- Happy Friday!! Welcome back, I'm so happy to have you on the farm with me today. Today is a good one. Join me as we accomplish a very sweaty but very satisfying job on the farm. We are sweeping out a bin and hauling last year's corn into town to be sold! This task is completed using a series of augers and manual labor over the course of 3 days. This is a team effort. I'm so glad I have Grant and Gage...we make a great team! Please comment any questions you have down below! What do you think of a longer video? Is this a job you've done before? Would you sweep out a grain bin with me?

I drive by your Fields twice a day driving a company semi, it's good to see an accurate portrayal of farming life. The actual economics of commercial agriculture has very thin margins, but in true farmer fashion, you are doing what you can with what you have and upgrading as you go. I applaud your endeavor and tenacity. Please stay safe and happy
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Accurate????? haha
Odd. I see a green screen glitch and loads of Ai used.
These are the kind of videos to explain why you have so many subscribers. This shows discipline in work, management of a task, willingness to do the hard stuff, versatility in doing many different things,.... Great video, keep up the good work!
👍👍👍👍
If you do a good job, you might meet the farmer's daughter and have a chance to earn the affections of a gem like her. Her personality is far beyond her looks. Watch Leaad farms channel to meet her folks.
The wing window is by far one of the most underrated accessories in the automotive industry. It's so sad they did away with them.
And to whoever is in charge of cup holders...... may your coffee always be cold and ice always hot.
😁😁😁😁😁😁
Thank you for producing content that is 'safe' watching guaranteed for the whole family, and without feeling the need to make dramas and create adrenaline rushes. I love the peace and competence! X
You just described my goal!! Thank you for watching :)
Dear Laura, your presence, personality and beautiful smile are so amazing, inspiring and heartwarming. Thank you for being who you are and thank you for the opportunity to see your fantastic work.🌹
😁😁😁😁😁😁
The corn dust all over you shows what Granny Laura may look like some day.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
What did I learn today? There is nothing more enjoyable to watch then a happy team working together at a task that may not be their favorite, but is equally important as any other. This is way more riveting than any sitcom on TV. Love following your life farming!
❤❤❤❤
Nice to see a r95 dust mask on Laura in the grain elevator. A respirator would be much safer. I've known farm workers and farmers that have died slow agonizing deaths from lung disease. I'm hoping the people in this video know more about it than I do and that they will be just fine.
Your videos should be shown in schools for career days, give kids an idea of what a real rewarding job is. The ups and downs and how you cope. If anything, they will learn where their food comes from. You are verry good at explaining what you do.
I would think every job is rewarding.
I grew up on a farm and although it was rewarding, it's also a back breaking adventure that I would never repeat since I am retired from the farm I don't get around to much anymore but back when I was doing it we didn't have any of the fancy stuff today
Larson farms maybe ,more realism in 20 seconds ,and no pretentious rubbish.
You may still be young, but you are already one incredible woman. Our country would do well to have many many more of you. Thanks for the videos. You show most of us a side to life we don't ever get to see.
❤❤❤❤
Just watched a SCARY video for farmers in Idaho. They're being forced to stop watering their already planted crops. Guaranteeing total losses. Government enforcing a watering "curtailment," thank the heavens for your rain! I can't imagine knowing you just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on fertilizing, tilling, prepping and seeding, just to be told you have to sit back and watch it fail! What a heartbreaking loss for those family farmers! The Idaho government surely could have either waited to the end of harvest, or BEFORE the planting season. What a huge mess they've created, seemingly on purpose.
More farms, less government.
Thank the Republican stronghold of Idaho... they control the entire state!
Hardworking, nurrishing humanity, lovely young individuals! Live well for ever!!
❤❤❤❤
I am not a farmer but got to work at a grain elevator with my Dad for a while . That was the best job I ever had . I loved going out to all the farms and delivering feed to the best people in the country. You guys are Rockstar in my book ! I love watching you videos because it takes me back (way back) to my youth . You have all my best wishes .
Great video from great people. Thank you Laura Grant and Case for showing the world what farming is all about. We all see corn growing in the fields but have no idea about all the hard work it takes to plant harvest and get to market. The farmers of America don’t get the credit they deserve for keeping America going. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Much love
❤❤❤❤
Pepper's a great mascot for your show.
Thanks for the ride along. Have a Awesome day.
😁😁😁😁
I had no idea the amount of work it entails to clean out a grain bin. It was an enjoyable and informative video about your farm life.
❤❤❤❤
your grandpa would be so proud, watched how his funeral affected you . I don't through my feet over the seat either. I'm a 70 year old and cleaned out more bins than i want to know. for 50 years, thinks like this are never known unless you where there.
