Not entirely sure what this performance was for! It surely isn’t a practice as they wouldn’t be in costume and makeup, so I’m guessing it’s a private exhibition for French TV. I’ve had to overdub the music from worlds onto this, hence the crowd clapping at points, hope I synced it up right! This offers a nice new POV to Barnum, mostly from the judges!

Russia (that time USSR) litterally stole their golden medal in 1984 OG. As well ad Yuna KIM's gold medal in Sochi 2014 OG. Very good at stealing things these Russian dudes....
I dont like this version of th Rhumba as much as the others.

Je les admire aussi. Il y a de quoi! Jayne Torwill est très féminine. Christopher Dean est idéal dans le rôle de chevalier servant. Tous deux sont la grâce incarnée.

Ce paso doble enfiévré est éclatant. Une grâce unique. Une patte incomparable.
Un M. Dean toreador flamboyant rempli de morgue comme sait l'être un véritable hidalgo espagnol. Il manie sa cape Jayne d'une manière noble et resplendissante. Il a du style et une sacrée fougue. Elle a du répondant et joue jeu égal avec lui. Un pasodoble endiablé qui nous en met plein les mirettes. Deux danseurs sur glace exceptionnels.
Ce couple britannique Torwill et Dean, adorable et doué, méritait beaucoup mieux. Ils ont été mal notés. De vraies peaux de vaches ces juges!
There are certain aspects of their skating here that are far superior to the top 3 teams. But there were still a work in progress at this time. They improved exponentially the following season which is why they shot up to #1.

This is almost exactly the same routine, same music, as their 1994 original dance they skated during that Olympic year when they won the Bronze medal.

When they skate they make it look like they are dancing.
What beautiful dancers, especially him, they match so well on ice. . Amazing They make me think of the other revolutionnary ice dance team, Papadakis and Cizeron. Both team match like no one else, in both teams, the male dancer is outstanding, and also à choreaph. They both bring light on ice dance. I just hope that we won't have to wait another forty years ' time to watch a team whose partners perform gorgiously, not only technically, but also, with beauty, émotion, art, so well connected 🎉🎉
They set the bar so high in figure skating for that time it was insane. Truely magnificent
Their musicality never fails to astound me. Utter brilliance.
