11 4 2 Ignores Shoulder Boundary
Testing FSD beta 11.4.2 today on a short torture course that caused problems for earlier versions. At 5:49, it barely made the transition into a left turn lane to enter an onramp to I-5, which earlier versions could not do. 11.4.2 has missed making this left turn before. At 7:57, the vehicle ignores the right white shoulder boundary and pulls over into the shoulder to make the next right turn. The flat shoulder ends at the intersection with a raised sidewalk, so I invervened and took control away from FSD beta. I saw similar behavior a day or so ago, so this is not a fluke.

Tesla Model X Door Body Gasket Replacement

By popular demand, I'm providing the process for replacing the door gasket on the body for the driver door of my MX. I went into this not knowing how to do this, but it turned out to be very easy. Thanks to the Tesla Service Center tech who shared a couple of tips on how to do this.

Next chapter of my exploration of FSD Beta 11.3.3. I wasn't expecting this behavior, especially when it followed the new path defined by the cones. This is the first time I've ever seen FSD Beta or its predecessors manage a traffic lane shift like this. That's the best part of what happened. As mentioned in the video, I've seen 11.3.3 do something similar recently. The vehicle on 11.3.3 tried t...
FSD Beta 1 3 3 Fails #2

Here are four more examples of performance problems with FSD beta 11.3.3. One of them involved near collisions with other vehicles at a busy intersection. I've also shown what I regard as a major problem with FSD beta, its inability to identify and react to school zone speed changes. This is a major safety violation, and very expensive traffic tickets will occur.

Installing Adjustable Rear Camber Arms On My Model X

Recently, I finished installing Unplugged Performance rear adjustable camber links on my MX, and it ended up as a multi-day effort with more work involved than I anticipated from the “instructions” available. The wiper arms are flat rods, so crescent wrenches easily fit them snugly to twist them. Pliers would tend to damage the flat rods & not grip them as well.

    Who did you use to have your alignment done and did they follow all the steps to raise and lower the suspension and measure the ride height and put it in jack mode to prevent the air suspension from adjusting while making adjustments to the front and rear of the MX? Raising and lowering the suspension has to be done outside the car so your weight doesn't affect the ride height. Tires Plus doesn't follow instructions so I want to know who will do it right before I purchase an adjustable camber kit. Did they make all of the alignment settings at the "Medium" air suspension ride height? None of the links in your description are no longer any good now, looks like Fix My Tesla removed them. Tesla has some instructions on performing the alignment on their service website. Thanks!

    • @treborg777
      @treborg777 Před 2 měsíci

      I don’t know how the alignment shop did it, but they do Teslas and were recommended by a local private shop that rebuilds Tesla Roadsters. I told them I drive in “Low” by default. When I torqued down the suspension bolts, I raised the hubs to the “Low” suspension height with respect to the body.

    Doing this will in no way solve the CAUSE of the issue. Your wiper arms did not get bent out of proper alignment. The BLADES take on a "set" that causes the issue. You aren't addressing the cause in any way whatever by bending the arms. Issue will resurface... you bend again... it resurfaces... you bend again..... eventually you could have your arms bent into a corkscrew and the issue will resurface because the issue is not with the arms.

    @rdealy94550 Před rokem

    Cool fix! The main cause of blade skipping, chattering is that wiper blades stop in a loaded position, having wiped the glass then stopped. In the loaded position heat and time change the angle of the blade especially in summer heat.. One of my cars has a lifted stopped position, reducing the load on the blade, preventing the chatter, extending the blade life. Solution, change the blades. Twisting the arm is a temporary fix, chatter will return after some time passes, and then new blades will not be properly aligned.

  • @a.c.e.7568
    @a.c.e.7568 Před rokem

    At 2:30, when your wipers are "parked", the blade is in that position for days until it rains again or unless you live in the Pacific North Wet. So they might take that shape as they get older and less pliable. The question I have is, why would a super stiff wiper arm need adjustment?

  • @johnstiles7709
    @johnstiles7709 Před rokem

    Before putting your wrenches on the painted wiper arm do this: put some easily removable masking tape where you plan to wrench it. THEN put duct tape over THAT tape. When you're done adjusting, pull off ALL the tape (and hopefully no paint).
