A Credor Chronograph for the Price of a Tissot PRX
zhlédnutí 10KPřed měsícem
Credor is an interesting brand in the family of Seiko brands. It's a step above Grand Seiko but nowadays, only caters to enthusiasts who are more into dressier watches. However, there was a time when Credor dabbled in the world of sport watches and they were quite good! The Credor Phoenix Chronograph featured in this video is the reference GCB997 and it's considered as one of the best automatic...
Shopping Watches in Japan and Where to Find Them

After months of preparation trying to find the perfect watch to buy in Japan, I’ve came up with some tips on the best places to find watches, how to find deals, and things you should consider when buying a watch in Japan. In this video, we had the pleasure to visit several stores throughout Japan, including Grand Seiko, Seiko, Kurono Tokyo, and Kuoe to name a few. I talk about my journey and pi...

JDM Watch Brands to Consider and a Couple More Seiko's | Watch Shopping in Tokyo, Japan

We are so close to the deciding factor on what watch or watches I plan on picking up when I'm in Japan! In this video, I feature a few more JDM brands which also include a couple Seiko's and watches from Citizen under "The Citizen" line. There are a few other micro-brands from Japan as well that include Kurono Tokyo, Minase, Knot, Mirco, and I.TARU. This is the last part of the research and dec...
I'm Buying a Seiko, Maybe | Watch Shopping in Tokyo, Japan

We've already taken a look at Grand Seiko but does Seiko have what it takes to take my money while I watch shop in Japan? With Seiko, there are so many options to choose from and from an affordability standpoint, it's hard to not look at all the different watches Seiko has made through the years. Also, at the very end of the video, I take a look at a Credor from the past that makes the Seiko Al...
Convince Me to Buy a Grand Seiko | Watch Shopping in Tokyo, Japan

I'm heading to Japan very soon and have a little bit of an issue trying to figure out if I want to buy a watch while I'm there. Today, I am exploring some potential options from Grand Seiko. I am a huge fan of Grand Seiko but never owned one, I know it's weird to say. However, with discount, duty free shopping, and the exchange rates in favor for the dollar, is this finally my chance to own a G...

Consider These Rubber Watch Straps for Seiko Divers
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 7 měsíci
You heard me! These are the best rubber watch straps I've ever come across and I mean it. To be honest, I'm more of a NATO and bracelet watch kind of guy but these rubber straps paired up with their RM style deployant clasp is incredible. It almost feels as if it is a textile strap, however, it is completely water resistant and wears great out of the box. Give Artem Straps a visit here: bit.ly/...
A Zenith Pilot Watch Worth Considering

Zenith was gracious enough to lend me the Pilot Big Date Flyback for a week and I enjoyed it a lot more that I expected. I had the option to choose between a few watches but thought this one would be the interesting to feature on my channel, as it isn't a very common watch you find out there being talked about. This video is a bit different than my usual material as it is a bit shorter, less of...
Ciga Design Series Z Review

I'm not much of a skeleton watch kind of guy, especially skeleton watches in the budget category due to them looking rather cheap and tacky. However, this skeleton watch from Ciga Design is the exception. The Series Z in Titanium by Ciga Design surprised me on what can be achieved in a sub $500 skeleton watch. If you're interested in this watch, Ciga Design was nice enough to offer my viewers 3...

