Great vid thanks mate. I have a HDS live 9 with a AI 3in1. I fish coastal flats and reef 20' up to 200' here in Australia. Will this skimmer show clear bottom definition when doing 25mph looking for new ground. The 3in1 works great at low speeds and at rest but looking for a cost effective option to find new ground while travelling or would an Airmar TM 150 be an option in your opinion ? thanks

I got download error, i have 2 micro sd cards in my unit. I think they are both higher than 32gb I have some mapping kn the lake i dont want to remove the mapping card, any idea whitch card has the mapping on it? I noticed somtimes my mapping is not saving is that a update problem or a sd card problem. Graph is a hds 9 live

You might as well not buy any tackle if that's the case. There's only so much innovation to be had in this industry. It's like saying one company came up with a 5" senko and when another does it they are ripping them off. It's not any different and this has been going on forever in fishing tackle. With all those lures that you stated that all these companies have, what makes this any different? When someone discovered that fish eat live bait and other fisherman did the same, nobody said anything about ethics😂😂

Hey man , great video great information, i have a question for you, i just removed my screw hull transducer on my 2009 Ranger and capped it, i have a lowrance ti2 elite & hds live at my console and have the 3/1 transducer not installed yet , Now my questions are : to have my high speed reading should i have the lowrance puck that i glue to the bottom of the hull ? If this is correct which model would you suggest me ? As for getting the side imaging im guessing the 3/1 should do the job, would you have a video of the proper install if it ? Thanks again man

Great, easy to follow and helpful video. I went on the water today and randomly both my depth and water temp display were --. Sure enough this issue was exactly as you described.

I think you forgot one major spot to check and that is if someone or computer shut down the sonar right at the power switch. Have had that happen a couple of times, not having done it myself. Aren't computers great?

new boat, new elite fs 9. sonar and downscan work fine but after cruising the signal goes to reading 2feet and not showing much even though in well over 20 feet of water....hope this suggestion fixes the problem

you made everything relatively easy for this old man to learn and navigate my way around the birds, just one question for now, I am sharing my quest built-in si & di from one unit to the next. what is the correct ducer setting from the slave unit not hooked to the quest?

I used to have a carbon and could and had 2d while on plane. I just got a live installed by someone. Do I have to get a new transducer to be able to see 2d on plan again?

This doesn’t seem to apply to the value menu like the Hook2. Lost my depth and Down scan. Still show noise on top of sonar page and water temp? Any advice besides buying a new unit?

If anyone else finds the bobin hard to get out, I just rinsed it with water which dissolved the rest of the material and made it easy to get out.

I own both Garmin and two hds live units and the Garmin is a pleasure to use. The hds Live units are 4 years old and they are frustrating to work with. Over complicated and absolutely zero support from Lowrance. Takes 4-5 days to get a reply via e-mail and no phone contact. It's beyond me why anyone would own Lowrance .

Ease of use and cost goes to lakemaster without a doubt. Theres a couple features that Garmin does better but with Garmin its a massive headache to set up, you pay up front, and then you also have to pay for a subscription yearly. If you have a marine electionics tech, a bank account full of money, and do charters then the garmin is the way to go. If you're somebody that want some cool features and good info on fishing then get the lakemaster with smartstrike. Garmin overcomplicated everything at a much higher cost. We're tired of paying for subscriptions to use something we already purchased. Like satellite imaging over maps, shouldn't require a subscription. I can understand charging to update everything but not a subscription for features that could/will work without being subscription based.

You da man thanks a lot. Couldn’t select depth in chart overlay settings only could on 2D sonar. I just purchased this elite FS 9 and nothing but problems from navico. First was faulty and now they send me a refurbished unit for a brand new unit smh. Have to call tomorrow and find out why this is.

Help! I have an HDS9 and I can’t get it to find the depth. I tried a soft reset with no luck. I can’t tell what model of 3 in 1 transducer I have to see if that’s the issue. Lowrance makes it impossible to find basic info

If I am fishing a lake that goes to 210ft but i never fish over 30 ft what should the depth palate be set at? 40 to 50ft?

This was exactly what I needed, solved my problem! 2D sonar was blank and was showing 1,000+ feet for depth. I needed to select the right source and that's all it took. I also fixed my GPS source to the trolling motor thanks to these videos. Great series and underrated channel.

Called minnkota today and was told the motor option is only for the newest generation motors. I have a 2021 terrova with ipilot link and was told that it will not work with one boat network. Dissapointed with that. I do have the ipilot link app i can use but it doesn't have near the capabilities this has. And when are they going to put a backlight on the ipilot link buutons remote so you can see the buttons at night.

So if you're using the mask with a 40 degree setting and now you want to use a zero degree, straight down setting, do you remove the mask?
