I'm getting my hair done this coming week and although I have a very special reason for doing my hair in locks, not heading is one of the benefits I am soooo looking forward to!!! I have three cats and I feel like I'm in competition with them to see who sheds the most😂. I have baby fine straight hair and have been doing research for about two months while looking for a loctician. So I think I'm ready for this journey to really get started. I watched your video on 11 things you wished you knew before getting dreads and I think I have those bases all covered, but I loved hearing your thoughts on the important things to know. I'm turning 65 in two months so this is really going to be interesting. I've told all my friends and so far have had support from them. I'll keep watching your videos for more tips and ideas.😊

I grew my hair to my knees and my locs shank all the way up to my shoulders like your length!! Crazy journey but soooo worth it! I'm rocking it natural because it's about less is more. You look beautiful natural!!! Patience is key when doing this and accepting the good, bad and ugly that comes with it. Love and light!! Keep rocking that shit girlfriend!!❤

Nice job on the video and dread journey,I love how your husband helped you section which is my biggest concern to start my dreadlock journey. I've always loved the look of dreads but never thought I could have them. I have thin hair and I've bleached it for years. Naturally its strawberry blonde. I'm trying to leave it alone, not use too much heat,ect. because I pretty much have my mind made up to do them, however its overwhelming watching all the videos and seeing all the methods ,synthetic, extensions . My hair is only about 3 or 4 inches long so I would need extensions. I'm going to try the braid in method with human hair extensions first just to get the feel for them and get my hair to grow out a bit and then eventually dread my hair using your method. I'm trying to get my hubby to help with the sectioning I dont really want to pay someone when I think I can do myself but it will take me forever. Any suggestions or advise would be great:) I will have them one day ,I am determined! I think this is the look for me ,and to finally have the style I've admired for years. Maybe will finally get the volume I've never had.

If you don't have the money for a lint free towel just use a big cotton tshirt, i use two at the same time because dreads absorb a lot of water 😂 and you can use some old ones or go to a thrift shop and buy the ones that are the old thick cotton 😉

Did Bear stay the same color? Like Bear, our morkie, Oliver was black and tan when he was a puppy. Full grown he was blond and silver gray.
