Noisy Replacement Expansion Vessel - After Plumber's 5th Visit
I have the same issue and I think it’s the expansion vessel.
Hello which bass amp do you use?
Sorry to ask this but they’ve discontinued the Us600 Behringer and now any on the market cost similar to the pog do you think you could find another alternative
We have the exact same issue. Never happened until the water pump and EV was installed to pressurise the whole system (pump only pressurised the shower before. Makes a noise only after the hot water has been heated and is INSANELY LOUT. Ensured the pressure is correct. Still no joy. Looks like we'll have to replace the EV also.
Nice explanation that is also applicable to guitarists and keyboard players too. Nice. Thanks :)
Awesome 👏👏👏
Hey, I've been watching all your channel videos, I'm thinking of buying a setup like this, but in thomman cannot find the Beringer I guess it is no longer avaliable, do you still recommend this one as a cheap option to the micro POG or do you know any other one?
Have you found any other good alternatives for the POG? Joyo released a octaver some time ago, named R-13 / XVI, seems promising but I'm not sure how it sounds on bass.
What the name of this song?
These are both Muse songs. The intro and solo is from The Handler, the song after is from Stockholm Syndrome.
wish i could discover these songs for the first time again too
mike uses a pick
Is there any chance you could incorporate the boss katana 110 , 210 to play Royal blood through the 1 amp.
Hey man, love your videos, but quite question, how do you record all this? Do you just mic up the amps but is there a way you can do it straight into a DI?
I can’t get how they use a tuner to get back to the dry…
Very cool video & great explanation 🤘
That was awesome! A lot of practice surely
bass players hate this vid
Nice one! Ashdown gang
Awesome job, great sounds! I am currently shopping for an ABY pedal and I have a question. Do you hear the Switchblade+ clicks/pops in your amp, or is that just the sound from the camera? The sound is really obvious and makes for a good video, but I wouldn't want that sound in my actual signal. Can you confirm how noisy the switches are?
Do you think you could replicate this with a guitar?
Is the latency tolerable on the POG, mate?
I have everything I need at my house to do that lol
Great explanation, nice one.
Sound identical! 🤩👋
epic
lol is it bad im still confused 😢 ??
I didn’t like the phony sound of either, and instead bought the Pitch Fork.
Cool vid. So, these two loops can be mixed together, but they can’t be mixed with the raw input signal? It’s only loops or raw input? Right? Thnxx brother ❤
once i get my hands on a switchblade+ im going to use 3 amps im already using 2 but my brother is a guitarist and he has a fender tube amp and i have a fender mustang III so im going to make outputs a and b to go to the guitar amps i hope i can get an octaver to go to both signals output a will go to the mustang III and that will be my distorted guitar tone output b will be my clean guitar tone and the tuner out will go to a tuner that goes to bass amp to mute the bass so with a switchblade plus my rig will go to max level just because i can my pedalboard will be a lot more complicated than these 2 pedals
The groove
can i ask? can do this with guitar?
Great trick! I know it's an old video and I don't expect you to reply, but in case you see this message: in this configuration (attached to the LS2), can I still use the tuner for what it is without making noise (like when it's used alone)?
Thank Umberto :) in this configuration, the tuner would kill the bass signal and the guitar signal would keep playing, so no it wouldn't work to silencing it all. You could either put another pedal before the LS2 to kill the sound (another tuner / whatever), or you could dial the LS2 to use the B channel only (using the specific setting), and then you'd be able to just have the B signal, which the tuner would silence. Not ideal I know. How that helps at least :)
@@AlexanderWright Thanks for your feedback! I was suspecting this, but ehy, switching the LS-2 mode as you said wouldn't be a big deal for tuning ;) Cool, and BTW I am using this configuration and it really gives a boost! Thanks for sharing.
@@umberto3140 yeah, like most things with bass, unfortunately the answer is buy more pedals :) glad you're having fun with the setup - I still use it to this day!

I'd actually fuck my own mother in law to see this top shizer

Thanks! :) Haha yeah I'd made a placeholder graphic for each album and forgot to update it for Reapers! 😅
Pog from ehx ain't cheap
You're not wrong! Shame they discontinued the US600 as it was one of the only half decent budget pedals that could shift +1 octaves on bass...
My exspantion tank has completely rusted underneath on the brass connection to pipe, and leaked all onto the main tank 😬
Why not try a 3 pedal 1amp on the cheap Vox stomplab, tweaking one of the rock presets, there's a number of distortion pedals in there , a number of amps and cabinets to choose from and Most importantly a pitch shifter. That should take care of the guitar side of things Plug in the boss LS2 to split the Chanel and use a tuner as a kill switch.
Great idea! I originally tried to avoid multi FX to keep things simple but (in terms of 1 pedal = 1 effect). I would love to try a whole solution in a box though...
Is it possible to add a Boss LS-2 and use it with only one amp ?
Yes it is! Have a look at my video on it here: czcams.com/video/ouaHxAF5TkU/video.html
Davie ever reply to this? That was cool!
Thanks! :) I sent him a message to say it was submitted - he replied with "Nice one :)" so I'm not sure if that was an auto reply XD
Alex, you've almost played all my favorite Muse songs. The only thing missing was Plug in Baby. Thanks!
Haha, glad you liked it :) Yeah plug in baby slipped off my radar because the most iconic thing about it is the guitar riff - I should have put it in though because the bass is great in its own right. Also with the new album out, there's probably a few more missing now ;)
Cool! Usually, when a new unusual bass guitar gets into my hands, I play Feel Good Inc from Gorillaz or Revolt or Muscle Museum from Muse. ;)
Excellent choices :)
I think ABY pedal is better version than tuner. Because now you can switch off both guitar and bass channels.