Laura you seem to embrace framing, ever part of farming . I would love to see you and grant do this in real life. your channel is the real deal keep doing it .I shouldn't need to watch farming, you and grant are the best team i have ever seen. Keep it up I love you both.
I don't know why but I really look forward to you posting your videos. I'm a retired Marine and have never worked on a farm but I enjoy watching your videos more than some of the other sites I subscribe too.
👍👍👍👍
Every time you post makes our day. Best to Grant, Gage and Pepper.
I love the LONGER video. Please keep them coming Laura!!!!
👍👍👍👍
I know you are young but I have to say, you give us older folks hope for a future America that our grandchildren will inherit.Keep on being you. Don't change a thing!
Running a sweep auger and cleaning out a grain bin is definitely a tedious task but when all done is so rewarding in more ways than one. That was one of my first jobs on the farm back when I was 8 years old (1977) and I started learning what hard work was. You are a go getter. Gage seems to be a perfect fit for your farm operation and is ambitious.
Thank you for showing how farming is and that you are showing where things come from so people don't think that things don't just magically appear in stores!!!
😜😜😜😜
There will always be those who think everything magically appears in stores. There's no help for those folks.
They make ethanol.
Nothing better to finish a working day petting a purring cat, let alone a Pepper purring one🙂 It has a calming effect on people, and carries a healing frequency of 170Hz! Nice job done by the farming trio on Laura farms.
Grant - A project for you - build a cup holder for Laura that she can place on the floor of the truck. I am sure she would be greatful!
A roll of duct tape works just fine for a cup holder on the floor in those!!
I like watching all the progress and growth not only of the farm and home but of you, Grant and Gage. Please keep it up.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am not sure what Gage has in mind for his career future. But I could see him going for a trade school. Something like mechanics, fabrication, welding, or something agricultural related. So he could potentially be there even longer if the pay matches his certification level I am sure. You guys treat him like he is your own son. The respect and kindness you give him. May keep him there for a lifetime. Laura and Grant you are the boss that everyone deserves 💯
We got 36" of rain in less than 3:weeks. Crops totally destroyed as well as severe loss of soil. My 97 year old uncle, said droughts are better than floods. I now agree.
Where you farming?
I really enjoy your content. I miss the connection I had with farming when I was a kid. My family members that farmed have all passed away, your videos bring back some of that connection I had with agriculture. I've learned so much from you.
👍👍👍👍
Never been a farmer but I love Laura's videos!
👍👍
I love it when you do your posts when I come into the house for dinner (I'm a farmer like you two; and I don't say "lunch" for the noon meal) so I can watch your video while I eat. Made many trips, myself, hauling my grain to the Mississippi River terminals to the east of my farm. Have also hauled corn to the ethanol plant east of Macon, MO; and recognize the ethanol plant you're hauling to west of town on US34. Actually, and as usual, I, WAS, "happier" at the end of your video.
CZcams videos over lunch is what we do too!
Great videos love the cat I would have thought a better respitator when you are in the bins
😜😜😜😜😜😜
That was really great footage on the massive job of getting the corn from the bens into the semi trailer. Love your attitude, patience, safety concerns, and overall consideration of your farm, family, animals, and everyone you come in contact with during your work day! ❤😊 So educational and entertaining.
Your Dad let me ride with him in the sprayer on Monday. That was so much fun! Riding with you in the combine a few years ago was also a blast! I get to see your perspective on occasion, so I love that.
There are still a gazillion things on the farm that I have not experienced yet….so, anytime you or Cale can take me along, I’m up for that. Riding in the semi to unload beans or corn would be really cool 😉. I still haven’t ridden in the tractor 🚜 yet either. It’s so wonderful to have talented knowledgeable farmers leading this family 🥰
Love you to pieces!!! Grammy
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your yard looks amazing, so very plush, thick, and filled out. Great job y’all. Glad to see the Free Ranging Super Chickens. 👍😂✌️
Thank you so much!!!
😍😍
You all make it fun to come along for the ride.
My days in grain bins were my least favorite. I felt gritty and sticky for a week afterwards. The milo bins were the worst.
Being a farm/ranch we had a wide variety of jobs to do. My favorite was going around and checking on our cattle. We had pastures in 2 countries, and a couple thousand head of Angus. Tending the cattle was a 7 day a week job.
We had alfalfa, Prarie hay, wheat, milo and sorghum for crops.
Still, to this day, it is my favorite job, even with all of the work and hours.
