through .88. Great grip, narrow point for less drag, though not for digging in, since they can crease, becoming useless. JD nylons thicker for strum digging in. Have a few 3mm clears for super dig ins or bass low B chop-digs. Shark fins on occasion. Mc Phersons for rarer occasions. Jazz red when the 3mm is too heavy but heavier tight is needed. Not a fan of slick-picks standards or tortexs.
How about picking your nose?
The TC Electronics 250 is rubbish. I just grabbed one, and the internal speaker is only pushing 70 watts. You need to hook to external speakers to get even close to 250. Talk about false advertising. It's much quieter than my Peavey Max 150 with just the internal speaker.
I’d like to see lightweight 2x10 combo amps compared, in the 250 W RMS and above group.
They look sick that’s 90% of battle I got the vox
Hi. MXR 3PDCPR06 Ribbon Patch Cable...are they good quality and quiet?
Hetfield's White Fang 1.14 all the way ❤
New at this, does this works also with guitar?
Palheta da hora
the tortex are actually closer to $0.40 per pick. even cheaper if you buy them in bulk (72 pack)
I was hoping to hear them 😮
The CFG strap wears out in less than a year with part time use
POP filterrrr
Ed King used small sea shells!!
No Claytons? Fergeddit. :-)
After trying many and liking none I have discovered the Black Mountain and finally have a thumb pick that I can use. It looks as though the Bumblebee is worth a try too. Thank you.
Mogami patch cables can be made for a fraction of the price provided you know how and have the equipment to solder. *Markerteck* Mogami W2524 - $1.05 per foot Neutrik NP2RX-B Mono Right Angle 1/4 Inch Plug with Gold Contacts - $5.99 ea
I might give this a go, thanks for the details! Any tips?
Within the first eleven seconds of this video, a familiar voice announced, "Hello, my name is Justin". Really? "Justin" is an overused AI voice. Nice try, "Justin". A video of a synthetic voice and worthless adjectives. There are no demonstrations to back up the empty adjectives. This video is just one big advertisement for the retail company.
Dunlop big stubby is my personal choice, shame its not on the list
I love the part where he reviewed it.
88 mm please
I want an expensive pick but i know i would loose it first time out
Back in the 80s thats all anyone used was fender picks i dont even remember any other picks being for sale until the early 90s
Where’s the big stubby ????
My bullet cable shorted within a few months of use, played only at home, high quality? go figure…
Fantastic video, thanks !
Is that Brian from Goanimate? :O
I got a Fender curly Q cord and it is REALLY tightly coiled. It doesn't stretch without deliberately trying to stretch it. If it doesnt pop out, it will pull/knock over a practice amp.
While they have gotten a little better….COMPUTER GENERATED VOICE SUCKS!!!! Get a real human!!!
I don't like the Bumblebee, it moves when you don't want it to, best to always have a solid one.
I love the looks of them.
Right now all of my cables are Monster Cable my father got them for my brother & I to use & advertise when we started out. My dad's retired & doesn't have the ability to get them I assume if they even make them anymore? Once they're connected nothing moves that doesn't have too.
Bought these picks today. Love them.
thanks for sharing, bro! great info
I quit half way through. The background music is very irritating.
What a load of shit. Jimmy Page did not ever use the Dunlop nylon picks, he famously used Herco picks.
Played 100s of picks. Hated them all. Only like finger picking. Then I brought home a stock/bulk guitar center pick that they give you free at the counter, and damn whatever Chinese bulk plastic manufacturer that is, is ON POINT lol.
How many m.m . thickness is the guitar pick?
1.5mm
Nice TOPick😊