My version would be "buying film camera in Japan and where to find them" haha
I would love to watch that haha. Thanks for stopping by!
I wanted the Artem watch strap and talk about sticker shock.
It is sad that my wrists are small and I can carry max 40mm watches..
Thanks man! I really needed a video that can teach enthusiasts about the different locations in Japan to Shop for watches. I really hope to travel to Japan one day to buy some good pieces.
Mostly junk
Love my junk 😬
In my opinion, a mechanical watch today should at least be automatic and have a perpetual calendar. The purpose of a watch is to measure time. This watch is no different from a Seiko watch produced in 1980. Total disappointment.
Best thing to do Buy a Casio. It will keep better time
Rolex are Bigger crooks than the people who make fakes Because they control and manipulate the market to such an extent You can’t even buy a real Rolex from an authorised dealer,in turn pushing prices up !
I just got gifted one for free. I not really a watch guy but he said he got the wrong one and they told hit just keep it and sent him another, so he gave it to me! :)
Bought ciga design watch from TATA Cliq online store on September 2023 and now its not working and its under warranty period. I have contacted tata cliq help center and ciga design support center. They are not responding. Atleast i need service. They are not at all genuine. Its a fraud company from china. Wont get any service from india.
Should of gone vsf better movement
Gosh….9:11minutes …scaryyyy
I bought two Grand Seiko watches... GS SBGA211 "Snowflake" Spring Drive GS SLGC001 "Tentagraph" 5hz Chronograph Love them both ❤ 🇬🇧
That Tentagraph is a showstopper! Great pick ups!
@ClickyBezel Thanks... When in my watch box collection. The Tentagraph looks like Water, the Snowflake like Ice. I've got an Omega Speedmaster Moonphase in chocolate brown which looks like Earth, and a G-Shock MTG-B3000FR which looks like Fire. Funny really when I noticed it... 🤣 😂
I think it should be the Seiko Alpinist GMT. ;). Though I love Seiko and I do collect them, If I had to have one watch, it would be the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic.
I have a collection that ranges from $10 Casios to modern Tudors, this watch is the one watch I tend to pick up when I get decision fatigue on what to wear, it just works in 99% of situations. Great little watch.
I have a nomos petrol and a 114270 explorer.. between this two, I come to the same conclusion. The rolex always win due to better movement, more robustness, reliability and brand recognition.. i feel like the rolex is the more adult watch. however, the nomos is a very appealing watch and certainly is a winner in the aesthetics department..
excellent choices
Digging the urban lesbian look man
Just Seiko...
Japanese mechanical watches are nowhere near its Swiss counterparts.
What watch is that at 1:43?
Love mine
I’m 14:09 going to Kyoto today. I’m looking forward to getting a field watch.
I really enjoyed this video, I found it really interesting how I have had the same "evolution" as you, from Casio, Timex, Seiko, Swiss brands, etc... I truly enjoyed this video of the journey you have had as an enthusiast. I just found your channel, you have a new subscriber, keep the good work!
What an amazing video! Loved the trip vlog format, you editing is freaking awesome as well.
the straps cost more then the watch lol
That green mint chrono from Tokyo stole my heart, I didn’t even know that brand
This dude vídeos quality is insane!!! High level stuff 👏👏👏
Seiko has other watches that keep better time and are easier to read. This is a pretty trendy watch but not likely to get widespread “likes”. We all have and are entitled to an opinion- mine is the watch is cheap looking and lacking Seiko’s famous accuracy. If it is meant for adventurers and not posers, I doubt if it will be popular.
Love it. But I love the Bel Canto more, have it in Nero.
Am I too late??? Now, to Instagram!
It’s not too late! Best of luck 🤞
Nice clickbait, I am still waiting for you to show the watches haha
Full video link is on the clickable button on the CZcams short!
Thanks for your video. I’m going to Japan this fall. Looking to buy a watch that’s only available in Japan, so looking to buy a Knot. If nothing there, I’ll get a Kuoe. I know that they both can be ordered online. If nothing from either brand, I’ll get a Seiko. How would someone tell if a Seiko is only sold in Japan? Is there a code or number on the watch?
Awesome
Outstanding storytelling! Looking forward to more of these from you.
They were right? No.. just $100 more.. you could have had a super fake by clean and omg the research you could have done.. you could have seen how it would wear.. what broke through time.. the long term study…. Will you be in Vietnam anytime soon again? Nope. I disagree wholeheartedly with not buying it.. sorry bud:(
That's the real watch collection. I mean, when you see only Omega, Rolex, Grand Seiko, you're like "come on, dude, how long you're heating for watches?". I love big brands, they're pinnacle, and they aren't even boring, they're cool, but in collection footages when it's only those brands, that's just weird.
I'm going to sit here and watch your whole video just in appreciation for your defying the cliché CZcams convention and laying out your structure up front.
Clicky Bezel, what is the watch at 7:04 with the blue numbers, please? Love that dial!
I love that you made this video because I went through a similar situation when I was thinking about what GS to get when I went to Japan back in Nov. 2022. This was gonna be my first GS, and I decided that it had to have 3 requirements: 1. 100% original GS design, as in it can't look like anything else. 2. Spring Drive. Yes, the Hi-beat and 9F quartz movements are brilliant on their own, but Spring Drive is inherently GS. No other brand has this. 3. It has to wear well on my 6.5" wrist. After extensive research, I landed on the SBGY009, a manual wind Spring Drive model with a 44GS case that is only 10.5mm thick. The only obstacle was the price, but because of the exchange rate, I saved 2k USD buying in Japan vs buying in the US. I recommend looking on the Japanese GS website to get a more accurate representation of current pricing, and do the exchange calculations to see how much you'd save. I believe that these are the situations where you can't follow your head to make a decision, you have to follow your heart. I ended up getting the SBGY009 for myself and the SBGA443 (JDM version of the SBGA415) for my wife at the Wako GS flagship store during our honeymoon trip in Japan. They are pieces that we'll cherish/keep forever.
Clean Factory reps are scary good. A warning from this fledgling watchmaker to those looking to purchase a genuine watch: some grey market dealers will transplant a genuine balance complete into the replica 3135/3235 movement, making it almost impossible to distinguish from the real thing. The finish work (brushing, beveling, decoration, engraving) on the genuine watch movement will be fine and without flaws. If the dealer won’t let you open the case back, walk away.
I own the SSK001 (the one your dad owns). I absolutely love everything about this watch so much so that I’m willing to overlook the accuracy issue. Perhaps it’s just my particular watch but the accuracy has been less than impressive. It’s within Seiko’s margins so no use in complaining. The 4R34 is a workhorse movement. It’s sort of a crap shoot as these movements are not regulated to a high degree before being cased. Your review was excellent and touched on all the major points. It’s an all around great watch!
Whoa 5k I’ll pass
Where is the ad located? Location matters a lot
SF
@@ClickyBezel that’s a pretty hot market, although the sales tax must have hurt 😂. Congrats
what size are these 22mm or?
I want this watch so bad lol. Skeleton watches either look awful or are tens/hundreds of thousands of dollars. This one is neither. I love the look. The somewhat similar in price zenith is ugly and too big, same with the oris and that one is almost double the price. Everything else is tens of thousands of dollars. This is definitely on my list after a grand seiko. Hope they don’t discontinue it for at least a year haha
That teal blue 😍🫶
