How to Fix a Leaking Toilet - Mansfield Tower Style Flush Valve - Under $2 Quick Fix!
I recently had to fix our leaky toilet and found a quick easy fix for less than $2! It was so much easier to fix than I anticipated and I wanted to share with you! Our toilet was losing water and was refilling every 20 minutes or so.
This Mansfield toilet we have is different than a lot of toilets that have a flapper style flush. This Mansfield toilet has a tower style flush valve that is a little different to fix than the flapper style. Still very easy and quick to fix!
Hopefully this video saves you some trouble if your toilet is losing water and needs to be fixed!

Thanks for emphasizing the need to constantly measure and use a level. I made a small table and just screwed it together thinking it would only be a couple millimetres out of level. And there was a half inch wobble in it. The legs will be completely different lengths if you don't measure as you go.

The better way is to paint in a U shape every time you touch the wall. I'm only painting that way for 10 years now and it always done real good job. Try it! Easy and fast! Let me explain: 1. Dip the Shure-line pad just a little down the tray; 2. Rub the edge of the tray to remove excess (this will produce uniformity to the pad); 3. Do not apply paint directly to the border; 4. Instead, apply further from the border; 5. Slide to the curb and slide 4 feet along it. 6. To remove the pad, slide away from the edge. This results in a U shape, where application and removal is done away from the edge. This prevents staining from application/removal. Have a easy and fast outline painting!

I tried this tool recently and I didn’t like it all. I don’t like how it drags across the wall and can still slip and touch the ceiling. I just taped it everything then used the roller as far as it would go in the corner and then did the small edge with a brush.

Use your brush to load the pad brushing off the edge. Don’t dip it. You need a brush anyway to get the inside corners. Don’t try to go too far with a load or it will apply too thinly. I use the tilted front edge to swipe down the ridge that tends to squeeze out of the back edge especially if rolling the field is lagging behind.

So the obvious line where it doesn’t reach the actual edge of the wall, I’m guessing you went back in and used a brush to fix that.
