The sweatiest job on a farm is stacking hay bales in a barn in summer! I remember scooping corn into the auger until my back was so sore I couldn't stand upright!

Wow... condolences. What a lot of folks won't realize is that work on the farm never stops for anything. Oh sure, they can maybe take a couple of days off but someone still has to be there to care for the animals and anything else that is a daily chore that can't not be done. I'm not sure if that makes grief worse or not... Rest in Piece Papa Curt!

I've done 120 mph in a 1967 Pontiac and 12 mph on a John Deere 850. The John Deer was more exciting.

We got 36" of rain in less than 3:weeks. Crops totally destroyed as well as severe loss of soil. My 97 year old uncle, said droughts are better than floods. I now agree.
