    that's wild that the bottom of ur stock headers that connects to the rest of the exhaust isn't gone from rust. I just had this issue the other day that the bolts pretty much fell apart from rust and was causing a exhaust leak. I had to take the whole exhaust off, cut what was left of the bolts off, then heat up the threads of the bolts stuck in the headers with a blow touch and knock them out. shit was a fucking project.

    Damaged by the disa pin? I thought the pin was supposed to be plastic? Wouldn't the plastic just be crushed instead of damaging the head and pistons?

      That is probably why the oem bmw disa valves are made of plastic just in case of a failure like this but a lot of aftermarket disas use a metal pin and if it fails this happens idk just what I think

    Hey man, did you manage to take both the exhaust manifold out?? The bank 1&2 they said that the long one idk which one that is, that it was difficult to remove and it was too big, they had to lift the engine up a little bit to make space and then pull it out. How did you do i it? I couldn’t see it properly

    The muffler place I took my car to when it had a leak in the flange just cut the flange and welded my old manifold straight to my mid pipe so im gonna have some fuuuuunnnnnnnn

    I can not believe i did not see you video, when i was fixing the purge valve , You have a new subscriber, thank you, MY QUESTION TO YOU WHAT WERE THE SISTOMS YOU HAVE, AND CODE , Help please i have E60 N52 Rough idle when warn 6500rpm , just a vibration and zoommmm sound, also reverse and stop signal and red light , when driving is a smooth, I have change the purge valve (P0444) sparks plugs, coils, solenoids (vanos ), and still have the same vibration now i have 3 codes P2098 (POST CATALYST TOO LEAN BANK 2 ) AND SHOWS TWICE SAME CODE AND P2272 o2 sensor signal stuck bank 2 sensor 2 And a lot of forums says is these the visa , Can you help me please i so frustrated, of keeping fixing these car has 150000 miles Thank you in advance

      N5XG only concern is that the two headers are fairly close to each other that’s why am considering getting an exhaust wrap

      @@carlosvasquez-hn2zu should still be fine, drive it around for a bit and check for temperature. If you feel it's too much then wrap them for peace of mind

      I didn't have to remove the passenger motor mount, might make it a tad easier if you do but you should be fine

    I bought a set of these headers used, are the gaskets it came with the same as oe gaskets? and is there any special hardware or gaskets for where the headers connects to the mid pipes or in general that ill need to source before I install them?

      Should be same as OE, no special hardware but there is two more gaskets that connect the mid pipes to the headers. I would suggest getting them from FCPEuro since they offer lifetime warranty

      Please don’t work on your car unless you have another one or else if you get tired and can’t finish and or you rush through it your gonna fuck up. Ik from experience fucked up a clutch on my car had to redo it but thankfully I had the bmw as a “spare” car killed me to daily it till I fixed the Z I have.

    How did you remove the second disa valve? Did you have to unscrew the 1st disa valve outside the manifold?

      Small Disa valve has it's own set of screws to be removed without the need of removing the Big disa valve

      @@N5XGaragethanks, ended up following your process. Should've just done that from the beginning shortcuts turn out longer. Ended up finding the big disa flappers in my cylinder 6. No wonder I was never able to fix that misfire. Luckily these thing run big I puzzled it back together to see if anything was missing and looked completely snapped in two pieces. Hope this clears it, I won't find out till tomorrow. Thanks again for the video man! Really appreciate it!

    You don't have to remove the intake manifold. Just move the alternator out of the way. There's plenty of room to remove the small Disa from the "inside" of the manifold. I've done this at least twice.

I have a 2007 530xi E60 N52 - i hope NOT removing the manifold still applies. if anyone knows of a video for the alternator removal i would appreciate it. This was a great video and thanks!
