man... I have this one. but the new Rekordbox version doesn't work with it :\ I bought rekordbox when it was one time fee back then. I refuse to sub, to use a DJ software. oh well at least Pioneer still lets me download the old version. thanks man! I will follow your guide

Would be great if not only we could chose a disk, but also a disk location to store the db.. ie which folder. Also to have the option to move /sync associated music file changes, and to which root respective folder and automatically update the db paths. I built that manually with shell scripts but it all fell apart when the structure of the db's became different across os's. i think the notion of using a external HDD master is horrid, and high risk - but it is what it is. I'll back that up instead. That said I suspect it's all about the cloud for that cross device workflow now... which sounds great... but comes at a fee :(

Good to know you need to unplug the Ethernet. I had some kids trying to plug in their laptop to our djm900nxs2 and CDJ 2000 v1's at work and they couldn't get it to connect

I'm currently looking to upgrade from the survivor usb since it's slow. would the Corsair 256 gb usb 3.1 voyager gtx work with the cdjs. I want to go with that for the build quality and the speed.

Waouw thanks so much. Since I recently purchased an xdj-rx second hand, it was still under previous firmware. I upgraded to latest firmware but my attempt to use unlock hardware device on rekordbox 6 failed as it didn't recognize the RX. Applying that Audio MIDI setup fix solved it ! Thanks so much !!

You alright, is there a way I can reset a track to what it originally was before editing it on the grid adjustment… I used the undo button but only seems to work so many times so I want to reset the track to what it first was. Cheers

Hi everyone. I have just made up a custom DJ deck with 2 x xdj-700s and a Reloop RMX 60 mixer. For some reason the players won't sync properly to my Rekorbox 6 on my laptop. I have the 2 players connected by USB straight into my laptop. No ethernet is plugged in. It has windows 10 and is an Asus laptop. I have installed the CDJ/XDJ ASIO driver. If I switch to performance mode in Rekordbox and then on either player press LINK to sync them to the laptop it says USB- Midi on the player screen and I press to enter that. It now shows up and says pc on the bottom of the player however it is still not synced to Rekordbox on the laptop and nothing else comes up on the player screen. Won't select any tracks or designate a player number option when I turn the dial. The laptop seems to be identifying the players however just won't connect to them correctly. I have selected the ASIO driver in Rekordbox and the output players as 1 and 2 in preferences. Have watched every tutorial and info i could find but as yet no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

When i plug in my DDJ-RB in to my pc it just doesn't work. It feels like my computer dont regognize it. When i plug it in with the USB the typical window sound appears and nothing happens. How do i fix this?

Nothing will get my usb to register, it’s in FAT32 with MBR enabled. I downloaded the file on chrome directly from pioneers website. I extracted it manually on my desktop and straight to my USB. The file reads ‘XDJRX2.UPD’ there are no letterers that shouldn’t be there. I have tried both plugging in before turning the power on and post turning the power on. It just gets stuck on ‘connect usb storage device into top usb1 port’. Please someone help every fix that has helped someone else isn’t working for me and I can’t figure out why.

what if my music collection has a folder for every album and record label? Id say its at least 1000-10,000 folders, would I have to do this 1000-10,000 times?

Great Video from 7 years ago, some updated may have had happened since then with rekordbox but the main concept of how to move database from one computer to another very very helpful as one of my laptop crashed so I wanted to make a smooth transfer from external hard drive to a new laptop and sync everything as it was on the old laptop and this video was very helpful. Thank you so much! Greatly appreciated
