Great info. Do you have a vid on balancing the loads in a sub panel. I'm installing a sub panel in detached garage. I'm using a 125 panel with a main shut off and the feed breaker from the main panel is 80 amp. I have 7 circuits. 2 - 15 amp one for fans, one for overhead lighting. 1 - 20 amp for exterior lighting and 1 exterior outlet. 3 - 20 amp for 3 interior outlet runs each with 4 receptacles (8 plugins) 1 - 30 A 240 outlet. I figured 2 - 15 A. 1- 20 A on black, 3 - 20A and the 30 A 240 on the red. However, the 240 will be used modestly for welder. All receptacles will be used for fabrication like grinders and or saws, small compressor, shop radio etc. Thoughts ? Thanks !

All circular saw blades have carbide on the tip of the teeth. They generally fall into one of 3 categories 1) wood cutting 2) non wood material cutting 3) multimaterial (cutting wood and some non wood materials). If your cutting wood and only wood buy a wood blade. Multimaterial blades will cut wood but will dull faster bc it's only partially optimized for wood cutting. If you're an electrician and you have to cut drywall that is already on the wall, the best tool for that is a jigsaw with a blade that is cut off to a length to match the thickness of the drywall you are cutting. That way the blade is just long enough to cut through the drywall thickness and not cut electrical cable that might be past the drywall. A multitool is good to have also for cutting out corners/edge of drywall. Drywall cut out routers cut very fast but they kick up enormous amounts of dust and the bit will snap every time you hit a nail/screw that fastens the drywall to the stud. Jigsaw and multitool combination is a great way to handle cutting drywall that is already hung.

Hey man, thank you so much for all of the valuable info on your channel. I’m a coffee tech (espresso machines, commercial brewers, etc) so we basically need to be baby plumbers, baby mechanics, and baby electricians. The electrical side of things is always where I felt the least comfortable, but your videos really helped me step up and feel like I have a handle on what previously felt like black magic.

To be honest whilst there maybe many out there that need some "coaching" on this subject and regardless of theory, relative reactance and safety issues absolutely no one incurs extra expense on un-necessary infrastructure be it rebar or neutral conductors.

So when do we use the ones that have the pigtail vs the ones that are plug on neutral without the pigtail? I have 2 20amp Dual functionCAFCI & GFCI, one for each side of my kitchen and I’m told fridge should not be on my of these protections due to minor faults being an annoyance trip and food spillage? Am I understanding this correctly?

You can only use the plug on neutral ones if your panel has the plug on neutral busbars

  • @chaser9363

You didn't use the wire nut properly. You're supposed to keep twisting the wire nut until there's 2 to 3 twists in the insulation below the bottom of the wire nut. Plus it would be a whole lot more effective if you use the wire nut driver that comes in the bag of wire nuts. 🤔 🤦‍♂️