Absolutely - the one with the tuner is okay if you are just messing around, but not being able to play bass on its own is a bit silly. It also means you don't need to use the Micro POG (since it has 2 outputs that are no longer needed)
@@AlexanderWright, Yes, a POG or some kind of pitch shifter with two outputs is not required, you can use simple octaver. The main thing is that it should be able to do an "octave up"
Alexander, thank you for the video! And for the previous two ("2 pedals 2 amplifiers" and "4 pedals 1 amplifier"). Other CZcamsrs, in my opinion, have overcomplicated their set-ups "like Royal Blood". (One has a cool expensive guitar processor with a bunch of SEND-RETURN loops, and connected to it: 2 octavers, an equalizer, 2 distortion and some pedal that I can't identificate :) ) You have both options technically simple and inexpensive, so that almost anyone in their country could repeat, if not on these pedals so on similar ones. If need to choose which one is better, then I like the first option more because of the two amps, in the second version there is only one amp and it does not give out all the guitar frequencies. But there is Muff there. I wanted to ask: what if "mini POG" is replaced with "EHX Pitch Fork+"? There are also 3 voices on this pedal (one is clean and two pitches are tuned). You can additionally make one of the tunable voices "one octave up" and the second - "P5 interval" for a denser "guitar" sound.
Thanks for the kind words Mr Owl! Knowing I've helped people out makes it all worthwhile :) I haven't used a Pitchfork myself but I have heard great things about them, and being able to add in the 5th interval is something I would be very interested in. I would guess that the pitchfork would be more useful than the POG if you wanted to use it specifically for Royal Blood style playing. The only thing to note is that it doesn't have two outputs, so you would need to split the signal using a different pedal (like the ABY pedals or Boss LS2).
@@AlexanderWright , Yes, Pitch Fork has one output and you need to put an ABY pedal in front of it. But I meant Pitch Fork + (or Pitch Fork Plus). This is the same PItch Fork but with two independent pitch shifters and two outputs. Moreover, it has a flexible routing system and you can configure which signal will go through which output.
@@MrOwl888 oh wow I hadn't even seen that one before - it looks like it has a lot of great features all in one pedal! Also has an expression pedal socket so could potentially do some whammy pitch shifting or blending the signals on the fly. Very impressive
Thank you! Finally!
great! I used to do the same with my TU-3, but try a latch switch, you’ll save some energy 😬
That's a great idea! Although this is the only song that I play that requires this kind of quick switching so I'm happy to spend the energy. ... aaaaaaaand you've made me want to get one now!
One Question With that pedal would i put my compression pedal before it so Compression LS2 Path A Distortion and Fuzz Path B Clean or Octave Synth. The both come back to the LS2 the out to a Sans Amp then from the Sans Amp to a Chorus Delay from there to front of a Mesa Boogie Subway D800+ everything at 12 o clock on the Mesa Boogie and DI out to House? Would that be the right way just trying to understand this its new to me. thank you for taking the time with the video.
Hi Garrett! That sounds like the way I would do it but I would also consider how I want dynamics to be a part of my sound. By putting it before the LS2 you are sending a compressed signal to both channels, so your dirty and clean channels will be consistent with each other in that respect. Distortion and Fuzz pretty much compress the signal anyway but it depends on want to achieve for your sound. For what it's worth, what you propose is what I would do :) Hope that helps!
@@AlexanderWright yeah I think I get it cause compression is more for distortion and fuzz so I’d probably want to put it at the beginning of that loop and the natural loop leave uncompressed?
@@canadianguitar-garrettont7368 yes exactly but it's all about preference - if you have it before the LS2 then your signals will be more consistent with each other but that doesn't leave much room for using dynamics in the clean bass channel. Having said that if you're using distortion in parallel, then it's probably going to end up loud either way! :)
Hi Alex, do you have an email? =) Would love to ask you a couple questions on your sound.
Hi Nick, assuming you've emailed my account that's in the about section on my video? You should have got a reply a few weeks ago now :)
Can I do this and have the guitar sound go to guitar amp and bass through bass amp?
Yes absolutely, and you can do it cheaper with an ABY pedal rather than the LS2. Check out my demo here: czcams.com/video/yArjQRJqUTI/video.html
Hi Alex great vid thanks for sharing. Which would be better a GEB-7 or a GE-7 for an EQ pedal for this setup. Also what would sound better (2) 150 watt fender rumble or one rumble and one fender deluxe 85 guitar amp.
Hi Daniel, if you are wanting to EQ the fake guitar signal only then I would get the GE7, but from a practical point of view, if you wanted to EQ your bass without this setup in the future, then I would probably get the GEB7 to be more flexible. The main difference between the pedals is that the GEB7 gives you a wider set of EQ bands, going from 40Hz to 10KHz, but the guitar has a narrower set going from 100Hz to 6.4KHz, giving you control over a more focused range associated with guitar frequencies. To be honest, I personally don't bother with any EQ pedal because if you're using a guitar amp, you'll have EQ there anyway :) Amps-wise - for dual amp setup I would definitely get one bass and one guitar amp, simply to give you more tonal variety over the signal, and the fake guitar will sound more guitar-like. Also added bonus if you have a guitarist you want to jam with, they can come and play round without having to bring theirs. Hope that helps! :)
Wich is your bass tunning? Greetings from mexico
Hola Humberto! The bass is in standard 5 string tuning, which just adds a low B string - so it's B E A D G. I actually don't use the B string in Figure it Out because it's in standard tuning anyway :)