❤❤❤❤
Who could ask for more! Laura showing us the different jobs on the farm. Nice to see you are still managing to receive some income this time of the year.
Love from Mike. ❤
👍👍
Nice to see young ambitious people taking care of business and working hard to achieve their goals. Gives us all hope for another generation of farmers to feed America. Good job and blessings for another good year.
Farming requires a lot of skill, working machinery, and luck with the weather, but at the end of the day it still involves a lot of manual labor in some trying conditions. Well done any have a great weekend!
Hello! If you're grain bin has a blade type dryer blower I recommend you install a reversing switch on the fan motor. Running the fan in reverse when you are inside the bin pulls the dust down and also pulls fresh air into the bin where you are working.
If axial flow 3 phase just swap any 2 wires of the 3 phase or if single phase unbolt the fan and reverse the entire fan and one more item please wear a quality mask, your lungs are very precious. This is 48 years of experience .
A single phase motor can be easily reversed by installing a properly wired DPDT 2 position toggle switch wired into lead numbers 5 and 8. Just don't switch it during the first few seconds of start-up.
👍👍👍👍👍👍😍😍
You did very good girl. I've been a truck driver over 40 years. I haul asphalt. Anyway, when you drive in to a tunnel like that, look straight out the other end of that tunnel. Trust yourself. You'll be centered. Also, nice job shifting without the clutch. I'm proud of you. Thanks for the videos. Have fun.that one
The sweeper is a new addition to the clean up tools. I like it ❤
👍👍👍👍
Look at you girl floating the gears and Jaking. I have 49 yrs and about 4 million miles behind me. And the work side of it well you got me there. No way at 68 we don't have that manual labor thing. I love you guys keep them coming I look forward to watching them.
Brings back memories. I no longer store grain, just haul it straight to town and let them dry and store it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
You and Grant are awesome farmers, and I must stay awesome people. Laura you are a smart, skilled, empowered and caring woman. You are a great example to other women in today's turbulent world. Keep going strong I believe you are making a difference greater than you know!!!!
Great job Laura when you go under your tractor make sure you turn off the ignition because the radar Units in the centre of the transmission will damage your eyes keep on the grey work
You guys give me hope our world is in good hands your work ethic and attitude are amazing
I've driven over 40 years and considering you don't get near the miles I do, I think you do a pretty darn good job driving. I think I'd enjoy hauling corn and beans, I like the idea of the bottom dump looks like fun. In my mind it's like playing with a big tonka truck it' just that enjoyable of a job too me. Keep up the good work.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Two words, DUST MASK. I know farmers who have had lung damage from grain dust, be safe. Great video.
Ok, you redeemed yourself after watching whole video, you have your mask on. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Laura, as far as the rain goes, you know the phrase- don't look a gift horse in the mouth! My first time in Nebraska was in 1995; a few years ahead of your time. At the end of June that year, the Platte was still quiet high and Wyoming was GREEN!
SOMEONE, PLEASE GET THIS GIRL A BETTER AIR HORN!
I'm not a farmer but had family from McCook to Ceresco, NE. Fields look great. No stranger to wide-open spaces and love this part of the country. Thank you for all the HARD work you farmers put in, day after laborious day. God bless each and every one of you. Even Gage!
Sadly, mowing the yard while sipping ice tea, I was unable to watch as I went. My twin brother was emptying bins this week so I know the process.
I will compliment you on such a fine job of mixing your audio music, voices and video together. Audio is about 50% of a good video in my opinion.
Keep up the good work.
The Lord is Blessing you. He is blessing you guys right now
👍👍
Great camera work! ❤from Texas
Grant knows how to get views and subscribers
Thank you!
Seeing the inside of your Freightliner brought back memories. I used to install the upholstery in those trucks at the Portland manufacturing plant 25 years ago. The day cabs without the overhead console were always trickier because of the speakers in the corners.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Any day Laura posts a video of Nebraska farming is a great day. I thoroughly enjoy these teaching moments with the 3 of you. My back aches after watching you 3 sweep out the floor of the bin with the shovels. A job very nicely completed! Cheers and blessings from New Zealand, where it's getting colder and darker, David ❤💛💚
Is it me or does she just keep getting better looking & better looking. Great video!
I enjoy watching your vedios, so many people out there should watch and learn what it takes to do a job with excellents and great work ethics. The worst thing that ever comes out of your mouth during trying times is "Bummer Dude", that's so refreshing to hear!
