Of course the version of rome thats in the game doesnt work as a new world, thats just not what it was designed as. If they actually implemented rome as its own world, they would massively change it from what it currently is and propably fix most of the issues from this video. Rome also has some massive upsides compared to doing a completely new world. They already have the general style and designs as a basis to work of, making it much less work for them

i love peanut he's legit perfectly executed in terms of goofiness but he's unironically a great plant uses first of all he's good for putting in lanes where gargs throw there imps after all he is a tank and your likely not getting your hands on pumpkin till you finish the main game also another thing is that he cost gems and you can get him fairly early meaning that he's the lowest recharge for a wall for a good while until drastic marsh. Also his plant food is pretty good, basically giving you a free new peanut along with killing almost anything that's currently eating him. Now as for his weak damage it's better then nothing plus he's technically one of the cheapest straight shooters in the game at only 150 sun. now that may not sound like much of a benefit since the sun is so easy to get but that means combined with his decent recharge for a wall and semi low cost you can easily spam him and unlike durian the more peanuts you spam the more damage you get. sure peanut has no spot he wants to be at but he has no spots he DOSEN'T want to be at either plus he's pretty good for octo zombies sense if you have a peanut behind another peanut. peanut should not be used at a wall or a straight shooter he should be used like a more offensive inf nut because just like him he's not good on his own but benefits from numbers and peanut self synergizes with himself because he gives the other peanuts behind him more time to shoot down the zombies and the time you have a bunch of peanuts down your whole lawn is filled with expandable walls that act as slightly stronger peashooters. Also the issue with peashooters is that they take up space better used by stronger plants but peanut takes up space that is normally bad for straight shooters but peanut is bulky enough and cheap enough to be able to be placed near the front lines. Peanut is neither a wall or a peashooter but rather he's a slightly stronger peashooter most of the time with the hp of a walnut. Now the thing is dark ages SCREWS over peanut in so many ways from jesters and wizards but the world gimmick itself makes peanut spam harder. but he can work wonders in places like lost city where he can be placed on sun tiles while not risking any important plants and also if he's pushed forward by Excavator it doesn't matter. yes peanut is a failure when used as role compression but he is unironically good if your using him like you would use something like lighting reed or inf nut and to be honest peanut is just a better reed sense spamming him not only gives you more attack power but more defense incase peanuts damage wasn't enough but at that point the zombie is likely strong enough to warrant the wall part useful sense special's meant to counter walls get shut down by even low damage most of the time and even if they die you can just replace them. Overall, peanut is a good plant and reworking him to be a close range plant will just ruin his whole thing no matter where he's placed he's doing something.

if they increased amount of portals appear in each level(a portal can summon only a few zombies(but still more than it does in the actual game) but every level passes the amount of portals increases and you get lost in the chaos of trying to handle zombies from every world

I know I'm incredibly late, but personally I'd say my favorite plant may be Parsnip or Hurrikale. Sure they're not the simplest, but they’re consistent. They make a big impact in the lane they're in, yet still leave enough room for frequent use cases. Parsnip is a little more demanding in terms of strategy, admittedly. Parsnip's heavy damage, decent price, fast recharge, and last-ditch attack down the lane make it good for putting on almost any frontlines, protected or not. As long as they aren't instakilled, you can be certain that a Parsnip will guarantee anything ahead in its lane will be really hurting, sooner or later. Hurrikale essentially takes the entire lane's zombies and shoves em back to the right side of the board, while also slowing them to a crawl. Plus, doing this completely shuts down anything airborne in the lane too, which are usually faster than groundborne zombies, so that gets a bit more value out of the stalling. The instant use makes it a fantastic emergency tool, immediately relieving the pressure on one of your lanes for a good while. And, I'll admit, I also just really love their designs and names, hehe

i always watch this dude's videos but never understand 100% of it cuz i don't speak pixel botanic, great combo.

Listen when mordern day had levels after the final boss fight one level was plan for defense with nothing but hordes of the strongest zombies they had five super zombies per lane the only strategy I had this was before any of the insane over powered stuff happened basicly spring bean with garden plant food plus blower beat that level. Blowver is situational but that is the point anything in the air from segals to impbots raining from the sky or even zombies just throw up in the air blowver will throw them all off screen. Is it mostly useless yes does it have some situational but broken combos absolutely it is a plants vs zombies plant in the sense that it has its neshe and that it does really well there.

Relic hunter was also never a problem for me, The biggest problem was excavator, not only because of the plants being neutrralized, but mostly because it blocks against peas

Idk why but wouldn't it be cool if some levels would glitch for example your at modern day and it reaches a wave then suddenly it glitches and next your in big wave beach. It would be a cool idea as it can suprise players and the best part is that its random so it like forces the player to be strategic because they dont know what world they would be teleported for exaple you got teleported to BWB and you dont have lily pads. I think it would also be cool if the Dr. Zomboss could be a glitch, merfe hybrids of some sorts
