My very first release is this here acoustic EP recorded and mixed by Colin Kelly at @redskyrecordingstudio
A collection of the first bunch of songs I wrote.
I'm still new to this songwriting stuff, and to be honest, I took a long break after writing these. I guess enough time passed where my interests shifted, and I began to doubt if I even liked these songs anymore.. but thanks to some really encouraging friends and family and you all here on youtube, I became excited to sing these again.
Big, huge, massive thank you and shout to Colin for his amazing work at recording, mixing, and giving me that push I needed to get this done. Be sure to give him a follow to see what other awesome projects he's worked/working on.
These songs are from the era of my life where I was rambling around Ireland and Europe with a little guitar, busking my way through life, just following my heart compass from place to place. It eventually brought me home. It was a very liberating journey and also very stressful, but boy, do I have some good stories. The thing that made it the most magical, though, was the people I met along the way and the friendships that carried through to the chapters following.
I still remember Bernadette Phillips telling me at the @parlourvintagetearooms that I would write my own songs one day. It's thanks to that beautiful, wise, inspiring woman that The Fish Song was born and, thus, my confidence to keep writing. Wherever you are in spirit, Bernadette, that one's for you 🩵✨️
It's been a long time coming, but I finally did it, and to be honest, it's a big deal when I actually finish a creative project (where my procrastinators and easily distracted folks at?)!

So I gave your album a solid listen today. I put on the headphones, closed my eyes and dove into your music. It is a masterful celebration of the heart: music, lyrics and melodies. You are carrying the torch of other esteemed Canadian artists -- Joni Mitchell and KD Lang immediately cometomind -- but you are doing it with your own distinct fingerprint.
