We highlight the work being done on major scenes and during big training exercises. We also give followers a behind-the-scenes look at our fire academies and all that goes into becoming a firefighter.

Jesus Christ is Lord. He is the only way to eternal life. The first man, Adam, sinned, and after him, all humanity. Mankind was brought under the curse through Adam. So the Lord Jesus Christ had to take on flesh, and live the perfect life for us. He then died on the cross for our sins as our perfect substitute and rose from the dead on the third day in victory. In doing so, He frees the one who believes in Him from the curse and brings us under His representation, by which we are declared righteous before God. Further, it’s through His blood that He gives the believer power to live a new life, free from the slavery of sin. Everyone was born once (physically). That’s how you enter earthly life. But to receive eternal life, you must be born again (spiritually) - and that comes through the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Its like this song was intended too save peoples lifes guess they really are staying alive.
Chattanooga Fire Department Firefighter training is demanding and requires a unique level of commitment to learning to better serve our community. So thankful for theses men and women.

Im a career firefighter here in a small town in Alabama. I love it, but im looking to move on somewhere bigger with some more action. Saw where you guys had some openings and plan on applying. Is the 100 foot ladder climb timed
I've done this climb before at the fort Smith fire department PAT. It wasn't timed. I needed to go slow or I would have probably lost my composure a little bit. Lol
I went up our 75 last week, the height didn't bother me at all but fuck were my legs feeling it.
Back in the '90's some of the departments I tested for had candidates climb the stick during the recruitment phase. Untrained candidates applying for the departments climbing with NO belay.
God bless firefighters, policemen and dispatchers. What tough jobs they all have.

Fun facts for you: In New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Appalachia (where Chattanooga is), a Squad Company is a multipurpose manpower company capable of engine, truck and technical rescue work, depending on the needs of the Incident Commander. In the Southwest, West and some parts of the South, a Squad Company is a 2 man light rescue truck or ambulance used for emergency medical response. In the Midwest and other parts of the South (Michigan, Ohio, ect.) a Squad Company is a rescue company who preforms technical rescue operations, and in some departments may respond to minor medical emergencies. In the Plains States, a Squad company is...well whatever they want it to be. Plains states departments are weird. In this case, within Chattanooga Fire, a Squad Company uses the New England definition and is a multipurpose manpower company that, within its 1st due district serves as an engine, but may otherwise serve as a rescue company on calls inside or outside its district depending on the IC's needs.

The replacement of the fire training tower will greatly benefit the firefighters in Chattanooga and Hamilton County as they train to better protect the citizens in their communities. So important to give these firefighters the training necessary to meet the challenges that they so bravely face everyday. Congratulations on the progress being made with this project. Looking forward to the completion celebration.
