My father used to wander round the house (it's a male thing) singing all these great old jazz/swing numbers. A musical legacy he passed to me and I in turn to my children along with my own eclectic tastes. If they wish to do so, it's their turn to next pass that legacy on with the inclusion of their musical tastes, and so it goes It really was wonderful to hear you sing another "oldie." It was special, it was beautiful and, from my perspective 'There ain't no genre you can't deliver : each time you sing my heart's a quiver." Now that's poetry. Pretty poor poetry I grant you, but oh so true.

I've only recently become aware of this song, and no disrespect to Cher, but there's something about the original I find "off", this however, is without a doubt one of the best cover songs I've heard in a long time.
