I think they are great. Considering most titles came from a pre-HD CZcams era. Some of these DVDs are the better quality than what’s on CZcams. I rip them and make video mixes.

Never a fan of the concept. As id play cd then forget about dvd. Madonna is interesting as you could have all 3 options available as the combo or separately. The sean Lennon album is very good IMO gr8 vid as always WA 😊
@@JasonJames72 I liked the idea. But sometimes the dvd only had a short documentary on the making of the album and some music videos. I’m not a big dvd guy so I always forgot about the extra disc.
Didn’t really think it was a good marketing idea. Why can’t you just sell both separately, as originally intended?

I just bought "Alf" & "Raindancing" by Alison Moyet [Yazoo] on CD, another two for my 80s collection. Great video, always enjoy them.

I also love Everything But The Girl. My favorite album by them is Baby The Stars Shine Bright. Amazing album. Don't Let The Teardrops Rust Your Shining Heart makes me cry everytime i listen to this song. Tracey Thorn really have a nice voice. I do enjoy Walking Wounded and Temperamental. Which i think are underrated albums. The Language Of Life and Amplified Heart are my least favorite album by them. But most of their albums are good. Their music is simple. But effective. They also have talent in writting good lyrics.
I actually recently picked up Amplified Heart. Just the disc and no cover art. It wasn’t a very interesting album aside from the main single ‘Missing’. Welcome to the channel, and Thankyou for commenting. 🙂
Hi 👋 I never liked Huey Lewis & the News. Irritating they were. Sade is cool. I have seen Cheap Trick in concert back in 1979. They played extremely loud I remember. I see you have the group War in the background. One of my favorite Funk / Soul bands of the 1970s. I like the songs Low Rider from 1975 , and Summer from 1976 also Cisco Kid from 1973.
@@user-ix4wn1th5m I only like a small handful of song from Huey Lewis and the news. This album wasn’t great and was forgettable. I also loved the song Low Rider by War. That’s a compilation which I’ll show in a future video. Thankyou for watching 🙂

Nice lot. That madonna compilation has just been reissued on vinyl as a 4Lp set. I have first edition on vinyl still sealed and is worth 4k 😮 great vid. 👍

Oh well. Thirty years ago, I was going to CD shows each month at a local travel hotel next to an expressway in a suburb. Gobbling up Led Zeppelin underground recordings each month. It was always hit and miss. Bought some books and monthly magazines that had reviews of what was out there. Always enjoyed the "hunt". Preinternet. Now, you can find oddles of live Zep on CZcams for free. Oh well. I was very glad at the time to track down these treasures, and I kinda got used to the sound as the show progressed. PS, I was always told that it's not a good idea to store your CDs flat. Better if their vertical.

You got that right! The prices were quite high for what they were. $120 for golden records vol 4 in mono/ Aussie version. I already have two of those and didn’t pay close to that amount.
Man, some lovely stuff. The Elvis Hong Kong Fan Club record is the coolest ever. I wonder how many were made. Lol, that booklet is pretty disappointing!
I didn’t mind the booklet. I wasn’t expecting colour photos for a 70s release. 🙂

Great Elvis Stuff my Friend Congratulations👍. A couple of years ago i purchased the 1980 Japanese 4 Vinyl Box "By Request of Japanese Fans" for €/$80,-- incl Obi in very good Condition at a Vinyl & CD Fair here in Vienna. (btw a nice Bootleg 4 CD-Box-Set was available in 2019)
Very cool Harald! I decided to go for it that day. I went over my budget, but luckily I didn’t go to the other two record shows.
Many of the records in that store seemed quite pricey although that UK first album could have been a bargain at 100 Aussie dollars, depending on the condition of the LP, of course. Thanks for the shout-out, John. Cheers.
@@ElvisPresleyInJapan they were all expensive. I was in the back of a panel van on my knees. 🤣 In Australia we over pay for a lot of stuff. Did you know it’s $77 for the new Memphis release/ 2 LP set from Sony legacy at a store similar to HMV.

Had a family member throw the 7lp box set at me when i asked for it after a demise and it landed scrawled across the drive way. It WAS mint. Out of anger i turned and walked away and didnt look back. Bargain price tho... The 4lp Japanese set looked awesome but the page turning had me drooling for obvious reasons 😜

That's part of the hobby of music cd collecting. This same thing has happened to me so many times, and it still happens from time to time.I sometimes wonder how much money I've lost with " blind buys" that's gone completely pear shaped.

Ok thanks for the advice. I think I may know how to fix that. I increase the sound on Imovie when I edit it and I may be going too loud with the audio. 🙂

A rare slip up on my part. But I’ve learnt my lesson now to always sample the tracks on the phone before committing to it.
VERY entertaining video, reiminds me of the video "elvis finds #2 records, 4 CD's" about 49 secinds in.
It’s hard to rekindle original magic from the past. You are a valued member of the Beat Up Record family. Make sure that floor beam is supported MIN 190 bearing and tied down with a RD1.
Back when we traded cassettes of Elvis concerts there were some awful tapes circulating. All we saw was a date and place of a concert we didn’t have, so we got them. The massive disappointment of an unlistenable tape is a feeling I know well! I thought you were going to say that the box had sold out and was now three times the original price. Been there too!
I’m usually more careful. I think the Elvis vinyl finds and a cool Night Ranger LP that I found at the fair gave me brain fog. 😂. I was happy with disc 1. Disc 2 and 3 would be better without the chatter from the guys and a different set of tracks on the third disc.

I'm sorry that you had to buy that piece of crap CD, record companies will release anything for a buck. I bought an imported CD from a well known seller & the CD was recorded off a vinyl record [complete with the pops & scratches]. I was so mad, especially when it cost me $40.00 USD So I know how you feel.

They are hard to come by. The record store I went to way back when was Replay Records. Only they would have something as cool as that Bonnet anthology 😎

Not too sure. I thought it was an official release. It’s mentioned officially on Bonnets discography.
So sorry man,,,, but it happens to us all at one time or another. I learned a very expensive lesson years ago when buying ELVIS boxsets that if you want it buy when it first comes out don't wait because it will just cost you more to buy it for your collection later. Their is still a few ELVIS boxsets that are just priced out of my price range, but could have afforded them when they first came out 😤
With new Elvis releases I find they drop in price by 20% over time. Used Elvis records have gone up since I first bought my first batch back in 2015. I picked up Elvis 70s albums for $4 back then and 60s movie soundtrack reissues for the same price 😊
Very unhappy as im assuming it cost a bit for a disappointing release. Happens every now and then. I have 2 of his lps. I do like his work. But that sounds 💩 how much was it, if you care to share and wot did you really do to your wrist.... hope it wasn't from a selfie.... ha ha ha 😅😂😮
