The classic version speeds up the game by rewarding players with larger numbers of troops as the cards get cashed in. Eventually, someone will gain so many troops that they can go on a roll knocking off players and acquiring / cashing in more cards as they go. This is the "risk" of the game. If they run out steam and fail to conquer all, the next player to cash in will likely win. If the army rewards are static, then I fail to see how this could shorten the game or allow for underdogs to come back? It has been basic risk game theory for decades that increasing army rewards for cashing in cards shortens game length.

This is all possible because SAXONY has the special ability of "There is no limit to the number of stars you can place from completing objectives and winning combat."

Edited after checking rules: Normally you can only put one Star on each space. So this 9 turn is impossible under normal circumstances. However, what he didn't mention in the video (hence my original wrong assumption) is that this is the only Faction that ignores these rules so this is legal for this faction only.

You clearly dont play warhammer. Interpreting rules and spelling errors is basically part of the game now. I have never spoken to anyone who has the same interpretation of the same rule, because the dont word anything well at all.

I thought that the reward cards for attack rolls were one-use cards. That's how it reads from the rules and didn't make any sense that the card says "per roll". Now it makes a little more sense to me. Also deciphering those objective cards were a pain, it's like they're written from a lore standpoint and not for playability.

Weird they messed up the map… I was thinking of getting the game to use as a campaign map… good thing I saw this video.

Random turn order every turn. 5 tokens in a bag, draw a token at the start of each turn and whoever's it is goes. Makes it harder to place units expecting to go first or even before your opponent, and the same goes for further into the game, you could set up for an attack and then go last. It does open a can of worms for going last and then going first for a double turn, but you also went last so if anything it's a little prize. Plus, it adds tension and excitement after each players turn, will it be me next? If it's you then you are going to get to attack and take my territory before I can do the same to you!

This video is significantly more enjoyable at 0.75x speed, take that criticism as you will. Good points, decent editing, but I think you might be pushing the "go fast to entertain the Gen-alphas with no attention span" a bit too hard.

I really don't understand why every cardboard game have to use dice rolls, which makes every game just RNG.... which is not tactical or anything like that. I would prefer a tactical game without dice rolls like chess. Imagine chess game with dice rolls if you success your attack or not xD