Love that horn. Sounds like Popye the sailor man.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO LAURA AND GRANT ❤
Brand New here, retired Farmer also after 64 yrs..Great Video.TY
Great videos loved loading corn empty bins for seasons corn build muscle on your arms great truck driving😊
Sprinkling here now. It has been a wet and windy spring. NO complaints. I'm SW of Chicago ~40mi. I'm 75 and the only thing about the weather that concerns me has to do with bicycling 20-30miles/day. Gotta do something to keep out of trouble. I would LOVE to have worked on a farm. In HS and a couple of years thereafter I worked at Peterson Mfg and made all those universal dual tractor/combine wheels before JD and others started doing it themselves. Happy daze they were. Loved your video. You're a very pretty young lass. Keep it up and stay safe.
Laura, your guys worked your Fannie’s off! I see the dust on you are you are tired. We used to clean out my Dads chicken barn, 3 floors. After those years and then I went into the military? Military life was a delicious life!!!!!! Some Guys actually weeped, we farm boys were smiling and enjoying exercising and eating!!! You guys rock!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing and a glimpse into your world.
Grant how did you get so lucky to have the cutest truck driver around😂
👍👍👍👍👍👍
That's one of your best videos yet. Your showing the true work involved with farming and how hard it really gets. Besides seeing you in your true working conditions and covered in dirt making your hair look gray was just a little taste of what you heading for in a short time with life being so short. I love how patient Grant is with you just luring how to drive a truck. You did great for the first run in a while. Great video Lara and keep up the hard work.
A day in the life of my favorite farmers!!😊
Thanks for sharing and taking us along, Laura, Grant and Gage!
Great back ground music! 🎶👍🏽
Great show thanks for taking me along😊
Thank you miss Laura for all u do. You are sooo LOVED and definitely Blessed ... ✝️
Love you guys,Laura! The only thing worse than what you just did (as a teen I cleaned out many corn and grain bins) , is going underneath the pit where corn has leaked onto the underneath pit floor and has about 3 inches of water from heavy rains leaking on the floor. When the weather gets warmer, it becomes full of unbelievably stinking maggots, wiggling around and wearing knee high rubber boots, you have to use a shopvac and suck them up until the floor is dry!!!!! When you go back to the Quonset hut to eat lunch, none of the other farm hands want to sit at the lunch table with you! 😂
Thanks Laura.
Thank you for sharing your adventures of farming. Love it !.
Great video thanks for letting us tag along and share your work day
Growing up I cleaned our bin out every year and nothing beats that feeling when you climb out of that bin and that cool 85 degree breeze hits your skin😂
Thank-you for sharing! What an incredible life you guys have! God Bless
Great job laura Grant and Gage great job thank you for sharing and your time
Thank you! I absolutely enjoy your videos!
Great job
@ 19:30 put the belt on the small pully first, the larger one gives you tons more leverage to walk the belt on 👍😎✊
The horn had laughing out loud. So proud of what you are doing.
Just a lovely overall video - nice pace and full of activities. Just real work - Cheers.
Enjoyed the visit..ya'll got a bunch done in spite of the rain..
Good job team!!
C ya on the next video!
Preciate ya'll!!
👍🐺🧙♂️👌
Farm life is very productive and gratifying work and great for the soul and mental wellbeing! Great job showing what actually happens on farms. Thanks!
Thanks!
Excellent VIDEO,
from a mature young lady. ❤
The Lawn looks awesome and thick
That was super cool to see! I'm an electrician and the company that I work for did the electrical for a 170 ft grain bin for Frontier co-op near Plattsmouth recently, so I am familiar with many of the components you showed in this video.
Good morning Laura Farms ❤
Cleaning bins can be a chore sometimes. Especially cleaning the bin that has a cone bottom, that is sloped instead of flat metal to walk on is the worst cleaning. having a grain vac inside helps to clean while we clean the slopes on the cone bottom bins.
You folks put in some hard working time, I'm impressed.
Awesome,great video 👍👍👍👍
We do love your videos. Always learning something. Look forward to what's
ahead. Thank you Rosemary and Dave NS Canada.
WELL DONE AND INFORMATIVE AS USUAL. You have the best videos on YT.👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Farming is hard work! ... and you show your enjoyment of it!
Its like you and me that are true farmers to show what farmers do daily
It’s a great space to visit Laura. ❤
Wowzer your lawn is looking fabulous.
I did feel happier after your video! Thanks for taking us along! Nebraska is looking beautiful this time of year!
I liked this video and your job! Congratulations!
Been an Iowa boy all my life, but not on a farm. I really appreciate the way you explain everything. Keep rocking!
Awesome content, Laura. Just awesome! Love y’all!
