    So, aperently time crystals are a real life concept. Unlike Blinx time crystals, they don't power time machines, but they do, theroeticly, break other laws of physics; by being perpetual motion machines. Small time crystals have been made in labs, but so far none of them have been stable.

    So, I have been binging a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh content, and I have begun to wonder if there's a way to make Yu-Gi-Oh monsters as Pathfinder characters. If you don't know, a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh cards have lore, and some of the most interesting lore comes from the Duel Terminal. It's a story about four warring tribes coming together to fight off an alien invasion and the aftermath of the defeat of the aliens. Specifically, I think it would be extremely interesting to cover the race that shows up midway through the war: the Genex. You see, the aliens (also known as the Worms) are able to adapt to survive harsh environments and defeat the inhabitants of the worlds they attack. One adaptation was the power to corrupt the land around them when they were killed. The Genex are the guardians of the world of the Duel Terminal, and basically showed up to repair the environment. When the Worms attacked them, they would fight back, but they weren't very strong. The tribes, who had formed an alliance called "Justice", decided to use technology they had developed to fight against the Worms to help out the Genex, creating the Genex Controllers, which could send data collected from Justice's previous battles with the Worms to the Genex to help them fight back. When the Genex received the data, they would undergo a physical transformation (with the cards, this was shown through Synchro Summoning). My question is: how would you make one of the Genex?

      @thejennybean Many apologies for the late response, I just saw your comment. I actually made a couple of Yugioh monsters as playable characters for D&D. So it is definitely a possibility that these characters can be made in Pathfinder 2e. The easiest characters to replicate would probably be Dark Magician, Buster Blader, and Gaia/Black Luster Soldier. Now, the Genex (and by proxy, the Ally of Justice), their deal is a bit more complicated. From a pure mechanical standpoint, I would go with the Automatons for the Ancestry. Android would be a close second, but only because of how different Automatons and Androids are. I would say that my build for XJ-9 is decently close to a Genex/AoJ character. Although I would probably swap out the Background for Junker or Inventor. Maybe even Warrior.

    • @thejennybean
      @thejennybean Před 6 dny

      @Drahjan_BeginDownload That's a really good idea for the Ally of Justice monsters and some Genex monsters, but I was also wondering two things. First, would some of the Genex monsters with attributes other than Dark (like Gaia, Furnace, Blastfan and Undine), would they use the Elemental heritages? Second, what would the best way to incorporate their ability to drastically improve with help from Controller? In the card game, it's Synchro Summoning, which is a process of rapid evolution due to a regular monster coming in contact with a Tuner monster. In fact, is there a way to recreate the different Summoning methods in Pathfinder? Because they are an actual part of card lore and not just a mechanic for the card games.

    My first Pathfinder game was a pirate campaign, where I played a champion. The merfolk told us where to find the final boss; a litch king who used to be a merfolk, and had the souls of the several people from our pirate captain's backstory. (slain crewmates.) (edit,) well, technicly it was a doubble boss. The souls were tehnicly being held by the litch king's friend; a feind known as a "soulless jailer," who could only be harmed by our special maguffin weapon. Blinx technicly has a doubble jump, but It's a pretty bad one. He does not have a wall-jump. Instead he stands on falling debrees and uses a rewind. He's actualy relitively bad at par-core for his genera, and runs painfully slow; but he makes up for it by using time controlls to help him navagate, fight, avoid traps, and solve puzzles.

    • @Drahjan_BeginDownload
      @Drahjan_BeginDownload Před měsícem

      @@thejennybean A very good question, one I was actually thinking about recently. I'll be sure to tackle the build sometime soon, but as a sort of preview: I recommend grabbing the Lizardfolk Ancestry with the Dragonblood Heritage (when the Player Core 2 releases) since Agumon and his line are from the Dragon's Roar group. War Greymon is also categorized as a "Dragon Man" so... yeah, lol. As for getting Agumon to his Ultimate stages and above... I don't know off the top of my head. In my D&D build for Agumon, I did reference Omnimon's status as a Royal Knight in the background: Knight of the Order. I believe Pathfinder has a similar background. The Tyrant Witness Background would be fitting for our main Agumon. Due to the fact that he has bore witness to the rule of the Dark Masters in 01 and the Digimon Emperor in 02. Champion with dedication to Gunslinger are the first classes that come to mind. Though I'm not sure if that would be my final choice for a build. One of the Lizardfolk’s Ancestry Feats let's them transform into a dinosaur, which is a good reference to Dinorexmon (another possible Agumon evolution).
