New! FEYNMAN AND THE BOMB - audio only
Here the American physicist Richard Feynman talks about how, although very young, he came to be involved in the WW2 atomic bomb project. He shares his thoughts on the moral dilemmas that faced him and his fellow scientists, including Robert Oppenheimer. This audio recording is largely outtakes from the filming for a BBC TV Horizon documentary called 'The Pleasure of Finding Things Out' (1981). The film negative and work print for this unused material were junked after transmission of the finished programme as was the practice at the time - film cans took up a lot of space! But you can see the accompanying picture for the sections included in the final film at the BBC Archive website if you live in the UK, or on Vimeo worldwide - search for 'The Pleasure of Finding Things Out'

Comical to have an English person sitting in the middle. A tiny country that colonized so much of the world, oppressing people is the basis for their existence since it's foundation, and they have this person talk like she is intellectually equal to these two to her left and right. Funny, that's all...

  • @user-tx8zs5lr9p

1.0 ,Life is a kind of science. Science is around our daily life.

When Dylan lost his aloofness and went mainstream he lost it. Celebrity-hood ruined him. Acoustic guitar and harmonica rack era was the best, however I did like his Nashville Skyline album. 'Twas very novel coming after a long dry spell. As a great American poet, he's highly underrated. Ain't easy coming up with those lines. And his were as clever as they come.

I would never understand why people who are not welcome and specially had their lives destroyed by U.S or EU wants to live side by side with them, I would feel so disgusted. I hate U.S more than anything in the world and I will never work for them, never be under their laws because they financed a military coup in my country (Paraguay) that gave us 32 years of pure dictatorship naightmare with a huge pedophile net and organs traficking to Israel and U.S and I was always scare, my mother never had peace while we were under this situation. I went to U.S a few times cuz my ex husband had a house in Miami and seeing Cubans praising that country made me twice disgusted that I kindly asked my husband to never ask me to go there ever again. I never felt good there, I couldn't stand the level of ignorance and hipocresy these people had and were so proud of it. - I'm not saying I don't have american friends because I do have many, it's not about them, it's about the country rulers and supporters of their policies of terror around the world. If I ever hear an amercian friend supporting it he will stop being my friend in the same second.I have my limist, I can't understand why plaestinians, africans, and indians can't have it

It was wonderful to watch this although of course very disturbing. I read two books which are collections of his talks which were amazing. I actually wish very deeply that he was alive now because he is such a deep intellect as well as broad in his understanding and we need someone with that ability right now. We have various people who seem to display this who actually are from the zionist state but are living as expats, eg Ilan Pappe. . We have definitely some Palestinians such as Mr Khalid who also have great depth to their knowledge but Edward Said was a musician at heart and he brings a different dimension to any discussion. I know now that it is the end of the zionist state and the zionists in that state know it, hence they are doing horrendous abominable criminal actions because they know the fantasy is over. The fact is though, there is both the land and the people, who identity Jewish, and these people have an opportunity to live on that land with the indigenous people if they are able & willing. They need give up their psychotic neurosis which has pushed them to do criminal actions against other human beings. Norman Finkelstein says this all the time, so I should not be censored. It's not a sin to have a mental challenge as they say or psychotic breakdown, but it has to be addressed when an entire nation has one. THAT Nation needs to be redressed and aided to make the transition to where they will be finally happy. It is the only place one can be happy, where there is equality & peace for all. I was in the Holy Land in the '80s. I went to Jerusalem & Eilat and Bethlehem & worked on a kibbutz and I met people and I talked to people and I knew then that the land belonged to the Zionists but the Palestinians belong to the land. So be it.🕊️
