Sooo glad i came across your video. I have been trying to get someone to braid my hair before i go into labor and who knew it would be me as i was turned down because of my legnth. Im not a braider at all but your video helped me do wonders. Everything said was so true. Took 4 days but i managed to finish and it looks good. Thank you ❤

Stop oiling your scalp. It feeds the yeast. Oil hair when needed. Mist scalp with a few drops tea tree and water in that sprayer to sooth.

I Felt You When You Said I've Combed Out Plenty of Locs In my Life time being that I too have Combed out 3 Sets of Sister Locs , yes Sister Locs and One Set of Mini Locs All Since 2018 lol I never Knew patience Before till then and I have Not problem Doing it again if I Have too lol Good Luck Brittany

You did a great job....It's looks healthy...That's important. I'm kinda in the same boat...At a crossroads with my hair. Can't continue to wear headwraps everyday, plus it's getting warmer here in NC. I would love to twist my hair, but I have too much breakage. Some areas of my hair are long and some are shorter. It may look remotely cute the first day, but since I have so much breakage it doesn't retain moist for very long. My best would be a haircut...Another Big chop.

You just gave me hope, because my hair is falling out and just refuses to grow I can't braid my own hair so im struggling, everyone charge so much money now!!! Gotta save up for months just to afford it lol

I have the Dyson airwrap- it's a lifesaver. I'm an extremely lazy natural, so I blow dry weekly and just oil my ends to prevent breakage and leave it alone until washday. Sometimes when I feel like it, i do twist, but my hair retains a lot of length this way, and Im no longer a product junky.

After watching this ain't no hair braider will dare to say my hair is to short.😂

I was looking for a little insight on how to box braid my very short pixie that im now growing out to braid up by the end of June bc i have a fam reunion coming up in July. (i did a big chop💇🏽‍♀️ 2nd march '24) My curiosity was picked by a vid you did 4yrs ago w/an inside caption "from nothing to something" popped up immediately. I'm very impressed with how beautiful your braids looked. With this said, thx for the extra ummmph i needed to be able to do this myself bc I was teetering btwn paying someone $500+ for 8-10 hours of pain due to my SERIOUSLY tender head. 😬 Again, thx for the video. Have you or anyone in the comments had catbutt ear(s) and found a way to minimize the appearance and/or has any progress?

My hair absorbs water fast but takes days to dry. So I'm like you I don't know if my hair is high or low porosity.

What edge control do you use?

Me 🤚🏾 I developed allergies exactly at 25 😂😂😂 I got pregnant and had my daughter at 25 and acquired allergies out of nowhere 😮

Did you do the porosity test with a freshly washed strand of hair (with no product)?
