Pretty huge for Czech and German standards. 2990 acres in total. It took 4 weeks to get it out since it was spreading throughout an entire national park with extremely difficult terrain. You could still smell it 100 miles away. czcams.com/video/ojw8cMr83Vo/video.html - 1:03 shows the smoke but that was just on the 2nd day and just the beginning. It's hard to film strobes, isn't it? Mind me asking what frame rate were you using?
It is. My camera is filming at 50fps which is the best it can do. I use the same framerate when editing videos. My camera just picks up some flashes during normal and sunny weather but it does really well picking up strobes once it gets darker (evening, night and even on rainy days).
@@Rummeltobi I think it has to do with shutter speeds. At night, your shutter speed is slower, which means there is a higher chance the fast strobe flash is captured via longer exposure. Also I really appreciate anyone who lives in 50hz powergrid to film in PAL framerates.
@@ta-production I think you're absolutely right with that. It's always good when people know their camera settings too.

Why Hungarian people always migrants? What happens on Hungary?🤔
Very cool and unique!
Some of our ambulances in Australia have alternating flashing headlights. They automatically turn off when the headlights are on. Something like that wouldn't go astray on these Czech units.
Wig wags are great but as far as I know they're not legal in Czechia. I just know of a very few (maybe not even a hand full) Czech emergency vehicles that have wig wags.
1:44 Italy siren sound ambulance fire truck
Yup. Here's another one: czcams.com/video/Pa-WwvZeHo4/video.html
NICE VIDEO
Thanks
The red and blue lights were used for maximum priority vehicles only. All the other cars on the road had to give way to them, even emergency vehicles with blue lights (ambulances etc.).
The explanation makes sense. Thank you! 😊
Embarrassing
Why?
Looks like one of the push bumper lights on the older unit is broken or not plugged in
It's broken. Just like the passenger side fog blue light and partially the driver side fog blue light.
Well, Holešovice is one of the busiest Fire stations in Prague and maybe in a whole republic too :-D Not that much compared to other countries maybe, but in Czech it surely is, firefighters on this station told me, they have from 6 to even 15 calls per day, and their respond area is very, very big. Thats a reason for a change, because in a past, the "central" fire station in Prague, was fire station 1, near a museum and IP Pavlova intersection, which is named "Sokolská". Now, the Holešovice station is the central one, it even get more apparatus (the special crane and tow truck of Prague station 2 was relocated and stationed permanently over there) and well, for some time now, the Holešovice even have another first line engine (so they have 3x smaller pumper with at least 4 firefighters for all the basic emergencies), another station that have the same pattern is Sokolská, but this station dont have a larger tanker, which Holešovice still have.
I think their call numbers surpassed HS1 in recent years. I know they wanted to make this station big and they'll also build an EMS station next to it. So this will be a large complex and a lot of fun for response buffs 😄 Thanks for all the input! You mean they relocated that large 3-axle Scania crane unit to HS3?
how is it possible that there is a violation of the 1:1 red:blue norm ?
Where do you see that?
@@Rummeltobi on the exterior warning lights. the lightbar is fine.
@@UNIT9898 I don't see a violation there. The amount of red and blue lights is equal. One blue and one red grille light each. 2 red and 2 blue side lights on each side. 1 red and 1 blue rear light. It's exactly 1:1 / 50-50 😄
@@Rummeltobi well, when I look at the PČR cars, from the front view it's blue on the left and red on the right, it's not reversed like on this Tatra, but that's probably okay. only when I was choosing new lighting for the local fire truck and wanted to put colors like those on this Tatra, they didn't let me do it because of the 1:1 as the PČR cars are.
@@UNIT9898 As far as I know it legally doesn't matter where you put which color. Everything is fine as long as the light on the opposite side has the opposite color. Were you planning something specific for your local fire truck and will it be a Whelen setup?
nice video and dodge cars are still missing Ford Explorer 😁but Ford CVPI is a legend.
All their recent vehicles were Dodges, so I don't see them using any Fords in the future 😄 Seeing them with a CVPI some years ago would have been interesting for sure.
@@Rummeltobi They have a Ford Kuga as one of the patrol cars too :-DD the one and only vehicle of theirs, which is european :-D
@@Rummeltobi Yes you are right. It would be interesting to see a Ford CVPI in the Czech Republic years ago. But if they bought a Ford Explorer 2020 and used it with current Dodges, something new would appear in the Czech Republic, but that probably won't happen.
@@Bosko243 Yeah, I've mentioned that in the description but I don't really count it since that car was a mistake and is only used for calls in difficult terrain.
@@UNIT9898 A 2020 Explorer would have been interesting as well but they're getting something different, stay tuned 😄
Those Chargers are beautiful, it is strange that they are for municipal police not highway patrol. I don't want to imagine what it looks like the new 2.5 tonnes Charger for police
Right now I'm no fan of the new (2025) Charger. I can see slight similarities with the 1970 version but it just looks off. I guess I'll get used to it. I look forward to how it looks as a cop car.
@@Rummeltobi for me is too much, knowing that from a V8 monster to become a 2500 kilos of electric or less weight but 6 cylinder. Another muscle car being killed. Strange that they never think to make hybrid V8 on the top tier
@@marco_grt4460 Dodge had an interesting solution for the current V8 generation where the engine shuts off 4 cylinders and only uses all 8 when they're needed.
@@Rummeltobi interesting, but i doubt that Stellantis invest to evolve that technology, look at Alfa Romeo or other Italian brands, anyways, who live will see
Well, i think that municipal police of Lázně Bohdaneč actually have less powered variants of those cars, one of them is "just" 3.5 liter, so thats why :-D it is not very sutiable for highway patrolling, but Lázně Bohdaneč are close to the Pardubice, big regional city and there is some kind of main road (not a highway), on which a lot of people is speeding, and well, in history, there were a lot of chases too :-D

Warum kein Battenburg Fan?
Just perfect. A ride along wet dry vacuum cleaner with a kitty litter box in the back.

Very nice vehicles! I love the RAV4 in general, so seeing it as an emergency vehicle is always awesome.
The RAV4 certainly looks cool. It was the primary reason I stopped in that town 😄 Another vehicle which I would really like to see as an emergency vehicle in central Europe is the Hyundai Staria. I really wonder what agencies would make out of that van.
That Mondeo was formely marked police unit, fully with lightbar and green stripe. They were all sold when they went out of service, and lightbars were dismounted, that's why this one is "unmarked". These Mondeos were high-powered ST220 version and were used for highway patrol units.
